The staff was very friendly and helpful. Because I'd never been before, they explained that we ordered at the top of the stairs and they would deliver our food to a table after we sat down at one. The staff at Millwright's is great, so it isn't surprising that they were here too! The space itself is casual. I came on a weekday evening and there were several empty tables remaining, and the weather outside was perfect. From the pictures, you can tell that they are creating a tiki atmosphere, which was perfect for the space. I could imagine that on a rainy or humid day though, it might be a little less than pleasant to eat outside. The food really earned this place such a great review. I've been to a handful of restaurants recently locally where I had high expectations, and I was disappointed. That was not the case here! The drinks were great (we had El Guapos), and all of the food was delicious. My favorite items were the mushroom 'chorizo' nachos and the Baja fish taco. The 'chorizo' didn't taste much like true chorizo and wasn't spicy, but I didn't care because it was still delicious! The corn chips seemed fresh and all the flavors worked well together. I would recommend to anyone local to try this place this summer. It has amazing food and a great, casual atmosphere. I'll definitely be returning here before the summer is over!

They have seating inside and outside, lots of picnic tables, and a lot of places for small children to run around. Dogs are welcome outside and of the three or so there, were all well behaved. I didn't try the food because the kitchen opened at like four in the afternoon. There was also a food truck outside. It looked like typical bar food but the small children loved it.

The owner came over to say hello to my mom and when mom told her it was her birthday, the owner disappeared and came back with 3 shots of tequila, gratis. Nice. Oh and it's affordable to boot. We stepped into a beautiful colorful decor inside. The seating is intimate and not over stuffed. Seating on the side porch is accessible any season. Service, fast, friendly, efficient, and very willing to host questions and make suggestions. Mixed beverages are deliciously tropical. Plates absolutely a pleasure to the eye and more so to the belly.

I ordered the New York strip with candied yams and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was a little bland but was still edible. It was my first time trying candied yams and it was so rich, sweet, and delicious. I had my steak well done and it was so juicy. The serving size was also pretty decent as I had leftovers for the next day. For my drink, I had the soho punch which was very tasty and fruity. To be able to take pictures I believe you have to pay for that part separately, however, based on the numbers in our party, they told us we could take pics and you know the model I am, I went around and took photos at nearly all the photo booths. Each photo station has a ring camera with a ring light which makes it perfect for taking pictures especially if you do not have anyone to take your pictures. All the others in my party also enjoyed their meals. They had jerk chicken alfredo, fried whiting fish, salmon alfredo, Buffalo chicken wings, burgers and so much more. Next time I would probably try something different. I heard they just got a new chef so I'm interested in the flavors she's bringing to the kitchen.
