Though the restaurant is not perfect, we truly enjoyed the customer service and how fast the service was. We had our food in minutes! The server also was very accommodating and even assisted my daughter in taking advantage of a free Supercard, birthday treat (which consists of one chicken meal and their famous dips and side of french fries), and was very nice to instruct her on how to claim her free pizza at Shakey's! The food was amazing and we truly enjoyed the chicken and the dips! It was a very enjoyable and one-of-a kind dining experience, indeed! Then just last Sunday, we went to Peri-Peri Charcoal in Festival Mall, Alabang, right after worship service, for lunch and for my son's birthday, expecting the SAME LEVEL OF SERVICE, with what we experienced in Peri-Peri Charcoal SM Southmall. We went in the restaurant, with dirty tables from previous customers, and the restaurant staff doesn't even bother one bit even if they already saw us. We thought maybe they're just busy since it's a Sunday and so we let it pass. Minutes passed but they're still not entertaining us. It feels as if we're not there. If my daughter did not ask for a menu from the staff, we will not start the process of ordering our food! The server just gave us the menu by just tossing it loudly on our tables as if she's mad or we are just a waste of time for them. It's very rude and unprofessional! My daughter also asked for one of tables to be cleaned but they just said that they're understaffed and the person who will clean the table is still not available! What??!! We let it pass since we just came from our worship service and the Pastor preached something about patience! So we just transferred to a "clean" table. It doesn't look clean and definitely doesn't smell clean. It still smell of the food from the previous customer who ate there minus the used plates and the food. They don't sanitize the table after removing the previous customer's plates and utensils. We waited for more than an hour for our food and finally, was served with it, BUT it was not our food! It's the next table's order. Good thing my daughter, who is already starving, did not eat the garlic bread or else it could have been worse! The food was served in a "carinderia" manner. The server did not even include the dips for the chicken, they only told us that it's "self-service"! One of our plates is dirty with still a trace of spaghetti on one of them! Disgusting! One of the pitcher of water on the other table has something floating on it! We saw it with our own eyes, and we want to throw up right then and there! In general, the experience at Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken Festival Mall is VERY FRUSTRATING, IT'S FILTHY and SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY! Your product is food and you should follow strict guidelines when it comes to food handling and service or else you will all lose your customers. Remember, without us, your customers, your diners, you will all not have a business. Please take care of your customers. We are paying for good food and good service to spend time with our families and enjoy a meal. WE DON'T DESERVE THIS KIND OF SERVICE! You can all do better than this!

There's just something about their egg tarts that sets it above and beyond most other egg tarts I've seen. I think it's the crust. Where most establishments tend to use a normal pie crust, Lord Stow's relies on this flaky crust that's almost akin to phylo dough. It's not *too* buttery but not at all bland. A perfect combination to the creamy, smooth egg custard filling. And call me an oddball but I rather like the burned, bubbly top. That skin is pretty tasty and it gives the custard a nice texture. They've expanded, too. Not only do they have egg tarts but they have cookies! They're decently sized, too. Probably a little smaller than palm sized. They're also not too dry which makes them great to have with coffee. If you aren't looking for sweets, there's also shing-a-ling, nuts and other things. Take note that this branch is pretty small, even for a food court stall. If you aren't looking for it, you probably won't know it's there. But the good thing is there isn't much of a crowd. You can just grab your pies and go. They really should make bigger egg pies.

They're the only one food place who can get it to taste exactly like you'd find in 5-star hotels in Macau. From the flaky, delicate crust to the smooth egg custard. It has a buttery after-taste with a hint of slightly burnt egg on top. Yummy! Some people want them bigger for the price, but I say that it is exactly the right size. It's big enough for you to savor the full flavor but just small enough so you don't feel over satiated by the egg filling. Really a delicious treat any time of the day. I prefer to take the home and heat them up a bit before eating.

A few weeks ago, I discovered that a branch has finally opened in Makati. At the streetside section of Glorietta 2, directly facing Landmark, it's hard to miss the place. What with a conspicuously designed name printed on its glass window and right above the entrance. Finding a seat is also not a problem as the dining area is huge and there are plenty of tables and chairs. I liked Wingstop even before I tasted their food. The reason: Their food choices are few. You'll not be overwhelmed by different options or types of food. Their menu revolves around chicken wings. Since their Makati branch is fairly new, I imagined that customers would take a long time to decide what to order. But it didn't take long for the people ahead of me to finish their transactions at the counter. It could be that everyone had already tried Wingstop and knew what to eat or it could be that 7:00pm is not a good time to eat wings (are you kidding me?). Since I was on my way home, I decided to have my orders in a takeaway bag. I simply wanted to sample their wings so I got a 7-piece order of wings with two flavors - Garlic Parmesan and Louisiana Rub. Both taste great but I liked the Louisiana Rub better because of its sweet and mild spicy flavor.

The innovative stall of Bad Bird sticked to the modernity of the look and upscale food options. I go for the plate of corn and coleslaw for P390 and with an additional sweet potato waffles for P95. The umami goodness justified the steep price points. The chicken is seasoned thoroughly and the skin is immensly crispy. You can choose any spice level from safe, spicy, and chemical. I take calculated risks and the safe level is enough for me. As a devotee of anything fried chicken, Bad Bird lives up to the hype. Whether you are here for lunch in between work or for a dinner over drinks, each plate serves it purpose for being a flavourful meal. Bad Bird opened a branch in SM Megamall fashion hall with upcoming stalls in Serendra in BGC, UP Town Center, and Robinson's Ermita. There's umami in almost every city in Manila

I consider Buffalo wings to be one of my favorite foods, so when someone declares this place to be one of the best wings in town, I had to find out for myself. Frankie's set-up is like the typical wings diner: homey and pleasantly cluttered. I had the garlic parmesan as recommended by the waiter, and the Frankie's Classic Buffalo. As it was the one flavor that took the restaurant's name as its title, the Frankie's classic was definitely the better order of the two. Everything I've been hearing about the place was right; this might be the best Buffalo wings place in the city! The Frankie's classic is a masterpiece, I don't know how many kinds of Buffalo wings I've tried in my life, but this time I think I've found the perfect original no frills wings.

We gobbled up those twelve drumettes and wingettes in no time! I also like the hip sporty NYC vibe going on here (and that's coming from someone who's totally not an athlete). Senor Pollo filled that bill perfectly. Tip: This is a very popular venue. The crowd is comprised mostly of twenty-somethings and foreigners (like moi!); if such things don't deter you, it's virtually impossible not to enjoy the excellent food, strong drinks and convivial vibe. Given Senor Pollo's reputation, it was a foregone conclusion that the food ordered by my friends and I that evening would contain several chicken selections. While the chicken here isn't quite as good as the original pollo loco, it's still completely legit ;-) Another of my favorites here are the quesadillas. Additionally, they have several very popular non-Mexican items, including fries and Buffalo wings. While the food selections are spot on, it's the drinks that make this place so popular. All the cocktails, whether they're pink and fruity or uber-Manly, have a kick stronger than a mule; no worries about excess sobriety when you're here ;-) About the only thing lacking here are hangover ready-made hangover cures; maybe they'll address that lack when next I'm in the Philippines :-)
