I want to first start by saying i had the best experience from the front desk, to the girls in the room, and especially Dr. Vella himself. Heather, Jody and Tracy made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. You can tell Dr. Vella did his homework when it comes to picking a great team of girls. He obviously takes great care of them, you can tell from the atmosphere, the smiles and great attitudes. I went to Dr. Vella because i needed my teeth all pulled out. My consult went great and i was very excited.When it came to the night before my appt. i couldn't sleep,i was feeling anxious,scared and overwhelmed. That morning when i signed in i asked one of the girls if i could talk to Dr. Vella privately. He did not think twice, he came out and went over everything again and reassured me everything would work out. Dr. Vella is very soft spoken and has a great.....no a fantastic bedside manner. He is very aware of how you are doing and makes a conscience effort to ask how you are feeling throughout your procedure. That night he called me personally and went over all of my questioned with me, once again putting my mind at ease. My temporary denture looks identical to my real teeth, but i still have a long way to go because i am getting implants. I can only imagine how great they will look. Before i had my teeth pulled i felt ugly, and ashamed of what i let my smile get to. Five stars are an understatement. Dr. Vella changed my life dramatically for the better. I've had dental issues for twenty five years, have been to supposedly the best dentists in all of the different cities I've lived in but NOBODY even holds a candle to Dr.Vella. He is not only extremely intelligent in his field ( genius of a problem solver with challenging cases like mine) but his compassion is felt as soon as you sit in the chair. I always have hated going to the dentist & would rather even endure horrible pain in hopes of it getting better but now that I've found Dr. Vella and his wonderful staff, I'll call the office if I even have a simple small question about something . Speaking of his staff, he must have quite a process for who he hires because everyone there is top notch. Dr Vella and all the staff and Dr Atardi are amazing. They are the most compassionate, caring, down to earth dental practice in Rochester NY. The work they perform on teeth is always the best work ever. Dr Vella is amazing perfectionist when it comes to his patients and there teeth. My implants are beautiful never had any pain during procedure or after procedure. My teeth are beautiful and Dr Vella will make sure they are perfect. The staff are amazing and Dr Atardi does amazing work as well. He is also a caring, compassionate his work on my teeth is 100% perfect. I will always stay with this group. They do not make you feel uncomfortable in any way no matter how bad your teeth are. They are the best in Rochester NY. All i can say is WOW......Dr. Vella is completely amazing .....Professional ....personable, treats you like a person and not just a job to get done and onto the next one *cough* aspen..... He was able to accommodate my extreme anxiety with ease and understanding. His staff is bar none the best i have seen in the medical community......Well oiled machine is the only thing that comes to mind. They are all so friendly and genuinely care, from reception to consultation to staggering my drugged self out the door. My dad, who has Alzheimer's, did not get good dental care from his previous dentist, and Dr. Vella came to the rescue. He not only got on famously with my dad, he also did wonderful work in creating a partial denture for him that fits comfortably (my dad kept taking the other partial out all the time because he said it hurt). The partial Dr. Vella made for my dad also looks like natural vs. fake teeth. He saw my dad over several visits to take exacting measurements to ensure an excellent and comfortable fit. Going to Dr Vella's office is like visiting friends. The staff is so very welcoming. First time I have met Trish. She is outstanding. So thorough and personable. I have some difficult work coming up, but I have been here before and I known how good Dr Vella is. He makes even the hard things feel easy. We love this place! Dr. Vella and his team made my 2 1/2 year old daughter feel super comfortable as she had her first real cleaning and checkup. When we walk in, we feel like family. Everyone says hello and you feel like you've known the staff for years. The night of our appt, my daughter wanted to floss and brush as soon as dinner was over. And she woke up excited to brush too! Very good visit to the dentist. Hygienist did the most through exam I've ever had. Felt she could not do a through cleaning in the time left, so we rescheduled for another time. Very helpful, pleasant and gentle. Dentist great. Decided to watch a tooth rather than rush to fill it. Office staff very efficient and pleasant. the best thing for me was the chairlift to the second floor. No struggling up the stairs with a walker. Dr Vella, Tony and Felicia, along with Dr John, saw me this morning on an emergency basis because I broke a canine tooth off the night before. Within an hour they removed the broken tooth and then the root and sent me on my way . Dr John was retiring so I was one of his last patients and Dr Vella was supposed to be on vacation, but still made time for me.
