My first appointment (over TEN years ago) was with Dr. Spinelli directly when he knew I was nervous. His calming words were enough to make me come back for my first cleaning. My Dental hygienist is Crystal. Although I've seen several other Hygenist there, I prefer her as she keeps me focused so I don't get nervous. Everyone else did as well, I just felt a great connection with her. To see any bad reviews here makes me laugh! It's impossible. The staff is awesome, all of the hygienists are great, and Dr. Spinelli is by far the best dentist I've ever had. I wish I had gone to his practice years before!!!! I have referred several people to Spinelli dental (Three of which didn't "like" the dentist either) and all love the practice. My children go there as well, I decided one year (due to insurance) to send my girls to a "children's dentist" instead. Needless to say, I returned them back to Spinelli as we immediately didn't feel the trust or compassion as we did at Spinelli. My fiancé also used to hate going to the dentist. Years ago when he was in the Navy and was told he needed his wisdom teeth pulled. He was so nervous he decided volunteering to go to Afghanistan would be easier. Needless to say, I came into his life and when he told me this story I immediately talked to him about Dr. Spinelli and yup... he got his wisdom teeth out and did great! I trust them! I trust them with myself, my fiancé and especially my children. I'm very comfortable there and believe anyone else would too! I live in West Henrietta and it's an easy 20 minute ride for me! Clean and quiet waiting area and then the hygienist that will be working with you that day will come down the steps, greet you and take you to your chair. They are all friendly, skilled, and professional. The services offered are plentiful but nothing is pushed on the patients. They truly do care and just want you to be happy. After your cleaning , the doctor will come give you a look over, make sure your all set, and make some recommendations to you just like if it were his mouth or one of his family members. Wonderful experience, pleasant experience are not words used often for any kind of dentist office…read more These words fit and beyond. I needed to have an infection under my gum taken care of ASAP. My dentist called Dr. Alan Brodine of Brodine Prosthodontics. I was in the very next morning. Dr. Alan is wonderful. He explained everything, he made sure I did not feel a thing, actually in two spots I had to have infection removed. He cut open my gum and scraped out the infection so throughly I did not need any antibiotics. Dr. Alan is very kind, gentle, and reassuring. Needless to say he did a fantastic job. His entire office staff and dental staff are just as nice. They were always friendly and helpful and treated me as if they knew me for years. Not that I wish for any more mouth/teeth problems but I would go to Dr. Brodine in a heart beat. P.S. Everytime I went he gave me a new special brush called an END TUFT and told me how to order them. I called today and was told I had a missed appointment fee.. even though I called prior to missing the appointment in the first place and never received a return call. In my opinion that is bad office etiquette...especially to a returning patient.. Before any of this happened they refused to take my insurance and said I had to submit the claim when they really should be doing that for you on your behalf. I will be finding a new dentist.

This was a new patient visit so I thought Dr. Connors would be in his most friendly mode, but he basically looked around, and referred me out to a perio (which I really didn't like...ROC Perio), and was pretty unengaging personally. I'm very good about getting a cleaning every 3 months (switching between perio and general), and when I tried to schedule a cleaning with East Ave Dentistry for six months away I was told there were no available appointments. So basically this practice which did nothing on the first visit except refer me out, was telling me that in six months there were no appointments available for them to attend to my dental health. This told me this practice was either understaffed or oversubscribed, either meant it wasn't a practice whose primary focus was to be sure they could meet their patients dental health needs. I very happily found Elmwood Dental which is able to see me every three months to provide cleanings, and keeps me in-house unless I need to see a specialist, and everyone there is so friendly it's a pleasure to see them.

Everyone is sweet, they treat all patients with the same sweet kindness, which I find so refreshing in today's world. The office and patients are a diverse, group, and everyone always seems so upbeat. The vibe is also no rush. It's not overly booked, they spread appointments out properly, or they are just so laid back, they act like nothing bothers them. I have a whole series of appointments scheduled, and today I accidentally missed one. No scolding, no rescheduling, no extra charges. Just a pleasant understanding, and they let me come right in, 30 minutes late and took me right back. I was shocked. I was expecting at least a lecture haha. If you know, you know. Not that I recommend being late or no showing. But it seemed they really understood my disabilities, and work really well with me. I feel very respected and relevant. I have cognitive decline and forgetting is a harsh reality of mine. The place is spotless, they are always doing something, no one is sitting around, but no one is overly rushed or overwhelmed. My Dentist was just as sweet, patient, and understanding. Very knowledgeable and I trust them completely. Parking is super easy, and plenty of it. So far, I have had a deep scale cleaning, a crown fixed, and going back next week for a filling. Then we will start working on my gum disease. They offer a lot of services. They are also great with my toddlers, they take the time to make it easy on them which is soooo appreciated. My kids enjoy their visit enough to ask when they'll be going back lol - great service - timely (I'm always seen on time) - scheduling is a breeze - text reminders to book and to confirm upcoming appointments is super helpful.
