    Pineapple Aguas Frescas ($9 - 32oz) - Close Up
    Ian A.

I had a good experience at Aguitas by El Chamango (Glendora). I ordered the Pineapple Aguas Fresca ($9 - 32oz). It's HUGE!! Sliced fruit floated in this thirst quenching drink. I felt happy as I sipped. (Important: The cup container is very wide! The cup does not fit in a standard car cupholder.) I arrived at Aguitas by El Chamango (Glendora) on Monday (around 5:43PM). Parking is simple; I had quickly found a spot. It's located inside the clean, big Glendora Public Market Food Hall. Staff is friendly. When Staff arrived, I was helped promptly. The drinks are all premade within the displayed containers, so there's no wait. As mentioned, I enjoyed the Pineapple Aguas Fresca ($9 - 32oz). The drink is not too sweet nor watery. There's a clean taste of fresh pineapple. As I sipped, I can also see sliced pineapple floating within. It's also HUGE! I cheerfully sipped. Regarding ambiance, Aguitas by El Chamango (Glendora) is a stall inside the Glendora Public Market Food Hall. The location felt clean and airy. There's also plenty of indoor seating. I felt comfortable during my experience. Overall, I had a good experience at Aguitas by El Chamango (Glendora). The drinks are BIG and refreshing. I left with a smile. 4.7 out of 5

Cute agua fresca shop that's inside the Glendora Public Market. The shop itself looked clean and the agua frescas were all in display where you can see all their flavors. Service was ok. My husband and I shared a passion fruit agua fresca since it's only one size (32 oz) which was huge. The agua fresca was good but was a bit sweet. We didn't try the crepes or ice cream so this review was about the agua fresca. It was a bit pricey for one drink ($9 plus tip).

I was at Glendora Public Market to pick up a sandwich from Gold Banh. Unfortunately, they no longer serve their sandwiches with duck. I was bummed about it. Fortunately, I saw Aguitas By El Chamango. It kinda made up for the sandwich. The young lady at Aguitas was friendly and nice. She was the only staff here at the time. It has a very cute and colorful store front. They sell agua frescas and crepes. I went for the drink this time around. I'll try their crepe next time. There were 7 to 8 flavors. You may sample as many flavors as you would like. I tried the soursop. It was good. However, I went with the young lady's recommendation of cucumber lime + watermelon. I should have tasted it before leaving because this combination did not taste right for some reason. Hence, 3 stars! This doesn't mean I won't come back again. I'll just have to choose a better combination next time.

    Beautiful display

Pastaphony bills itself as "Where pasta gets a personality."…read more Judging from the fiery heat that blasted outtve my plentiful order of Pasta Arrabbiata, I'd venture that my particular entree's personality was, indeed, zesty and irascible...to the point of inedible. On this particular weeknight, your favorite Yelp correspondent was pivoting in and out of Glendora's Food Hall like a metronome, ferrying a quartet of meals from the hall for my wee Uber gig. Pastaphony caught my attention within moments of nesting my customer's order into my insulated carrier- my SUV's cabin was redolent of cheese, tomatoes and overall hone-cooked goodness! I went with Pasta Arrabbiata, then customized my order by adding a breaded chicken breast, black olives, onions, roasted peppers and shaved parmesan. On the plus side, Pastaphony gives ample portions- My entree weighed almost as much as a two-item combo platter from your friendly neighborhood Chinese takeout place! And, while the dish took me to Flavortown...unfortunately it was the Mojave Desert, with its scorching flavor profile and intense, spicy taste. The star of the dish was the breaded chicken cutlet and the shaved parm, but since the penne pasta overwhelmed the chicken/parm by an eight to one ratio...this was a difficult dish to finish. Context- As the acknowledged "lightweight" in a family of folks who typically relish spicy food, I asked my wife to sample my dish. She was born in Michoacacan and regularly quaffs homegrown Serrano and Habanero peppers like they're ice. Even she was surprised by how utterly spicy my pasta dish was! My entree cost $26.39 after taxes, a wee steep for a single protein pasta dish. By comparison, you can spend $1 more at any Johnny Carinos or Olive Garden and get a three-item combo with bread and/or salad accompaniments. So I wasn't satisfied by the "value for money" question, either. This experienced reviewer probably ordered the WDD (Wrong Damn Dish) but at their prices (a side of garlic bread or breadsticks is $10.99!) one os hesitant to retake the plunge.

As someone who belongs to several wine clubs, I was excited to discover a spot like this right in my own backyard. The showroom selection was beautiful, and the chocolate offerings (especially the blood orange dark chocolate) were a standout. Unfortunately, the experience quickly went downhill due to the service. When I asked the sommelier about their champagne, his response came across as arrogant and dismissive, implying that "everyone knows" it was entry-level and basic. It felt unnecessary and off-putting, especially when I was genuinely interested. After enjoying the band for a bit, my friends and I decided to sit on the outdoor patio, which looked very inviting. As I walked out, the sommelier actually chased after me along with another man from the doorway to tell me I couldn't take my wine outside. It felt uncomfortable and unnecessarily confrontational. When I asked why there was a seating area if drinks weren't allowed, the response was unclear and inconsistent. Overall, this place has great potential and a lovely atmosphere, but the sommelier's attitude really ruined the experience. It's especially disappointing if he is the owner, because that sets the tone for the entire establishment.
