CONTINUED Now I agree these issues are fixable. However the next incident was just Not Acceptable. As I stated before, this was our first outing. We got our RV ready to leave the camp ground. Bob helped us get ready. After getting all hooked up. We went to the Dump Station. Bob did his first. Then we, Bob and I, hooked our RV to the dump station. As we were cleaning the black tank, poop started coming out. I told Bob, "We Did Not Poop in the RV toilet." However the poop kept coming and coming. It was Totally Disgusting and Sickening. We did the tank cleaning twice, and poop was still coming out. I was in a state of disbelief and shock as were Nancy, Bob and Diana. On our way home we called The Fun Town RV, Waller office. We explained to the person who answered the phone the situation. She said they were open and to bring the RV in to them. When we arrived at Fun Town RV. The sales lady on duty that day helped to calm our spirits. She advised us to talk with Mike the manager on duty. He said the things that went wrong could be fixed and that the black tank could be cleaned. "It's just poop." Really. I agree the things that broke could be fixed. However, to us, the poop situation was just wrong. As I stated before the poop just kept coming and coming. I also stated we did pee in the toilet but did not poop in it. What if we peed maybe just one more time. Who knows. This RV should have never left the Fun Town RV facility, let alone been sold to someone with the RV full of CRAP. We left the RV in the hands of Mike on July 13, 2025. We came in the next day July 14, 2025 and talked with Mike and went over the problems with The Service Advisor. On July 18, 2025 we had not heard from anyone on the RV to we went to the facility. We Spoke with JR. We asked for our money back on the RV. He said that Fun Towns policy does not allow refunds or buy backs. He would get back with us on the value of our RV for a trade in on another RV. We did look a a few RV's. On July 22, 2025 we had not heard from anyone yet. We called and talked with the service advisor and she said the RV is still in the shop. We informed Fun Town RV we would be out of town on July 24, 2025 through August 3, 2025 and they could reach out to us anytime. We asked at this time to speak with someone from corporate office. JR had Casey(From the San Antonio Office) to call us. Casey did call us while we were in Indiana and offered us some options. After hanging up I realized I did not request anything in writing. I called his office back the next day and left him a message asking for email confirmation in writhing of the offers. On August 3, 2025 we arrived home and had not received any confirmation. On August 6, 2025 we went to Fun Town RV and talked with JR. We inquired about getting the email. He told us that Casey had asked Mike to write something up for us. However as of August 13, 2025 we have not received anything. We found out on August 6 from the service report that the Black Tank was clogged. Wow. Even after all the poop that came out of it on our camping trip. As previously stated, "unacceptable." Trust and integrity are important to us. We have lost our trust in Fun Town RV. We feel the communications are poor. I will say the only person who really reached out to us was Cyndi Amendt. She has given us the most information and been up front with us. We put the RV up for sale at RV Station in College Station, Texas, a REPUTABLE consignment lot. When they did further inspection they found there had been a previous leak and repair at the back of the RV. The leak was apparently fixed before we bought it, however the damage had already been done. There is water damage to the front as well. We had to file an insurance claim to get it fixed. It is in the shop now awaiting parts. We have to pay the $2000.00 deductible plus we are taking a loss on the resale of the RV. We were going to just let this go until we found out about this latest issue. We have been dealing with this issue for far too long. Our CONCERN is that your company needs to take better care of their customers. We were sold a lemon. We feel this whole issue was your company's fault. read more

This place is an absolute nightmare. The worst. I purchased an RV from this place last year. I was upsold at every turn and ended up with a Crossroads Volante 270BH. The thing was a piece of junk. Poor quality throughout. The backsplash behind the range looked like it was hot glued by a third grader. I was not in my right mind when I made this purchase. I had no experience with buying an RV and trusted whatever they said. What a horrible lesson to learn the hard way. When I went to go return it, the excuses came flying. The service department had a wait list of 6 months just to do some repairs so I could get rid of it. I was taken advantage of on the financing of this thing. Cash price was 53,956.94. Dealer Fees: Dealer admin services 550.00 Dealer ADMIN 4,250.00 Premier Dealer Services 1500.00 Total other charges, 2,373.89. Financing 8.290 Percent APR with a 796 Credit Score! Total Sale Price 94,852.40! For something that is worth maybe 15k. This place is a ripoff. Do not, I repeat, do not, buy an RV from this place. Do not buy an RV from these scammers. This is our third purchase here. We have always researched and found the RV we want and then asked Fun Town to obtain it for us. They are quick to get it delivered to this location and have it inspected and ready for us when we arrive for pickup. We are pretty thorough on our own inspection before leaving with it, and these guys are great to assist with any questions or issues that we might find. read more

Stay away from their service department!!! My camper (brand new) has had a leaking shower since our very first camping trip taken 2 days after purchasing. They have tried to fix it twice by sloppily slapping silicone along the shower door frame. after servicing, the shower still leaks! When I called to make an a point for a 3rd time, I was told they wouldn't be able to get me in for 3 months because it wasn't priority (they wanted to get other warranty jobs in before the end of the year, so they could get paid for those). They then proceeded to tell me that the manager (Chris) suggests that I "buy a tube of silicone and fix it yourself." These people are no where near professionals with the knowledge needed to fix real issues. They refused to look into the cause of the issue & said they would ONLY apply silicone. Obviously silicone is not the solution needed here because it has not worked yet! I think they don't know how to fix it because their ability doesn't go much beyond using silicone, so they are just trying to pawn it off on me as the owner. Let's start with the good.. Very polite staff, no issues with the finance department taking my check, down to earth workers when it comes to attitude, --even when I wasn't happy they kept it professional-- and I made it home safely with my rig.. Bad: rig was never PDI'ed correctly, (EVEN THOUGH I TOOK THE TIME TO TEXT A DETAILED LIST OF THINGS ID BE LOOKING FOR DAYS IN ADVANCE TO MY SAMES REP.literally a cheat sheet‍) .. absolutely FILTHY inside and out on the FIRST scheduled pick up day, toilet dirty ..roof dirty..bunks dirty with spare part laying on bottom bunk..tires were shined though.. was told I could pick it up Monday or Tuesday by the manager (Buford) but I chose Wednesday just to make sure.. sales rep (Katy) called to tell me it Still wasn't done on time Wednesday morn either due to flooring install (which I knew was being done but it was suppose to be completed BEFORE Wednesday), wrong mattress in the unit and staff couldn't figure how to close Murphy bed (ended up scrambling to get a different one eventually), had to get service manager to connect and extend broken wires exposed from underneath the slide to get a light to function properly.. Mind you this is ALL stuff I had to point out to the AFTER it was supposedly already inspected for me to take home. To punctuate it all they did not give me a 30amp shore power cable for my unit until I realized it was missing and had to drive back the following day (yesterday) to pick it up. **they did offer to deliver it to me** All I can say is if this was my first rodeo with RVing I'd be turned off from it all together with this purchasing experience. I can only imagine how a newby would've felt. I see the other reviews talking about their good experience so maybe they just didn't like me ‍. I thought I was nice and respectful. Like I said earlier the staff is nice but imo they didn't show a lot of work competence or attention to detail when it came to my rig. Except for the finance department when taking $40k from me. Paid 85 k for a 5th wheel Forest Ridge Sandpiper and it's been a nightmare.One of the sofas has a big tear in the sofa and they said their seamstress will have to look at it to see when it can be repaired.Hmmmm That will be a hard NO....They need to be ordering me a new sofa or I'll be filing a lawsuit right quick.The shoddy workmanship in this 5th wheel is ridiculous.Don't buy one EVER and don't ever buy one from any Fun Town Dealer been through 2 of them now.They obviously go by the same play book..Worst decision we ever made buying from these people. read more

I wouldn't have your RV repaired at the Wharton location. I'm still waiting on their service department to contact me about my slide out that doesn't work especially they had my 5th wheel for 3 months. Funtown told me that they put a call into Forest River about the slide, still nothing. Funtown told me you can override the slide and that's true but you need two people to do that, I'm a single individual. Plus I shouldn't have to do that on a brand new 5th wheel. So I took my 5th wheel to PPL and it's funny how they were able to fix but I had to pay out of pocket for it and their customer service was AWESOME!!!!!! Its very sad how Funtown RV treat their customer. The way I was treated by Funtown took the excitement of owning a RV!!!! read more

OMG!!! I'm sooooo done with this trailer from Heartland and tired of dealing with Funtown RV!! I purchased my BRAND NEW trailer in February 2022 and used it maybe 2 weeks. The rest of the time it's been in the shop. Just got it back on Friday and Saturday evening....yup....flooded....AGAIN!!!! Water everywhere!!! There is no way this thing hasn't ruined the carpet and flooring. The AC won't cool and there is a busted hose on the inside wall panel. It's livable...if you don't need WATER TO LIVE!!!! Ugh!!! The owner of Heartland stated he would do anything to help us and call but we have never heard from him. Not by phone or email. What is the problem? Why can't we get someone to fix this dang thing and fix it right? If someone from Heartland sees this you can let the GM know i'm still waiting after several months for that phone call. read more

Due to some medical issues I have, I wasn't able to get my camper in for warranty issues until the peak of camper season. I called with 3 weeks remaining until my warranty expired and despite being overwhelmed at multiple dealerships, Colette at Fun Town in their Wharton location (aka Houston) was able to squeeze us in for a drop off. She was incredibly patient with me and all my questions. Furthermore, anytime I called, all members who took my call in their service office where incredibly accommodating and very patient with me. Considering I'm dealing with a brain injury, that is no small feat. I am so incredibly grateful for their willingness to help, explain and educate me on my camper repairs and ownership. From purchase to maintenance, I have loved every bit of my experience with Fun Town RV. I would not want to purchase from any other dealership or get services done elsewhere. Their people are so kind and understanding. Moreover, they are patient! I cannot sing their praises any higher. As a person who has delt in customer service all my life and tries to treat other people like the human beings we are, I cannot stress how grateful I am to have that reciprocated in such a stressful environment. We have nothing but good things to say about this location. A salesman name Tony helped us out from day one. He was very communicative and responsive to all my questions. He even sent me videos of the units I liked. He worked with me on pricing too. He was always kind. I have talked to many salespeople from other RV dealerships in the past few months, and they all were never as helpful as Tony. We ended having to purchase the model we wanted at another FunTown location (Giddings), but he still checked in with me there until I left the lot with RV of my dreams. FunTown RV has commented on my original negative post on this and one other website. Both times their comment expresses their regret that I had a negative experience, gives a phone number to call, and says the person responding would like to help. I called the first time and talked to Christy who said she was part of the Quality Assurance Department at FunTown RV. She asked me what happened and I relayed the details of the interaction. After taking down all the information, she said she was going to look into it and would contact me later that day to discuss her findings and possible resolutions. I never heard from her or anyone else from FunTown RV again. Seems like their responses are designed to appear concerned and lessen the blow of negative reviews but lack the follow through to be legitimate! read more

Run while you can. This dealer sold us a lemon fifth wheel. We purchased a brand new fifth wheel and two months after having it we noticed a crack by one of the slide outs. When we contacted Fun Town RV the manager didn't seemed surprised and said "let me guess. The crack is in the foward slide out by the bedroom." It's been a year of fighting with the dealer and manufacturer (Forest River) and our fifth wheel is still not fixed and now has a foot long crack. This is a structural integrity issue and no one will help. Fun Town should be ashamed of their deceptive trading and should help their customers out. We have dealt with too many different reps because the turnover is so high in their service department. Please stay away from this place. read more

The biggest issue I have with these folks is they don't know how to communicate effectively. I received an e-mail from James Bennet claiming to be the quality manager and asking if I had any issues. If so, please feel free to reach out by phone or e-mail. We had a number of questions and several issues about the unit. I got no response to my e-mail. So, we took our first trip and found a few more issues. Nothing major but not what you'd expect in a brand new unit. Second e-mail updating the list. Still no response. Copied the salesman. Still no response. Copied the finance manager, James McCavanaugh and finally got a response. James actually tried to help, but his only solution was schedule a service appointment. I replied that 75% of the items on the list were requests for information, not service items. For example, there are 2 cable ports in the utility closet. Which one do you use to connect the satellite dish to the TV? There are 2 black water tank flush ports. Which one is which? Nothing is labelled. Basic stuff. Still no answers. I finally tracked down the GM and e-mailed him, as well as sending a LinkedIN message to the owner. Got a response but it was the same "schedule a service appointment". So I talked to the service manager and asked some of the questions on the list. She had no idea. What they wanted to do was get the unit in the shop and do an exploratory. Not at all what I'd expect from an authorized dealership. We love the unit, Heartland Milestone 386BH, but I'm using a lot of my skills and an engineer to figure this stuff out on my own and by joining the Heartland RV Users Forum. So...where to begin... Our sales lady M'lis was extremely helpful with any problems that arose. Unfortunately this put her in to overtime in a big way. Perhaps a walk through of the RV we purchased could have been done on the day of purchase and not on the day of delivery two weeks after finalization of paperwork? This would have prevented us from driving 3 hours to find there were problems with it that needed resolved. Add to this that the problems that were encountered took another 3 weeks to address and there were still issues. Who sells an RV with a rusted and empty propane tank? You checked all systems you say? Yet a gas gauge that does not work on the fuel tank is acceptable? The stove that came with the RV had issues and was replaced...with a wrong stove that wasn't factory. A shower door with no handle on it. How exactly are we supposed to open the door? Yes - the issues could be attributed to the manufacturer sending the unit to the dealer in this condition. But is it too much to ask that the dealer actually sort these problems out before delivery, and in a timely manner? In my opinion this should be without question. And now on to the finance department. We have received phone calls and emails from the finance department from the lender of our trade in. They want their payoff. Who can blame them. This has happened six weeks after our signed contract. Why the delay? There really is no adequate explanation for this many issues. For those that may have had a good experience - we are indeed jealous. For anyone else looking to use these people - we advise staying far away. This was indeed the most terrible experience. read more

I purchased a new Forest River travel trailer from Funtown RV in February. I had done internet search and found Funtown prices were the most reasonable within a 500 mile radius. I was extremely pleased with Funtown service and remain very happy with Funtown and the trailer I purchased. I wanted to share this review because of the excellent service I am still enjoying from Funtown, I had an issue with registering my vehicle in California after California DMV lost my hull certificate. Kimberly at Funtown has worked tirelessly with the dmv, me and manufacturer for a replacement certificate and registration. She has been very pleasant throughout and I have no doubt she has wonderful parents and a supportive work atmosphere. Wow..what do we say except we're very disappointed in service we received. We drove 2 1/2 hours only to find out that..get this..they don't sell Pop up campers on a Monday?! What? They had the camper we wanted at the price we wanted with cash in hand only to find out that the service department must schedule their inspection and walk thru. Huh?..Is this 2016 or 1992? So needless to say we didn't make a purchase nor were they capable of accommodating..and now looking back at the reviews we're glad we didn't. We left, grabbed a bite to eat and drove straight to Ron Hoover in Katy where we should've gone in the first place. Same camper, better price, excellent service and we drove off the lot the same day. We don't recommend Fun Town..it's not fun at all. Matt L. - Your sales person Brandon knew we were coming on Monday and said we should hurry and come by and put a deposit on it because it wouldn't last long. If family is important to you and your company you might should consider hiring more service employees and rotate personnel so you can still accommodate employee needs as well as provide customer service. Service after the sale is an absolute joke. They have had my trailer for 15 weeks for minor warranty work. They rarely answer the phone and it is even more rare to get a call back. They have never taken the initiative to call with an update. They have low prices, but it is at the cost of service. Your RV will almost certainly need warranty work at some point. If you bought it from Funtown I hope you are able to do it yourself. read more

Do not buy a Wildwood X-Lite. Very poorly made! It took service 3 weeks to do minor repairs which I can kind of understand but when I picked it up they charged me $2.00 for a non working light bulb they replaced under warranty. Like other people have mentioned in these reviews, Fun Town is all about sales, not service. I would not recommend buying an RV from them. I would like to mention that Daryl in service tried to be helpful. All it takes is one light bulb to lose a customer. read more

After keeping our trailer for over 3 months (Originally quoted 4 to 6 weeks) for simple repairs and speaking with multiple people repeatedly to figure out what was taking so long, we were contacted saying our fifth wheel was FINALLY ready for pickup that the only thing that wasn't done was our awning lights because they hadn't received them yet but that was a simple fix that we could do ourselves and Fun Town and I agreed that they would just ship those to us separately. When we arrived to pick up our trailer (After renting a truck to do so which Fun Town knew about) they said that NOTHING had been done and that we may or may not be able to take it with us that day! Are you freaking kidding me?!? We calmly explained to the repair serviceman our situation and he apologized and sent someone to fix everything right away. We waited patiently for over 5 hours for our trailer to be worked on that day and were not given a walk through like we should have got. Once we got it to the RV park and set up we soon realized that absolutely nothing had been done except the one thing they told us wouldn't be!! Never, and I mean NEVER take your trailer to Fun Town for servicing and honestly I wouldn't buy from them either as our trailer's doors, windows, and a slide out were not installed correctly and leaked and broken because of it! Fun Town RV sold my husband and I a recreational vehicle that was used, "a lemon". They assured us that it was in perfect working order, but we had problems from that unit right from the start. It never worked properly and became a horrible money pit! Additionally they processed our financing through Marine One Financial. After paying on the loan for over three years, we never made headway. When we went to pay off the camper, we were told by Marine One that we were paying $7 per day in interest!! We trusted Fun Town RV with our first purchase and they completely took advantage of our vulnerability. AND this is not the only review I have seen that has Fun Town RV selling lemons! This is definitely the place to go to get any type of RV! The people there are amazing and friendly and treat you as real people, not just another client. The next time I purchase an RV, I'll go through them. I cannot say enough how amazing these people are. I drive a Jeep Commander sport edition. It's a lightweight Jeep but the biggest, stock-size wise, of the Jeeps. I was buying a travel trailer to live in since I'm chasing down teacher contracts and wanted to be mobile. I knew I had no towing package to speak of so I went to my local Dodge dealership (in Huntsville) to get the electric break controller put in. I told them what I needed (specifically used the words "electric break controller") and they ordered me the parts. Now you have to understand, I have limited interest in cars/car parts and have never had to put anything additional on my vehicles. So I was putting the utmost trust in the Dodge dealership. BIG MISTAKE. Biggest mistake I made. They charged me over $300 and all they put on was the seven-way plug. THATS IT. $300+ for a $20 part elsewhere. But, since it had to be hard-wired into the vehicle, no aftermarket shop would touch it. So I had to go through a dealership. They told me they put it in and everything was good. So I went down to pick up my trailer yesterday only to find out THERE WAS NO BREAK CONTROLLER. I was furious. Livid. I couldn't speak I was so mad. I called my dealership but the service department was closed and the sales department "didn't have access" to my information. So I was stuck. Fun Town policy is that you cannot leave with a trailer without that part. And I understand! Totally. I knew it ahead of time which is why I tried to have everything done before I went to pick up the trailer. The amazing technician Marco and service manager Bandy tried everything they could think of to get me able to leave with my trailer. The sales manager Roy was going to give me a break box controller. As in, he was going to eat the thirty-some-odd dollar cost himself. So I ran down to the local O'Reilly's and got the wiring harness and Marco took another look at my Jeep. Unfortunately, this would have to be hard-wired in as well. And any cutting of the electrical wires by anyone other than a dealership voids the warranty. So Fun Town could not install the box. Which I completely understood. I wasn't mad at Fun Town in the least. Not one single bit. But then Roy stepped up and became my hero. He offered to have my trailer delivered FOR FREE to the park I would be living in. I was blown away and absolutely overwhelmed by his generosity. This man is a true hero. He needs a raise, a bonus, an award, SOMETHING for all the effort and kindness he put into the deal with me. The same goes for the service manager Bandy, the technician Marco, the gentleman who did the walk-through Tom and my sales rep John Popp. They are all amazing guys.
