Laura at Fuda Tile & Marble in Ramsey was amazing! I initially visited this location just to browse and get an estimate. But Laura was so helpful, and the prices were so reasonable, that my search for my shower wall, bathroom floor, and kitchen backsplash tile ended here! I didn't have the exact measurements on my first visit (which I suggest taking before going), but Laura was still able to give me a very close estimate to what I needed. When I did get the measurements, I placed my order and put down a 50% deposit. The tile was available for pick-up within a reasonable time-frame. I had leftover, unused grout (which I was able to return), but the tile order was spot on! I had less than one box left of each kind of tile purchased. Dealt with Laura at Fuda Tile, Ramsey. Built a new home and bought our entire home from her. She is very fast paced but I have to say she was helpful. The problem occurred when we were picking a bathroom tile. We told her what we wanted and she did not have a sample in the store for us to see. She said it was white with black veins and she knew exactly what we wanted and she picked the grout color. OK great! Tile came in on time, no issues there. Tile guy put it up and the grout did not match AT ALL! Called Laura and she said I have to speak to the owner Evon Fuda. She gave me a song and dance about how they all looked the grout and think that Laura picked the best color. She said it happened to her also and she got used to it. Really you own the store and they made this mistake on your home? So...I went out with my left over tile and found out what grout companies they used and tested myself. Look below and you can be the judge. Laura picked the brightest white one in the middle. I would have picked the one on the right. I asked Evon how she is going to handle this she basically told me they think they picked the best color (of course what else would she say) and to stop obsessing over it and just accept it. She said that my tile guy gets enough business from the builder and have him change it out. Evon absolutely took no responsibly over this and basically said once it is out the door it is my problem. Could you imagine buying a whole house and this is what the owner tells you? Owner EVON FUDA would have no business without Laura! All Laura had to say was I made a mistake and I liked her so much I would have lived with it. The more Evon was rude to me the madder I got. Buyer Beware!!! The work is good but have an issue with countertop lining up. I emailed Sandra and Bob regarding the issue and received: workers showing up at 8 p.m. after instructions to be home last Wednesday 4-6 (I never answer door to strangers after sunset - bad experience here and it's a basic safety issue). Sandra and Bob have not returned my email but told my husband they sent workers here at 7 pm (still unacceptable) and never answered my email. Caveat emptor applies here. read more

Working with this store is. like. pulling. teeth. Where to begin... first impressions: dirty and unprofessional. Nonetheless, we chose a countertop and a few days later were told by a friend that the material we chose has an odor and emits toxins because it is manufactured in China.... So either the salesperson we worked with didn't know this, or knew this and decided not to tell us - either is a red flag. Then when we discussed the edges of the counters, we were handed a crumbled printout from like 1982 to reference the different edges. We ended up picking out an edge from a sample in the store, and none of the 3 sales reps could tell us what that specific edge was called. Another red flag. In the same initial appointment, we had chosen a backsplash and were ordering everything in one go... but when we were moving forward with taking measurements, etc. I realized that they had only set me up with 1 appointment for countertop measurements and not backsplash measurements. So, I called the store and asked when the backsplash tile people were available, and was basically told that they didn't know I wanted that too (we had ordered it with this person) and then finally that this could happen after the counters were put in.... (Fast-forward to the countertop install day when the guy tells me that you have to do the backsplash before the counters!) There are more eye-rolling incidents but I'll spare you the details. The only pleasant part of Fuda Tile was Bob from the Ridgefield store who was totally professional and deserves 5 stars. I'm sorry for having to write this, but as a business owner myself I feel compelled to. It would take just a little bit of effort and care, and this business could be brought into this century. read more

Was very pleased with my experience at fuda!! I walked in without an appointment and was greeted by Karen. I was able to look around at my leisure and was allowed to take home as many samples as I needed to see what fit in my home. A couple days later I came back with my pick and also got some design suggestions. The order came in a couple days later and picked it up right at there location. After purchase My contractor had some installation questions, so I gave Karen a call and she was more than happy to assist me. Need tile, go to Fuda and do yourself a favor and ask for Karen!! read more

I would give zero stars if possible. After multiple trips to this hell hole I can honestly say I never want to go back. The lack of help or cares is so disappointing to a point where you would just rather not get something you want to spite this terrible business. I explained to her what I envisioned and she ran all over the store collecting sample tiles for me to see. She put together 2 of my bathrooms and they are beautiful I wouldn't change a thing. This review is for Fuda Tile & Marble in Butler. We went there in January to get tiles to do the back splash in our kitchen. The salesperson suggested subway tile, which is not exactly exotic, but we agreed it would look good. However, he then strongly urged us to buy twice what we needed, "just in case", telling us that we could "always bring back what you don't use." On that premise, we agreed to take the extra. We finally finished the project, and then tried to bring the extra two boxes of tiles back this past weekend. Admittedly, we didn't have the receipt, but I did show them credit card evidence that we purchased it there, and after we insisted, they confirmed it in their records. I was willing to take it back at the price they now charge. However, now they tell us that the tile was a "special order" and that they can't take it back (despite the fact that they are now showing the tile as being on sale). I explained that we went to Fuda because we expected some personal service, and this was not it. We could easily have bought the tile at Lowes or Home Depot and returned the overage without a receipt. No dice. I spoke with the store manager, who then told me the tiles were off color and couldn't be returned! Then why did they sell them to us at a premium price? Much to my chagrin, I have been taken in by their "nice guy" shtick. I will never step foot in their stores again, AND I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO DO THE SAME, AT YOUR OWN PERIL! Twice I was told my order would be delivered on a date specific. When I went to pick up, same story.............. Sorry, I guess the driver forgot. Don't waste your time. Save yourself the aggravation and time. I am building a house and needed a lot of tile. The customer service could not have been worse. Poor note-taking so some of the tile selections were completely missed; took weeks to get samples; some samples they said they couldn't get; didn't have prices; didn't return phone calls; email inbox was full and couldn't accept messages, the list goes on. I tried the Ramsey and Elmwood Park stores, customer service was lacking at both. Their selection and prices are good for a one-off job but anything more and you're wasting your time. read more

Stay away from Fuda Tile. I had my marble vanity top for 1 day and some soap leaked out onto the top and it took the finish off. They said it is normal, and that soap will take the finish off marble. If that is so why would anyone have marble in their bathroom? It is ridiculous. They are very helpful when you buy, not helpful at all when you have a problem. I usually never write a review, but I was surprised by the bad reviews and I feel the need to post my thoughts. I am doing a master bath renovation, and I was told by my friend to go to Fuda for my tiles, mainly because there is a consultant there who is AMAZING. I took that for what it was, and walked in one Saturday afternoon. I met Laura the consultant, and she immediately remembered my friend and listened to my project. Since it was 15 minutes before closing time, she said to make an hour appointment with her. At this point, we had found a tile that we might be interested in, and she just let us take that home! A few days later, armed with my design thoughts, I met with her and explained what look I wanted for my bathroom. She quickly figured out my likes and dislikes, and 50 minutes later orders were done and we were out the door feeling very happy with our selections. A couple days later I realized that I needed to drastically change the amount of tiles we ordered, and without missing a beat she accommodated the change. She is great and you can tell she is very good at her job. read more

I had an excellent experience dealing with Fuda in Ramsey. Our salesperson Laura questioned me and my wife as to what look we wanted and then proceeded to bring out tiles for us to view. She even brought out tiles that she thought were on the fringe of what we might like. Through this process and with her excellent guidance we were able to purchase tiles for a kitchen back splash that we we probably would not have been able to put together. The Ramsey store has a huge selection of tiles. I highly recommend Fuda Tile to anyone looking for tiles and I highly recommend Laura. read more

She would not bother to help in any way because she might have felt my order to be too small. She was negative, RUDE, and COULDN'T CARE LESS. I would never recommend this store nor would I ever come back no matter how great a deal Fuda would be giving. I can't express how angry I am over the type of service this store provided. Laura is great there, and the product seems good, a bit expensive. They do however always order far too much product then you actually need when you give them the exact, proper square footage. So what ends up occurring is you have extra product (in this case over 3 boxes of expensive marble tiles) for a small bathroom Reno and there ARE NOT RETURNS. It is not like this is custom stuff, it could easily be restocked. Bad policy which seems to be in place to sell more to the customer than needed. read more
