I've been here probably 50+ times in the few years I've lived in Longview. While it's not the best sushi I've ever had, it's the best in the area. The fish is always fresh and the service is always consistent. It's also relatively inexpensive as far as sushi goes. I've had a number of their specialty rolls with the Oishii roll being my favorite. My go to order is the chicken gyoza and salmon/tuna avocado rolls. Great spot if you're in the area. read more

Granddaughter turned 15 and she absolutely loves sushi. Her mother took her here for lunch and asked us to take her back for her birthday dinner. We agreed. Hubby ordered a Steve roll and a redhead roll. Granddaughter ordered a tiger roll and a kantana roll. She ate half her what she thought was her kantana roll when she told us she got the wrong roll. Looking at the receipt we were charged for two Steve rolls. So yes the wrong roll was given to her. But this was the only problem. Food was delicious. I had the chicken teriyaki which came out on a sizzling skillet with onions, green peppers. Two chicken breasts with teriyaki sauce and a bowl of rice. It was great!!! Service was prompt and our server was on point except for the sushi roll. It's not a fancy place but it's clean, and not busy on a Monday night. It was a little expensive in my book. Oh...my...gosh. If I lived in Longview, I'd be here 2 or 3 times a week. Our table ordered 3 kinds of sushi, many different rolls and tempura shrimp. All of it was very good. The sushi was on the small side, but tasted fresh and I'd order it all again. My favorite had to be the red head roll (without cucumber) though. The prices were about what you'd expect at a sushi place and the staff was very friendly. Our server checked on us regularly and made sure our waters were always full. I ordered the katana roll. I always double check the menu to make sure I don't have crab. It didn't say crab anywhere in the menu. When it came I ate a bite and noticed the crab. I asked the lady why it had crab on it and she said it was on the menu.... So when I looked again it says kani which is apparently crab. I didn't know that. They stated crab on every other item but used the word kani on this. I tried to explain to the lady that people look for that and she just argued and acted as if it was my fault. Lady that seated us was not real friendly! To smile would not hurt! We ordered two Long Island Ice-Tea, fried oysters for an appetizer and 2 orders of Chirashi Sushi. The drinks were good! First we got Muso Soups which were good. Instead the oysters we were served fried calamari's which we returned. Then we were served one order of the Sushi! I ordered the steak rare so that when I reheat it, it cooks to the right temperature (med rare). A few menu items came up to $50. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the sweetest woman (one of the owners) she as so patient while I asked questions about the menu. There were numerous calls and groups of people all coming in at the same time. Everyone was addressed quickly and seated within seconds of walking in. The same woman walked by nearly all the tables while I was waiting on my take out order. She greeted each table and even recognized a group that may have required a high chair for their child. I ended up ordering an appetizer, 2 rolls, and a hibachi entree. The tempura vegetable & shrimp appetizer is as good as I've had anywhere. The rolls were extremely fresh, and generously apportioned. Not skimpy on the meat. The hibachi was different, with a thin steak cut into strips, with a much different sauce than I'm accustomed to. And it came with Lo Mein noodles, with the rice on the side. My husband has a severe shellfish allergy and when he got his food last night we noticed there was shrimp on his plate, we asked our waitress Sophia to please return and remake the food without shrimp because we didn't know there would be shellfish and we apologized for inconveniencing them. NOT even 2 minutes later a "new" plate came out and we even asked Sophia twice if this is the same plate and she told us "they remade it". My husband was violently throwing up about 10 minutes after we left. They served him the same plate after we expressed several times that shellfish could kill him. Probably one of the best sushi places in Longview, Texas (tied with Osaka). The sushi is fresh and tasty. Yes, this restaurant is in the middle of a strip mall, but don't let it deceive you. This is also a very clean place with plenty of seating at tables, booths and at the bar overlooking the people making sushi. The wait staff is a little slow and you have to be very, very clear with your drink orders Food: For starters, order the edamame and avocado salad. The avocado salad is seriously the best. It'll surprise you! As for sushi rolls, we ordered the Angel roll, katana roll, Texas roll and the Geisha roll. My favorite was the Geisha roll, and the angel roll is definitely worth a try (has a fire and ice like taste). Not being from East Texas but recently relocating here it's been a challenge to find a good Sushi place. I think I may have found it. They were SWAMPED tonight with a huge table (18 people) and there wasn't a empty table in the rest of the house. So I (gladly) sat at the sushi bar. Service was amazingly good for the chaos and while it wasn't the best I've ever had, I WILL BE BACK!
