    Shepherds Pie

I've been in Branson for four days now, and this parking lot has been full every time we drove by. We stopped on a Wednesday morning for breakfast before golf; the place was almost empty; we were seated quickly by a very friendly hostess; drinks and ordered were taken and delivered quickly; the food was very good (I cannot remember exactly what breakfast was labeled on the menu, but it consisted of bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns and toast). We decided to stop for dinner after golf and this was just as wise a choice. Although the parking lot was packed again, we discovered it was more because of other venues and not the restaurant. We were seated quickly again (at the exact same table); the host informed us they we're running short-staffed so the wait might be a little longer; but it wasn't very bad at all. The Shepherds Pie was excellent! Two good experiences in one day.

Took literally an hour. Sausage was raw. Didn't even put my girlfriends order. Definitely go somewhere else.

The food and the service were both amazing!! Everyone in our party loved their food. Chicken fried chicken and okra cooked to perfection. The blackened fish and grilled veggies along with the bacon wrapped meatloaf all GREAT. The service was amazing as well! Definitely a restaurant we will visit again.

Great atmosphere, great service, good food! The food was a bit salty for me but I still ate.

Loved this country restaurant! It's near the old Shepard of the Hills, which the still do the famous outdoor play. It's been bought out, and they added crafts, restaurant & kids petting zoo, and adventure park. What an improvement! The food was a good as Granny would have made! My husband Dennis had the Onion rings wrapped in bacon topped with queso & drizzled with barbecue sauce. Yummm! I had the BLTA with coleslaw They have refreshing Root Beer! Very elegant when you arrive, and they follow all of the covid rules. Felt very safe.

Bbq was terrible. Ribs were dry and old. No manager to address the issues. Nice inside and the show was great

Incredible food and decor. Very neat inside, glad we came. Had ice cream next door and that was good too. Ok it says my review is too short.

Stopped into Steamy Joe's Café on a Sunday morning fully prepared for a "put your name down and…read morerethink your life choices" kind of wait. Imagine our surprise when we were quoted 35-minute wait (down the road was 1.5 hours) and a family in front of us had left for their 4th breakfast spot! It turned into us being seated, ordered, and sipping drinks within that actual timeframe! Not sure if this Rare. Magical. Suspiciously efficient. What I did notice is this crew has service dialed in. It was like watching a well-rehearsed dance--servers working together, drinks magically staying full, plates appearing exactly when they should. Tables everywhere: outside, upstairs, downstairs, tucked into every possible nook it looks. If there is square footage, Steamy Joe's found a way to seat people on it. The menu covers breakfast, lunch, drinks, and pies that deserve their own fan club. We had a few special orders in our group (you know who you are), and they nailed every single one without hesitation. Yes, there was even a line just to put your name on the list --and honestly, worth it. Bonus points for the fabulous view out back, which makes the wait even easier to forgive. We will absolutely be back. Just maybe not at peak Sunday brunch time... because clearly everyone else already knows how good this place is.

The staff are students working to pay for their tuition. It is a large elegant building with plenty of room for groups, but at times there is a wait. We had the chicken fried chicken and the meatloaf entrees. Both were served with green beans and mashed potatoes. They offer complimentary bread with three types of butter. We really enjoyed the apple butter! And dessert is not to be missed. We had the apple pie, and it was delicious, and more than enough for the two of us. You can peruse the shop before or after your meal to see some of the student made products.

The dining hall is beautifully adorned with cabin-esque motif and overlooks the campus and mountains. The menu has a great variety and notes items that are made by the students (e.g. butters and cakes). Their complimentary, fresh made bread basket with three types of butters was a fantastic start to the meal. We ordered the mushroom soup, the pork belly sandwich w/ fries, and the shrimp and grits. I will say that the pork belly po' boy was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life! I almost stayed in town longer on the second day just to order it again. The pork belly was smoky, tender, and sweet and paired so well with the grain mustard, pickled onions and arugula -- superb balance of flavors. My husband also noted the shrimp and grits was some of the best he's ever had. The shrimp and pork belly in the dish were perfectly cooked and the Cajun spices were well balanced. And we have to tell you to try their fresh desserts. The brown butter chocolate cake was a special ending to the meal. This is an excellent stop and our student server provided excellent service - they're doing a great job there and is a highly recommended of ours during your stop during your visit to Branson.
