As I approached the food truck, I was immediately greeted by the staff. I ordered Birria Tacos and one of the staff members asked me if I wanted anything to drink and he asked me did I want to try a juice they made. The juice was called Passion Fruit Juice and as I sampled the juice, it was so refreshing so I ordered a cup. The Birria Tacos were delicious, flavorful, crispy, and the cheese melt was just the right amount of cheese. A lot of places cannot make Birria Tacos but these Birria Tacos were right on the money. One thing I love about them is their presentation. The Passion Fruit Juice came with a strawberry that looked like a rose. When I'm in the area I will definitely be back again to visit there food truck

Service - Kind people and made the food in a timely manner…read moreconsidering everything was fresh. Ambiance - They have a table for people who want to sit down near by, you can choose to wait there or leave and come back. They have the option of a beeper to notify you when your food is ready. I ended up staying until my name was called. They had music playing & seemed very organized! Food - I ordered a birria ramen and it came with a free birria taco!! The birria ramen had good flavor, I wish it had thicker noodles. The noodles were a bit too thin for my liking. I did add in shredded mozzarella cheese to tie it in and in the end it was a 7.5/10! If they had different noodles it would be a 8.5/10. Now the birria taco.... AMAZING. Hit the spot for what I was craving!! I loved the crunch, flavor and dipped it in my consumé for extra flavor. The presentation for everything was very pleasing and I definitely will come back here and try more items on their menu. Drinks - Great selection, would love to come back and try one for sure. I didn't end up grabbing one this time. I do like the presentation for these. Location - Next to Trinity college at end of a road. You are able to park on the street for free. I walked a few minutes to get to it with no issues. There is another truck next door to it as well.

We were the only customers there! I had seen on-line that three food trucks would be present, but there were just two -The Gulla Grille (Brazilian) and Taste of Home (Puerto Rican). Aunties Pasta (Italian) wasn't there. The designers of Westside really need to get a lot of credit for the beautiful job they did in salvaging this forlorn corner of Hartford. The dozens of wood tables and benches were made from old recycled industrial spools, and they are really amazing. There are corn hole boards, beer pong table, Giant Jenga, Connect Four, a movie screen, a music stage, and a bar spread throughout the property so there's a ton of things to do there. I had a kebab plate from Gulla and my wife had a cheeseburger from Taste of Home. She was given one of those buzzing gizmos to tell her when her food was ready. I knew my lunch was ready when the guy flagged me down like he was hailing a cab. I love the concept of food truck courts and I suspect Westside is quite a bit busier in the evenings that it was lunch time on a holiday weekend Saturday, when we had the place to ourselves..

This is the second time I have bought something from this truck. Where I live has food trucks come…read moresome nights and the first time I tried this place, the wait was a long time. They were supposed to be here from 4-8 and I didn't time how long it was taking but I went up there twice and they claimed that they were waiting for the rice to finish. I probably was one of the first customers so I figured they might not have been ready and they had given me a free soda and a free dessert and extra pork so I wasn't too irritated about the situation. Plus the people who work the truck are very nice. Today, I was incredibly annoyed because I should have just cooked like I planned to. My food would have gotten done faster than they boxed up the food I bought. I paid almost 60 dollars including a tip to wait almost an hour for two pork bowls and rice. I wasn't given a wait time when I ordered the food so I just went to sit in my car outside my building since I figured it wouldn't take that long. After half an hour I decided to go see why the thing they gave me hadn't buzzed yet. When I went over, they were chatting up other customers having a great time. I asked about my order and they claimed it had been called already, so I figured it was just a mistake, but then someone else said they were still waiting on one more pork bowl. So I went inside, put away my groceries, washed my dishes, took out the trash and finally when I returned the food was done. If they ever come back here, I won't be spending my money with them, as nice as they are, they have held up my time twice and the food isn't worth my time. Oh and all I got for all that wait was a "God bless you" so I hope the Lord blesses them with better time management and that we never meet again.

There were plenty of lobster dishes on the menu; from lobster and hot dog, lobster grilled cheese, lobster roll, and more. There were dishes up to $50 plus dollars. My husband had the lobster and hot dog, he said it was delicious. I had the lobster and shrimp grilled cheese. There were plenty of chunks of lobster and shrimp. The grilled cheese was loaded and cheesy, it was better than I expected. I am a fan! The fries were crispy and the people working there were nice. If you're a lobster fan and see this food truck, I highly recommend.

My favorite time of year? The moment I get to head back to Lobster Landing…read more There's just something magical about this place. Tucked right on the water, it's a peaceful, no frills seafood shack where you can sit outside, watch the boats glide by, breathe in the salty air, and let the day slow down. It's New England summer at its absolute best. Everyone talks about their famous lobster rolls (and for good reason because people travel far for them), but I'm a clam chowder girl through and through. And let me tell you: Lobster Landing has the best clam chowder I've had anywhere. It's creamy, fresh, loaded with clams, and the corn is sweet and crisp like it was just shucked that morning. The vibe here? Super laid-back. Pretty sure it's BYOB, and people come prepared. The picnic tables are almost always full, but somehow there's always a seat when you need one. The staff is always smiling, and it never feels rushed. Just chill. If you're looking for the perfect coastal stop this summer, this is it. Bring a friend, bring a drink, bring your appetite, and prepare to fall in love with Connecticut shoreline dining. If the line is around the corner, slather on the SPF and catch a tan. It's worth the wait!
