This store makes it super easy to do business. I was able to ask multiple questions, send over my…read morelogo and pay by credit card all by email. If you have a JPEG logo for example there will be a fee (which was under $50 with tax) to have Hometown convert the logo into the file type required for embroidery. When I went into the store to look at the logo once it had been digitized I was able to have changes made to it - delete words and realign other words. The staff were super helpful telling me what is common in terms of logo width and font size. If you have a logo already made they can pretty much execute any drag and resize action you could want. If you don't have a file already, while they don't design logos, they can set you up with stylized words. The staff were super patient as I picked out the colors to be used bringing me spools of thread to compare against each other and against the shirts I brought in and the digital image of my logo. I find their prices super reasonable and everyone was very friendly. It was just $12 per shirt that I wanted to have embroidered. I didn't buy the clothing there, but they had a retail floor of clothing and hats and a half ream sized catalog that you could purchase anything you could imagine from. My shirts were ready for pickup a week later and I was really happy with the quality and colors. I will certainly drop off more shirts soon and I'm thinking some hats too and maybe some of those cloth grocery bags.

At HT, it was a smooth, streamline process which delivers a quality product. Makes our decision very easy when it comes to future ideas. It's always nice to do business with people & places that are truly passionate for what they do!

Megan was incredibly helpful and patient, even though I was extremely frustrated. "Karol with a K" gave me helpful advice when I brought my machine to the shop for "open studio." Though I find the idea of crochet too intimidating to try it myself, the classes I overheard while quilting sounded like they were the sort of classes I would take if I were brave enough to try crochet. The shop also does charity work. Last year, I participated in a sew-a-thon where we made pillowcases and stuffed animals for a charity that provides beds to families who can't afford beds for their children. They have a small selection of very nice fabric and notions. Something I have not seen anywhere else is a scissor holster that one attaches to one's machine so the thread scissors don't get misplaced. I highly recommend this shop.

The designer, Cathy, was great - although the Monday promise date stretched to Wednesday, no biggie. The sole reason this 1-star rating is being assessed to your business rests squarely on the shoulders of the young woman who took care of me today when I picked up my custom order. She handed me a bag with the two t-shirts I ordered inside and stated that I could open the bag & check them out if I wanted. I told her I trusted my order was fine and then I exited the store. My husband was waiting for me at our car, so I decided to show him his new shirt. I held up his shirt and noticed a dark smudge line on the front of the shirt. My shirt had a much smaller, barely noticeable spot on it, but nonetheless, a spot. I decided to take the shirts back in and address what I thought was black ink on our bright orange shirts (other than the customization). The same woman took a look at the shirts and acknowledged the marks, but said she felt it wasn't ink - just dirt from the press. She showed the shirts to a co-worker who seconded that assessment and they both agreed that the first woman would try to eliminate the marks. After a few minutes the woman came out from the back and said that she used hand soap and water and got out most of the mark and that it was barely visible. When I pointed out that it was indeed visible, she said that all I had to do was wash the shirt and "it will probably come out. I just washed it and you can't even see it." I asked if she would be open to taking a discount on our $30 t's and I acknowledged that, yeah, it MIGHT come out but I was expecting a shirt that didn't need washing first. I compared this shift of possession to getting a new car with a flat tire and being told that you could fill the tire up at the nearest gas station. (BIG stretch, I know, but hey, that's all I had.) Then I quoted the shop's #1 rule: The customer is always right. At that point she rolled her eyes, pushed the t-shirts onto the table and said, "Fine. I can get a manager if you want." as she walked away from where we were standing. I said yes, but without the attitude please. She didn't even make it all the way around the corner to the back before she loudly complained, "THIS LADY OUT HERE WANTS A DISCOUNT..." At that point I picked up my $63 worth of custom shirts and walked out of the store. I decided that if this is what is allowed as 'customer service' it couldn't be worth my time even with a manager. I will not be back, which is a shame because I think this is a woman-owned business and I'm all about patronizing sisters in business. Good luck.

This location is easy to access with a parking lot right out front. I recommend bringing your project in on a flash drive in a number of formats in case you need to make changes. You can also upload your file in advance if it's really large. If you're working on behalf of an organization, be sure to bring your tax exempt paperwork or ask if they have it on file already. I'm sure I'll be back soon as this is a great and friendly attentive to FedEx Office and other online printing options.

The prices are a bit much but the same from store to store and I have even tried the nearby FedEx Kinkos and they have similar results - although I end up waiting longer there. Yesterday John took my package gave me a receipt and I was out in under 5 minutes. I will say often its just timing, as I was heading to the car three others were arriving with several packages.
