I was on Thanksgiving holiday and we were tired of turkey. My relatives had been to this restaurant several times and it was highly recommended. Great choice! The food was delicious! I ordered the Hibachi shrimp from the lunch menu. Delicious. It came with a side of soup or salad. I got both. Yummy. The only suggestion I would give is for improvements to the salad. The salad was nothing but lettuce, dressing and a few croutons. There were no other veggies on the salad. I was disappointed. The main course was very good. Crisp, fresh, well seasoned food. The service was great, too. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Very generous portion sizes. This restaurant has an extensive menu, as well. I loved the decor. It was Japanese without screaming it was Japanese. Very nice and understated. The restaurant was accessible, too. This restaurant was located in a strip mall and easy to access. Their sushi is generally good, but I've had bad rolls there. When they first opened, they lacked the popular grill-side hibachi options, which didn't bother me, but was obviously a let down for some people - they've since expanded and are now a full-service generic Japanese sushi and hibachi place. They cost more than their competitors, but their food isn't any better, nor is the atmosphere. read more

Lunch time on a Sunday. Good sushi in a land locked area. House salad comes heavily dressed in a ginger dressing, which was tasty but a bit grainy. Ask for dressing on the side if you prefer control of it. Miso soup was good, probably packaged as the miso pieces were so small it reminded me of dehydrated versions. But I love miso soup regardless. I tried the white peach cold sake (sweet, 8oz bottle) which was nice, but reminded me of peach wine, so would probably not order again. Mango Tango roll was delicious, would order again! I ordered tamago and octopus sushi at the end of the meal and probably shouldn't have waited as the restaurant got rather busy and there was a delay in receiving them. Good tamago is an indicator or sushi quality (order at the beginning to tell the chef you know what you're doing, lol). This tamago was good, not as creamy and light as others. The octopus was a little chewy, but then we are land locked, so to be expected. Overall, service was attentive, and they did apologize for the delay and mentioned only one chef on this unexpectedly busy day. I would bring family and friends here for a good experience. read more

if I could rate a lower star I would the service was terrible almost an hour at our table of three dressed casually and was profiled at poplar bluff only a total of 9 people the worst waitresses I have ever seen in a food place no manners no respect lazy spent more time talking to each other then helping people with there orders we didn't even get asked what we wanted to drink after 30 minutes the other customers were at least nice but staff can't say the same if you wanted something good and good service don't come here it's a shame to have peoples top reviews posted when it's far from true first and last time I will go here read more

I prefer the places in Cape but the service was friendly, fairly priced. I just felt it lacked some flavor. My kids enjoy it. It's a nice atmosphere and pretty inside. They are doing a great job. Overall it's definitely worth going and I'll be back. read more

If you come hungry, you will leave hungry. Be prepared to grab a burger at McDonalds when you leave. $22.50 for steak and shrimp. Shrimp was rubbery and the steak was 5 bites. Not kidding, 5 bites of beef. If you go half hungry, you will be fine. 4 people $125. read more

Beautiful food, fresh & well-seasoned. We keep going back for the best dining experience in town! Moderately priced, the restaurant has a laid-back atmosphere. Just today I was sipping hot green tea & eating yummy cucumber sushi while Dylan sang & played his harmonica in the background. Ahhhhhh... Mike Morrow, the manager, was everywhere, & although it was lunchtime & busy, the service was excellent, & everyone was very, very friendly. I like that I am able to watch the food being prepared across the dining room. I like it that the cooks are getting along so well & are smiling as they prepare the food. Great food. Our waiter Jackson was super nice and friendly and kept our drinks full the whole time. The only reason I don't give it the full five stars is because they don't give you any yum yum sauce with your to go order of rolls which I think is ridiculous, they should because it goes great with them but the owners don't think that and insist charging you an arm and a leg for each cup of it. read more

We went today for a birthday lunch. Everything was great. The server Makinzie was all smiles. She was super nice to the kids.
