I have been wanting to visit Fuel Good Nutrition located in Glendora. I just haven't had a chance until today. Its shop is in a corner plaza with limited businesses at this time. It looks like the anchoring stores have closed down. Hope they get some new tenants soon. After entry, I was greeted with a big welcome by two ladies. One of them happened to be the new owner. I asked her about their drink offerings. She was very nice and enthusiastic to share the information. Thank you Miss! They offer protein smoothies in 24g ($12) or 36g ($14), energy teas ($9), bowls ($13.50), protein ice coffees ($8.50), and more. She recommended the salted caremel pretzel protein smoothie. That's what I got in the 24g size. It was huge and had plenty of goodness. I can taste all 3 ingredients. They were blended nicely together. Well done! This shop has good comfortable space. Very limited seating though. There was only a small couch. Maybe they'll get more seating later. Yum yum. Everything we order was good. My daughter had been wanting to come. We realized that it closes at 3pm, so we rushed to get a treat. I ordered from their special menu the Peach mango lemonade. It was so good it went down like water. My daughter had a Berry bowl and I tried it and it was really good too. She did add more granola at home. This place is definitely inviting and the staff is nice and attentive. There's plenty of parking up front. Best of all this shopping center isn't too busy. I ordered the Blue Lagoon "Blue Coconut" Energy Tea (32oz - $9). The drink arrives in one size, and it's humongous. I sipped about 20%, and I still feel jitters from its strong caffeine. The Blue Lagoon "Blue Coconut" Energy Tea sincerely tastes refreshing. I enjoy its faint coconut taste, and this drink does not have a chemical aftertaste. The drink does taste clean. However, this beverage feels more utilitarian than recreational. The taste is not unique nor special; rather, the drink's flavor reminds me of a watered down version of any supermarket's bottled bai coconut drink. In addition, Fuel Good Nutrition (Glendora) does not offer paper receipts for purchases; rather, they request your email or phone number for a digital version. [Important Note: Unfortunately, Fuel Good Nutrition uses gimmicks to garner reviews. They offer $1 off your drink if you use their QR Code. I ignored it. I am not a fan of this tactic since the average user would unlikely criticize a business if they are getting a discount.] Unfortunately, Fuel Good Nutrition (Glendora) has very weak ambiance. The exterior is shiny and sleek, but its interior resembles a murky 80s waiting room. The location is relatively clean, but there's unswept trash bits behind its chairs and corners. The miniature glass tables had dried stains. And its walls had that splotchy dated color. Thankfully, Fuel Good Nutrition (Glendora) plays amped and energetic music. Fortunately, Fuel Good Nutrition (Glendora) genuinely offers some of the best customer service that I've ever seen. Staff is personable, welcoming, and extremely enthusiastic. My drink took about one minute to complete. Fast! Also, staff worked extremely hard to initiate conversation with me. They'd continually ask conversation starters and upbeat commentary which is very much appreciated. Most strangely enough, I observed how the one staff member would converse with patrons into full blown, lengthy conversations. If this place ever gets extremely busy, I'm uncertain how this would work; however, Fuel Good Nutrition (Glendora) works very hard to build long lasting relations with its customers. Overall, I had a decent experience at Fuel Good Nutrition (Glendora). The "Review Promotion" felt shady, but the location's charismatic staff and solid, functional beverage is welcomed. Was my daughters and I first time so didn't really know the hours, showed up at 17:30. They were closed but the owner was there unloading her car and graciously let us in. service was so very friendly ! 5 stars. place seemed clean, new, with just a couple bar stools. deducting 3 stars for the rest: where it goes downhill is unfortunately, after investigating / googling "herbalife cookies & cream" (what i ordered), i realized the smoothie was made out of a product that i wouldn't choose to drink after reading the ingredients online (especially already having problems with inflammation), and especially after seeing tons of articles about the company that we're not so positive, to say the least. i also had a bit of a reaction around my mouth after a couple sips, granted i've been immunocompromised this past month, i am extra sensitive to less than clean ingredients. i never knew what herbalife was but remember seeing a giant sign in LA live and some people wearing t-shirts with the logo. turns out there's a handful of these herbalife type of smoothie places around that LOOK like it could be one of those places that serve juices, acai bowls, etc. except not. that's what i was hoping to find when i was around the area waiting for my medication at the CVS nearby... sigh. you live and you learn. they ask for your email & phone number at checkout. you could probably opt out of that. i revoke my consent to giving it. read more
