I wanted to write this review while it is fresh in my head and my body is still sore (in a good way). Molly is the owner of FUELhouse. The new training studio opened 6/1. It's located right behind EVO on 35th street. She had been training clients out of the salsa studio in Fremont so yesterday was a big day for her and her existing clients in the new facility. I attended the 5:30pm all strength class by referral from a friend. Molly greeted me with a hug and a huge smile. She really welcomed me as part of her fitness family, so did her other students. Note: She offers an orientation that twice a week if you are new to fitness or studio style training so I was excited (and a little nervous) that she welcomed me into her Monday evening class. I seemed to pass the test! The music is good (mix of pop, old school rap and hits), the circuit is a well planned mix of total body training with heavy weight. It's that mix of cardio and strength training that I like. The details: FUELhouse has a bathroom but no locker or shower facilities. Their are cubbies to put your belongings in and a lounge separate from the fitness floor where you can wait for the next class, stretch or just relax. She even has wifi. I changed at work and was ready when I got to the studio but now I can see maybe changing in the restroom if I were running late. She has classes all week long, mornings and evenings which I think helps keep her class sizes small (less than 10) so you get a true personal training experience. She's active on social media and even has arranged a Paleo food truck that parks in her lot so you can get in a lunch and a workout. She does it all. The rates are fair. I've done some research and FUELhouse is the most cost effective studio near me for this kind of training. So, check it out. Your first week is free. tl;dr: JUST. DO. IT.! --------- I started working out at FUELhouse through the 6-Week GetFueled program with some amazing and strong ladies and I've been hooked since. Molly and Tiff, 2 coaches I've interacted with, are truly encouraging and full of positivities. I'd say the workout style here is a combo of crossfit, weight lifting, kettlebells and bootcamp. They also offer kickboxing (7am though) and yoga. Trust me, the 60 min workout passes way faster than you think. Whenever I sign up at a gym, the first question at the initial consultation is, "How much weight do you want to lose?" At FUELhouse, our initial consultation consisted of talking about my workout habits, my eating habits, and my sleep. As it turns out, the sleep was a big thing getting in the way of my fitness, and I hadn't ever thought about it. I was just grinding away, and not seeing much of a difference. It's been almost a year, and I'm stronger, healthier emotionally and physically, and I make smarter decisions about food. Plus, I got my sleep issues addressed, which has improved my overall quality of life in a major way. Molly has built an incredible community of kind, encouraging, friendly people. The workouts are obviously great, and each trainer brings something different to the table. All of the programming leads up to a particular goal or activity. For example, in the winter, the focus is on strengthening and balancing for snow sports. Each trainer sincerely cares about every individual. Molly's classes are my favorites! She is a wonderful person. I play a lot of soccer and have tried out many different types of fitness classes and workout videos (e.g. Jillian Michaels, Bob Harper, Amy Dixon, P90X, Insanity, etc...), and Molly Scott's classes are the best total body workouts I have ever experienced. She incorporates a little bit of everything: balance work, weight training, cardio circuits, and agility and core work. Class is never boring because she is always changing the format and coming up with fun new circuits and drills. She is incredibly attentive during class, monitoring form and accommodating people of all ages who are new to exercise or just getting back into it while still providing advanced athletes with a great workout. When I was injured, she gave me modifications and helped me work within my limitations while still giving me a great workout. Molly is very knowledgeable about nutrition as well. When you have a question, she gets back to you promptly and always has helpful suggestions. I wasn't expecting much when I signed up for a thirty-day challenge with her, given that I already lead a fairly healthy lifestyle, but I had great results. I went from 20.8% body fat to 17.2% and lost 9.6 pounds in thirty days. An added bonus was that her welcoming nature and enthusiastic personality created camaraderie in the classroom. I have been a FuelHouse member for going on 3 months and I couldn't be happier to have found such a special place! I'm a recent Seattle transplant from the Philly area - I loved my Philly gym and didn't think I would be able to find a place in Seattle I liked as much, but fortunately I was wrong. Most classes are open floor circuit training style (kettle bells, ropes, body weight, etc) - there is a ton of variety and I don't get bored. You can ramp the workout up or down depending on how your body is feeling that day and I'm always happily exhausted after class. I love that there are boxing classes a few times a week because sometimes you just need to hit something. Molly is the best - from the start she took time to understand my injuries (low back) and checks in with me during class to give relevant modifications if needed. All trainers and experts at FuelHouse I have come across - Tess, Erin, Meghan, Anna - are awesome! Get in here now! This place is truly a gem of a gym. The owner Molly and all of the fabulous coaches have created such an inclusive and welcoming space for everyone from the ultra Crossfitter to the fitness newbie and everyone else in between. You see the whole range of all ages, body types, and fitness levels, in a welcoming non-judgmental space, unlike 99.99% of all gyms I've ever visited. You can find nutrition coaching, personal training, fun and supportive people, cute dogs (!!!), inspiration, and tons of classes that will motivate you in boxing, kettlebells (my personal favorite!), yoga, barbells (Meghan is a barbell badass), bodyweight exercises, and agility/balance/mobility. All the coaches are so smart and professional, and share so much knowledge in a supportive and adaptive environment with plenty of modifications, as well as giving solid info on nutrition, health, and mobility. They also have so much FUN and are so accessible as actual humans who model ways to be healthy while living their life. I have learned so much about better nutrition as a member and so appreciate their approach of building healthy habits over time. They make health and fitness a sustainable lifestyle that is attainable. I am so glad I stumbled in after a few false starts and stuck with it. I have been here a few times with Class Pass and honestly Molly is the reason I have stayed with it. She creates the most positive, inclusive, and chill environment for everyone. Also- she is incredible at remembering everyone's names. I had never done kettle bell work before but after one class I felt confident and ready to come back the following week. I found Molly through Fit Mob last spring and am so glad I did. I joined FUELhouse immediately after it opened (she was doing classes at other studios beforehand) and feel that I have found a really empowering place to workout. My fitness background is mostly in Crossfit/powerlifting, but I found myself frequently getting injured. I knew that I needed to find a gym that focused on safety and I have done just that. I am still nursing an injury from before I knew Molly and she has been really great about modifying workouts for me when needed. I had to take some time off from the gym after I sustained a non-gym related injury and she even offered to let me use the facility for rehab and spoke to my physical therapist before I returned to work out to make sure she understood what my limitations were. The workouts are always fun and I love the other members that go to classes there. Molly has done a great job building a sense of community within the gym. You may even sometimes find her fur baby in the gym to greet you. The workouts themselves always vary, but she incorporates a lot of kettle bell, TRX, and barbell work. If you don't know how to use any of this equipment, don't worry, she won't let you start without proper instruction, so no need to be intimidated. read more

This is so much more than a gym. The trainers are all dedicated to making everyone shine. Every little accomplishment is acknowledged and every effort is made to make each of us better than when we walked in. So much thought is put into the weekly and monthly programming to make sure all of our body parts are targeted. There is so much variety in the programming that you never know what combination of moves/ exercises you'll be executing when you walk in. The surprise is what brings me back and the results is what makes me stay. Aside from making us move and be stronger, Fuelhouse also weaves nutrition focus into the culture. I thought I was a healthy and cautious eater and could never figure out how to loose my belly fat (I was pretty happy with the rest of me). Through one of their nutritional programs and the help that provided me, I soon realized how wrong I was about how much and what I was eating and that not all movements burn fat equally. By understanding what was causing my problems I am now down 2 clothing sizes and no longer worry about vacation and holiday binges. When I'm away, I always feel incomplete. As someone who is pretty new to truly cultivating a lifestyle around fitness and wellness, I cannot say enough about this gym. The trainers there are exceptional! They're positive people who work hard to help you figure out how to be your healthiest self. I love the gym because the trainers certainly push you toward growth and wellness minus the competitive factor that exists at a lot of gyms, which has historically been a turn off for me. In other words, you really see results and growth at this gym but in an atmosphere of friendly trainers and members who encourage you rather than intimidate you! Life changing! I started working out at FUELhouse in July of 2015, shortly after they opened. I'd been doing ClassPass and had tried a lot of different gyms, but found myself always wanting to come back to FUELhouse. The programming was fun and challenging and all the coaches were great. I was at a point where I was struggling with my weight, in spite of regular workouts and pretty solid eating. I signed up for an 8 week "recharge" program at FUELhouse and put ClassPass on hold and fully committed, hopeful to lose a few pounds. Well, I lost 12 in that 8-week recharge but more valuable and sustainable was that it totally overhauled my outlook on eating and fitness. No longer was it just about being lean, it became about being strong! Slowly I lost 30 lbs and 18 inches and most importantly, I've kept it off and increased my strength. The coaches are AMAZING and so knowledgeable, inspirational, and real. And 100% committed to every member. The gym is a true community of awesome people and if you commit, you will get results. I was never into gyms or even fitness really. I was intimidated and I didn't really understand, I just saw people running on treadmills and guys trying to get big arm muscles in my head. I've only done yoga for the last 5 years, and I still love yoga. I found fuelhouse through class pass and then ended up quitting that and becoming a full time member at fuel almost a year and a half ago. The trainers are amazing and really care about each person and what's going on in their body. I have learned so much and the right form and techniques to do new movements. I never feel like I'm going to get hurt or that I'm being pushed too much. I feel stronger than ever before and it feels awesome! The other members at the gym are a range of brand new to experienced and all body types and the classes are perfect for each person because they can be tailored to fit exactly what you need.
