I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with this interior decorator…read more I initially reached out regarding interior design/decorating services for a private psychology practice and waiting area in Fayetteville. We spoke by phone about meeting to discuss the project, and she later followed up asking whether I still wanted to meet. I confirmed that I did and provided the address after I asked if she wanted it so that she knows where to meet with him. After she learned that my office space is located inside a multipurpose building that also houses an active church, she abruptly told me that she was "probably not the best fit for that type of office" and canceled our planned consultation. I explained that this is a professional psychology practice operating from dedicated office space within the building and that, had she asked more detailed questions during our initial consultation, I would have gladly explained the setup beforehand. What was especially disappointing was that I had traveled from Virginia Beach to Fayetteville with the expectation of meeting with her. Instead of simply acknowledging that there had been a misunderstanding or communication issue, she responded by accusing me of the inquiry being "a prank." That accusation was completely inappropriate and, in my opinion, highly unprofessional. I was a legitimate prospective client seeking professional interior decorating services for a behavioral health practice. There was absolutely nothing deceptive or humorous about my inquiry. Professionals are certainly entitled to decide that a project is not the right fit for them. However, there is a respectful and professional way to communicate that decision. Accusing a prospective client of pulling a prank simply because the nature of the building was not what you expected is not it. Based on my experience and the way this interaction was handled, I would not recommend her services.
