FTD is a huge restaurant! So many drink options, full bar, coffee shop & store to buy their whiskey and moonshine. We went in the afternoon before the dinner rush. We enjoyed our drinks and the BBQ was good. Our server was great! Very friendly and attentive. Afterwards, we wondered the store and were pleasantly surprised they do sample tastings of their alcohol. It helped us decide what flavor of moonshine we bought. Only negative: The coffee. My husband and I love coffee but unfortunately we are strictly decaf coffee drinkers (I know I know, it's sad). The owner does not make decaf at all. We were told why and while we understand the why, it is a bummer we couldn't enjoy in the morning nor buy coffee beans to take home. read more

Visiting Branson and needed a break from the promenade options. HIGHLY recommend the hash brown casserole and the parfait. Pancakes and biscuits and gravy were good but I could have made a full meal on just the two items. Went back for drinks and a cubs game later that night and had a great time. Full Throttle is a great spot in downtown Branson that we found after a recent canoe trip. My friend had brisket and it looked really good. I went with the catfish, green beans, and house chips. The catfish was very flaky and a good sized portion for a reasonable price. We didn't have any drinks, but they have a wide variety of moonshine and a full bar. This place has a neat vibe. We went for a quick breakfast, as it's super close to the Branson Convention Center. We were greeted right away and our waiter was top notch. The menu has a wide variety to pick from; healthy to hang over food. Our portions were ample, nobody is going to leave hungry for sure. My son ordered the chicken and waffles, he said it was good. Stop the presses, he couldn't eat it all. I'm not sure I have seen that happen in 16 years. I ordered the breakfast biscuit. The biscuit was fluffy with a crisp top and bottom, the bacon was not super crunchy, but tasted good. It was good, but a little salty for me. The hash browns came in a nice serving size, tasted good, but needed to bake a little longer. My true love can be found here. The regular drip coffee was good and not too strong or weak. First- the service was stellar. It was a busy Sunday and we came hungry but had reservations for the train across the street. We told our waiter that and instead of being annoyed, he did everything within his power to get us in and out in just over an hour. The food- was soooo good. They have a variety of sauces at the table that were fun to sample and they had something for everyone! They have a gift shop area and you can buy liquor, sample liquor, buy souvenirs and their house made barbecue sauce. Pleasantly surprised! Worried it was going to be a touristy Branson spot but we were pleasantly surprised. You can smell the BBQ from outside. Great patio, friendly staff, and a fun half-restaurant/half-store setup. Brisket and beans were perfect, cornbread tasty but a bit dry. Portions are generous, drinks in mason jars are a nice touch. The Full Throttle Distillery was really a great experience. The building itself is very nice, and there is a large area for waiting up front to be seated. The food was excellent. I had the smoked turkey club and it was fantastic. The menu for kids was perfect and had all the staples. The largest complaint that I have is regarding the seating time. When we arrived, we were the only group waiting and the tables were at maybe 25% of capacity. However, we still ended up standing around for 30+ minutes waiting for someone to even walk up and talk to us or welcome us into the restaurant. There was no one at the check in desk, so we just stood there looking to try and get a waiter/waitress to come check us in. This would easily be a 5 star review if it were not for that poor initial experience. Maybe next time will be better! read more

FTD was across the street from my hotel so I chose breakfast one morning. Quick service for seating and even for food coming out in a timely manner. Waiter was super friendly and informative. I got the country breakfast and the Texan toaster. Both were pretty good and seasoned well. The white gravy actually had sausage in it and I thoroughly enjoyed it because other places do not put sausage in the gravy. Only issue I had was being seated by the roll up door and having to fight off flies the whole time. The cider boys strawberry magic cider was good. I walked in to order one meal for carry out. It wasn't particularly busy and the gal said it might be 20.... Or 30 minutes. I even tipped her up front for carryout orders because that's what I do. As it passed the 30 minute mark, the 40 minute mark .. I thought hey it's gotten a little busy and I don't want to be that customer who feels like they have to act angry all the time Anyways at the hour and ten minute mark I figured the order never went in so I nicely walked up and said hey it's been about an hour, I'm assuming the order didn't get in, that's ok just go ahead and cancel it. I got an oops, oh it's right here. I said yikes how long has it been sitting there? She's like yeah, kinda long, I'm sorry. Then hands me the bag. Needless to say it's a sandwich in toast that has tomato so besides being cold the bread is soggy from the tomato so it's a throw away for me. I'm disappointed there wasn't any effort to even offer to remake it or anything. I stayed calm the whole time but it seems being a Karen is likely what would get rewarded. The food might be good, I don't know. Hard to judge when it's been sitting out for forty minutes. The girl was a young hostess, maybe newer, maybe needs training. That being said if you do eat here and it seems like something is slow I recommend getting super pissed off and asking for a manager or something. Being a nice customer got me a bag of trash. My wife and I are regulars in Branson and we saw FTD was open, note : we have been watching it go up for a year or so of as we come down to this area every year. On the site of an old non air conditioned antique mall, this transformation has been phenomenal. The interior was nice well lit and really screamed kick ass barbecue place. We were greeted and seated immediately and sat down at a table on the far left side of the restaurant that was wobbly, and the top felt like it was gonna come off no big deal. Our server came over and asked us what we wanted for drinks. He took our order for drinks and we were we going get the smoked pimento since it was happy hour cheese, but our server said hey try the smoked cream cheese you'll like it better so we did. The cream cheese was really excellent and was served with wontons, which is a cool way to do that. A Couple side notes they've been open since January however, they seem to be out of a lot of things which included paper towels in the men's room. We made them aware of it, and nobody seemed to do anything about it. As it comes down to ordering food, my wife loves a good pork chops so she decided to order the smoked pork chop. They're out of it. She wanted a loaded baked potato. They were out of it. She ordered beans instead they came back five minutes after our order was taken and said Sorry. The beans are still on the smoker and they'll be in there for another 20 minutes. She ended up getting the smoked chicken loaded, mashed potatoes, and green beans the chicken was good and juicy and had good flavor and the green beans were excellent. For my order, I was going to get a combo plate. I wanted to get sausage and lean beef. They were out of the particular sausage I wanted so I went with the standard sausage not gonna lie. The sausage was really fantastic, but the beef was a little bit sketchy I will provide a photo shortly of my plate so I can show what I'm talking about. Again the service is fantastic. I think they're just a little bit disorganized because we asked them to put on the baseball game, but they were kind of confused as to how to get the TVs to work correctly again no big deal that was kind of a special request. I wasn't gonna be butt hurt if it didn't come on. The coleslaw was coleslaw was wasn't remarkable didn't have really any flavor. Please understand this is not a negative review. I'm just used to a particular kind of barbecue since I'm from Kansas City. There was no smoke flavor on the beef and it was mostly fat. Again the sausage was fantastic. The fries were excellent. As for the sauces, they have four kinds. I have a spicy barbecue. I have an Ozarks outlaw. I have a mustard base and they have a standard barbecue sauce. I tried all four and all four did not fail and added a little bit of actual flavor to the beef. Overall, I give it 3 1/2 stars unfortunately I can't give a half star on this app or I would, but I will probably go back and hope the next time that we are there that they have all the things in that we want available. read more

By far the best meal I had while in Branson. We went there for lunch. Server was polite and knew what to recommend. The Burnt End Rangoons were so unique and tasty. The chicken and bacon were so flavorful in the chicken sandwich. Only slight hit was the mac and cheese. The noodles were cooked perfect and the cheese sauce was good, the sauce just didn't stick to the noodles well as the cheese sauce was a bit runny. Only change I would make is thickening the sauce so it stays on the noodles. I would for sure go back next time I'm in Branson. read more

The elephant in the room is the 1-star review about the bad music. They certainly fixed that crisis and have only been playing delightful music. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are incredible. The chips were freshly made just like my favorite Mexican restaurant, Jose Peppers, in Kansas City. I took a bite of the ribs without sauce and without sauce. Both were magnificent. Great environment! Seems to be worth the stop. The coffeeshop front needs some minor adjustments to bring this to the next level. Not sure of our waitresses name because we were told Darrell would be helping us but he switched with a girl who just didn't seem to care. Didn't check on us until we were all finished. When we paid we paid cash, total was $124 and some change, she did not bring back the change of the cash she was given ?? big no no Okay so my dad asked for a receipt to see how much more to tip since she kept the change from the cash he used to pay already even though he didn't tell her to do that. Well we didn't get a receipt she passed by twice, no receipt, checking on the one other table instead. As a family of professionally trained restaurant workers it was pretty disappointing because we can overlook the small things knowing the business. After a long day at SDC we headed in to town to grab a bite to eat. My wife saw a TIKTOK about Full Throttle so we decided to give it a try. The place was popping with people. The seating is cozy to say the least. They have as many seat packed in as possible but what place doesnt. Waitress was new and was being bombarded by a large table of the older generation (typical Branson tourists this time of year). So our waitress didnt stop by as often as some of the others around us. I got the pulled pork platter with potato salad and corn on the cob. Portion of meat was outstanding. It had good seasoning and plenty of juice that it had been setting in. Decent smoke flavor. The potato salad was average mayo based potato salad and the corn on the cob had been setting in water for a long time becuase it was mushy. Wife got chicken nachos and said she wouldn't do that again. The chips are wonton and become very chewy with all the topping on it. Plenty of toppings and cheese. The chicken was dry and not really seasoned. Oldest son got BBQ Boss Burger. The burger wasn't seasoned and the single slice of brisket was mostly fat. It also didn't have the Onion straws on it but again our waitress was focused on the large group instead so he ate it as it was. Fries he said were just average nothing spectacular. Youngest son got 12 wings. 6 in Outlaw BBQ and 6 in Blackberry Moonshine BBQ. They also brought him a side of the Smoky-Sweet Thai Chili. He said the Outlaw BBQ sauce just tasted like regular BBQ sauce but the Blackberry BBQ was really good and he loved the Smoky Sweet Thai Chili. Being that the place is new we didn't put expectations to high but there is room for improvement for sure. We will let it become established and then give it a try once all the kinks are worked out. First off, this is part of a chain of Full Throttle Restaurants which is the name of a restaurant in Sturgis SD. Oh, and they serve breakfast as well. Well stocked full bar and good beer choices. Gee, I wish I could give more stars, but we did not have a good experience that evening. It was a Friday night, weekenders were in town, payday weekend and everything was crowded. This is a cute concept. I know I shouldn't use cute to describe a "biker" bar, but it's an upscale biker bar. It took about 45 minutes to seat our party of 6, but we kept ourselves occupied by visiting the gift shop and they have tastings of the distillery goods. Our waiter was Ryan. Nice, professional and knowledgeable young man. Took our drinks and appetizer order which came out is a timely manner. Got our entree orders and we waited and waited and waited. Ryan stopped by several times to apologize and make sure we were ok. Told us the kitchen was backed up. I could see that if they were shorthanded in the kitchen as it was a very busy place. I noticed that the man taking people's seating requests had migrated back to help carry food out of the kitchen to tables. One of my party members noticed that diners around us were being served before us. But we were a party of 6. Our orders didn't ask for substitutes or changes just as they come as described by the menu. Fired pickles appetizers were ok, maybe I'm just burnt out on fried pickles and should have pushed more for the smoked cheddar pimento cheese or smoked cream cheese. That's on me. I had the Southern Chick Salad with a side of honey cornbread, mixed greens, grape tomatoes, cucumber, pickled red onion, sweet corn chow chow, smoked cheddar, buttermilk chicken tenders, garlic croutons. I chose honey mustard dressing. Had it come out cold and not warm I bet it was a great salad. I couldn't tell that the onions were pickled; sweet corn chow chow was at middle, couldn't tell it was sweet but could taste the corn. I wound up eating the buttermilk chicken on the salad and leaving the salad part. Honey cornbread was about 4x3 piece, thin and served with a side of butter, maybe honey butter. The butter was so cold when I put it on my not hot cornbread it tore it so I didn't enjoy eating crumbly cornbread. My partner had the Trimble Tennessee Hot Chicken. You could play a drum beat on the hardness of the top of the bun. The chicken was so overcooked he couldn't cut it with the knife we had and broke out his large very sharp pocketknife which did cut it. Ryan, bless his heart, was frustrated for us. They wound up comping my partner's burger. The other four in my party also had problems with their dinner., temperature, texture. I'm hoping that this was just a really bad night for the restaurant, the kitchen and the staff as most of the reviews I read were 4 stars. As we were leaving my partner mentioned to possibly the manager that the kitchen staff may not like or have a problem with Ryan and that needed to be addressed. We both have worked in food service and know that if the kitchen and the waitstaff are having issues, sub-par food is leaving the kitchen for that server which causes sub-par service for the customer. We have been to The Full Throttle Distillery Smokehouse & Grill two times in the last month. The smoked meats are the best you will find in Branson. The staff and servers are friendly and attentive.
