Then claims its only to change their schedule around. Didn't even offer any refund until I insisted on a full month's refund. My cameras never caught Chris ever touching the filter cartridge (filter installed brand new in December) and today it was opened to find a ridiculous amount of build up. The filter should have been opened and cleaned every three weeks. Now having to pay another company a great deal of money to straighten out the mess. I will not sit back quiet anymore. Next step is the BBB.

They blamed pollen or a filter lid that needed replacing that they said they would replace, but they did not. Then they blamed me for the pool being green because I need to fix the filter lid that they said they would fix. These photos were all sent to me by Morris Pool Cleaning. I depended on them to keep my pool "show-ready" for house tours, but they could not keep it as it originally was in the first photo. They also broke my fence. This is the gate that they were instructed not to use, and they drove on my lawn. They also refused to refund me. Buyer Beware!

Having read the other reviews, I thought too this would be the best choice to have my sprinkler system serviced. The company is a two man show. Kevin Brasington is the owner and essentially the person doing the service. He first told me to call and leave a message on his voice mail and he would call me back later that evening to schedule me for a service appointment. Kevin never called back. I called again and he said he said he must have missed my voicemail. He then scheduled me for a week later. Kevin showed up the following week for an initial diagnosis of my system for $125. He said this would cover getting my system up and running correctly as long as there were no major problems. He identified a few broken sprinkler heads which were repaired, and a pipe that was broken in the side yard. Kevin also found some low pressure heads in the front yard. He concluded that I needed to have two valves be replaced, a solenoid, and a rotor in order fix the problems. Long story short, it was determined that neither the valve, solenoid, or rotor did ANYTHING to fix my problem. In fact, the valve he said needed to be replaced went to the broken pipe that I did not want repaired anyway. The pressure problem remained, and was determined to be a simple broken sprinkler head that he didn't even attempt to repair first. He decided to continue and charge me $340 for repairs/parts I did not even need. He and his helper left my yard a mess. He left all of my garden hoses unwound in the yard, fence gates wide open, sprinkler heads/caps all over the yard, dirt from digging and not spread out in the grass, his tool left in my garage on my work bench, and sprinklers that shot water at my windows and front of my house instead of the yard. He was in a hurry and seemed completely uninterested in making sure the job was done right. I explained to Kevin my dissatisfaction with the service, he tried to explain how this was just part of the process of troubleshooting and he has been doing this for twenty years. He said there was no way to know that I didn't need all of those parts. He was rude and condescending. He gave me a credit of $20. for just one valve. When I told him I think I deserve credit for much more, his reply was "that's all the money I have on me". He then abruptly walked away with the tool he left in my garage and mumbled under his breath. No apology, not lets make this right and make you happy, no let me mail you a check, let me give you a free service call, NOTHING! Here is an excerpt from his website about customer service: "We here at Aqua Turf Irrigation want to make sure that all of our clients/customers are HAPPY AND SATIDFIED with our work for the long haul. We offer a 5-year warranty to make sure that your irrigation system will stand the test of time and keep you happy for many years to come". There are plenty of qualified, honest, and fair sprinkler repair companies in Gainesville. Stay clear of Aqua Turf!

Since Bounds had installed the system when the home was built in 2013 (their sticker was still on the unit), I assumed they would be well-suited for the repair. I called on Tuesday, and they sent a technician who diagnosed the issue and quoted me $1,420, plus a $90 diagnostic fee, bringing the total to $1,510. While I had seen similar repairs estimated between $800-$1,800, I needed the repair done quickly and didn't have time to shop around, especially with a newborn in the house. Scheduling Issues The technician was scheduled to arrive between 3-5 PM the next day, as we had a doctor's appointment earlier that afternoon. However, I received a text just before 2 PM stating the tech was on the way--meaning no one would be home. When I called the office, they claimed the appointment had been scheduled for 1 PM and that the tech was actually running late. I still had the original voicemail confirming 3-5 PM, but despite the miscommunication, they did send another tech later in the day. The technician arrived around 4 PM and completed the repair in 40 minutes, which I appreciated. However, after researching later that night, I found the blower motor itself typically costs around $500 at retail, and likely less for a contractor. Lack of Pricing Transparency The next morning, I received an invoice--but it was not itemized. There was no breakdown of parts or labor, no part numbers, no taxes, and no indication of whether the parts used were OEM, aftermarket, or remanufactured. I had never seen an invoice so lacking in detail. When I called to request an itemized invoice, I was told that Bounds does not provide itemized invoices and that it was "not standard practice." After pressing the issue, I was eventually contacted by a manager named John, who explained that Bounds uses a third-party national company to determine pricing and that they would not disclose the cost of parts or labor. I expressed that while I understood a markup was involved (as is common in many industries), a business should still be able to break down what the customer is actually paying for. If the motor cost around $500, that would mean I was charged $920/hour for labor, assuming a one-hour minimum. When I pointed this out, John refused to provide any further breakdown and made it clear the owner would not either. Essentially, the response was: "We're not going to tell you what we paid for anything. Tough luck." Final Thoughts I have never encountered a company so unwilling to provide basic pricing transparency, and I will never use Bounds Heating & Air again.
