I had put off trying to find a new Dentist for quite some time because its tough finding one you feel comfortable going to and one you can fully trust. Dr. Vella's name was given to me by my fairy godmother (lol), and from Day 1, I felt completely taken care of and he genuinely cared about me and my mouth health. For those who get anxious or have a history of bad encounters at the Dentist I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going to see Dr. Vince Vella. He has the power to change that and give you a different, enjoyable outlook about going to the Dentist. I could not have asked for a better experience. I now have gone in on a few occasions for different procedures, each time being taken care of by different Hygienists and Dental Assistants. They effortlessly make you feel like you're in the comfort of your own home. I had a Deep Cleaning done (Scaling), which is preventative maintenance, which I have never even heard of. I hated flossing because my gums would hurt/bleed. Because of him and his very knowledgeable team, they caught the early stages of developing gum disease. I now floss & use the Waterpik I got from them, EVERYDAY! Weird to say, but because my mouth feels so good now, I look forward to my new routine of flossing haha! Now I don't have to feel guilty the next time I go in for a cleaning when they ask if I have been flossing. I can now confidently say Yes, Everyday! I can't say enough great things about my experience with this office. I look forward to the next time I have to go in because for the first time in 33 years, I feel like my dental health is improving dramatically in just a few sessions.

My first appointment (over TEN years ago) was with Dr. Spinelli directly when he knew I was nervous. His calming words were enough to make me come back for my first cleaning. My Dental hygienist is Crystal. Although I've seen several other Hygenist there, I prefer her as she keeps me focused so I don't get nervous. Everyone else did as well, I just felt a great connection with her. To see any bad reviews here makes me laugh! It's impossible. The staff is awesome, all of the hygienists are great, and Dr. Spinelli is by far the best dentist I've ever had. I wish I had gone to his practice years before!!!! I have referred several people to Spinelli dental (Three of which didn't "like" the dentist either) and all love the practice. My children go there as well, I decided one year (due to insurance) to send my girls to a "children's dentist" instead. Years ago when he was in the Navy and was told he needed his wisdom teeth pulled. He was so nervous he decided volunteering to go to Afghanistan would be easier. Needless to say, I came into his life and when he told me this story I immediately talked to him about Dr. Spinelli and yup... he got his wisdom teeth out and did great! I trust them! This was a new patient visit so I thought Dr. Connors would be in his most friendly mode, but he basically looked around, and referred me out to a perio (which I really didn't like...ROC Perio), and was pretty unengaging personally. I'm very good about getting a cleaning every 3 months (switching between perio and general), and when I tried to schedule a cleaning with East Ave Dentistry for six months away I was told there were no available appointments. So basically this practice which did nothing on the first visit except refer me out, was telling me that in six months there were no appointments available for them to attend to my dental health. This told me this practice was either understaffed or oversubscribed, either meant it wasn't a practice whose primary focus was to be sure they could meet their patients dental health needs. I very happily found Elmwood Dental which is able to see me every three months to provide cleanings, and keeps me in-house unless I need to see a specialist, and everyone there is so friendly it's a pleasure to see them.
