Unfortunately for us, although the inspection noted several major issues for correction, several minor details were missed which will now become major headaches to repair. The master bathroom was flagged for cracked grout on the base of the shower; however, the inspector missed cracked floor and corners tiles in the same area. Although crawlspace floor joists were noted as being improperly supported, following correction and re-inspection confirming everything was OK, we discovered several subfloor panels were now loose causing pops and creaks throughout the living space. Doors that don't stay open, doors that don't close, door seals that do not properly seal to outside, missing striker plates, missing doorstops, gutters in front porch that did not catch run off water, partially protruding fasteners and nails on walls and trim... all in all small new construction errors that we wish the inspector had spent more time combing over specially for a new build. Considering several other minor issues that did go on the report only did so because we pointed them out ourselves and requested they be included, we were left feeling blindsided by the many small quality issues we see daily as we spent more time living in our new home. I would not recommend my city home inspector for new home purchases. They may be better suited for older homes where the inspector can afford to ignore nitpicky findings and avoid scaring buyers/sellers. Update: We called on 9/3/26 per the response to our review saying to do so. They identified our account and said we would receive a call back from a manager within 48 hours- we never received said call back. Moving review down to 2 stars since we found new issues that were missed in the attic. Never mentioned to us by the inspector.
