After getting a quote over the phone from the La Mesa EmbroidMe location, I visited this location since it was more convenient. I assumed the price to embroider my scrubs would be comparable. However, I was quoted twice as much!! The Indian woman who worked there said her fees are higher because of her location and that I was making up the quote. Save yourself some money, i saved over $100. If you're willing to drive down to La Mesa they'll do just as good a service at a cheaper price and less of an attitude. read more

I'm on the edge of deciding whether to give EmbroidMe a two-star or three-star rating, because I have definitely "experienced better" but the ending result was actually pretty good. In short: EXPENSIVE. That's all. Oh, and there is a bus that takes you RIGHT in front of the store. Don't make the same mistake as me and have to walk 2 miles to the store hahaha. Just like the first review says, it's difficult to find, but thankfully, my gbig took me there before, so I knew where to go when I went to pick up my item. It's difficult to understand one of the workers, and I believe she might be the owner, and although the tone of her voice doesn't seem very friendly, she was patient and helpful. I wanted to get my Big letters, so I needed to get a cardigan embroidered on the front, left and right sleeves, and the bottom of the back. I didn't get the typical vertical letters, but rather opted to embroider my fraternity's letters horizontally. I brought in my own cardigan, which I purchased from American Apparel, and they were fine with that and they do have their own sweaters available to purchase. The only reason why I would not come here again is because it is very expensive. They charge from $11-15 for each embroidery and just for the embroidering, it cost me about $50, which was actually slightly more expensive than the cardigan itself, and we're talking about American Apparel cardigans...hahah. Unfortunately, this is one of the only embroidery stores that I know of at San Diego and needed to get this embroidery done quickly. I didn't mind the price at the time because I had done some odd jobs to earn extra money and really wanted to get my Big his letters soon. They did get the cardigan done exactly the way I wanted it, so if you don't mind the price, this place is good. I later met some sorority girls who got their AA cardigans done at Riverside and they paid $40 for both the letters and the embroidery, which is a great price, and I found an embroidery place near my hometown, where I got my class letters done. I don't think I will be coming to this place again anytime soon, unless it is an emergency and I don't have time to get the services done away from SD. read more

While other embroidery shop owners grumbled and balked at the lead time I gave them for a very small rush order, Anu and Dennis took on my job with "happy feet" and enthusiasm. They met and beat my deadline. Their communication was great. Their work was outstanding. The cost , even with the expected rush charge, was reasonable. The steps it takes to produce a finished embroidery job are not as easy and simple as one might expect as i have learned, but. because they are professionals, they make it look easier than it really is.
