I found the EmbroidMe location on Sheridan Blvd on Yelp via a search for companies that did custom hats, as well as had high ratings as I didn't want to mess around with my project--especially as I was somewhat crunched for time. I can't recall now what ultimately pushed me towards using EmbroidMe, but I'm so glad I did. Working with Denise, the manager, was an absolute pleasure. She was great with communication, and wasn't afraid to offer constructive, professional advice when I asked for it during the process of designing 15 custom hats for an alumni gathering I was attending. As this was an especially important occasion--our 25th anniversary--I had to have the hats be right the first time, and completed on-time as the gathering was out-of-state, and under two weeks away. Throughout the process, Denise was in immediate contact when any design questions came up. This was especially reassuring as they actually took a hand-drawn design I had scanned over to them (detailed picture and multiple-sized words for front and back of hat) and turned it into a stencil/template for the hats, giving it a very personalized look. I couldn't believe the quality and attention to detail in recreating my sketch. Additionally, the color-matching her team was able to produce with the embroidery? Man, it was amazing! Oh, and they were completed in plenty of time, and nailed the agreed-upon price. Denise and her team just knocked it out of the park, and my alumni buddies were blown away with the finished product. I asked for help embroidering my logo and name on a couple of items. I only gave them a business card and they took it from there and did a fantastic job. Bethany was excellent in understanding what I wanted and turning it into a fantastic-looking jacket and vest. I will be going back and considering myself a repeat customer. read more

Great, with a word of caution/advice... I brought in 2 bathrobes to be monogrammed and they were returned looking great! The embroidery came out perfectly, and they folded (and ironed?) both robes. It is slightly pricey ($18 per item whether you get only one letter or a couple words), and the turnaround time is long (2 weeks) so you have to plan ahead. My biggest "gripe"/Downside: this place doesn't offer a receipt of any kind when you drop off your things. This means if they lose them, embroider them differently than you ask (different color, wording or style etc) you have no proof that the mistake was on their end rather than your own mistake of ordering the wrong thing. If the place burns on fire, gets robbed, or your things get lost by accident, you have zero proof you ever dropped anything off in the first place. This concerned me a lot and I was hesitant to drop off $150 worth of merchandise with no guarantee I'd get it back, and the customer service person's reassurance was simply "everyone loves us and we've been in business for 12 years..." Which is great, but still offers no guarantees to the customers. I found it odd for an established business not to have a carbon copy of your order, or even a copy machine to make a copy for you, and I left very hesitant, but I'm happy to say that everything went fine. I got exactly what I ordered and I got it back in a little under the 2 week time period they gave me. Also, because I expressed so much hesitation with dropping off my items, the customer service person did end up calling me after I left to offer to email me the sales order they enter into their computer system, which was nice of her and I felt went above and beyond her job, so I was impressed with that. I would suggest to the business owners that they start offering a carbon copy to customers (this protects the customer as well as the business owner from any confusion in what someone ordered as well as if something is lost), and I suggest all customers request an email copy of the sales order...just in case. read more
