It really is amazing how well their machines do clean and dry the car. Of course, complete vacuum service and a place for trash under sun protecting canopies while you clean/vacuum the interior. The only very minor tick is that the wheels (depending on design) may not get completely cleaned by the car wash. Not a big deal as a quick touch up with the towel fixes it.

I am posting this review because I have tried unsuccessfully for two years to get my MANY issues with my travel trailer resolved with Funtown RV in Waco. They have kept my brand new unit in the shop for more than 300 days. A purchase that I thought would allow me to enjoy retirement and spend time with my wife, kids and our friends has turned into an absolute disaster. I retired from owning a small business in Waco for my entire life, and I am also a US Army veteran. My wife is disabled and this seemed like a perfect way for us to enjoy the outdoors, without her having to truly be outside. In the two years we have had our camper, it has been in the shop with Funtown for more than 300 days. My camper remains unfixed and it is basically been one crappy patch job after another from Funtown Waco, as well as their managers including Mike Wolfe. I am sharing this on all Funtown RV location review sites so that people know to beware of this company and the deceitful way they conduct business. Make no mistake, I will also supply you plenty of photos to back up every allegation I have regarding damage and repairs to my camper. Funtown has shown no desire to fix the issues, and the camper that I have is absolute garbage after all the damage done to it while being "repaired". Our camper is currently in the worst shape it has been in since we purchased it, despite having been in the Funtown shops for nearly a year. I will do my best to be specific but as brief as possible about what we encountered from purchase until now.We purchased our unit in 2018. Our sales person at Funtown RV Waco was Anthony. We looked around and found a camper that we felt was perfect for us. After deciding on the unit, Anthony informed us that the particular unit we looked at was already sold. He assured us that we could get the exact same unit for the same price, but that it would just need to be ordered. I took a photograph of the sticker of the unit we toured, which we were assured the unit we were purchasing would be equipped exactly the same as the one we looked at because we were paying the same price. Anthony ordered the unit and we took possession on Sept 21, 2018. We met our son to join him for camping just two days later on Sept 23rd. The problems immediately began. Upon setting up the camper and leveling the unit, I look underneath. One of the extra features of the unit we purchased, as indicated on the window sticker, is a sealed underbelly. When I looked under the unit, there was absolutely no sealed underbelly. This was a big deal to us being that it is extremely hot in Texas. We leveled the unit and entered to finish setting it up. When we went to extend the slide, there was a horrible noise. We immediately stopped and contacted Funtown by telephone. They told us that this was normal on a new unit and to just extend the slide to allow the lubricant to distribute. We did so and everything seemed fine-until we went leave. One of the bolts holding the dining table to the floor was not secured properly and when we moved the slide back in, it cut a large gash in our flooring. We also had several other issues on our maiden voyage including: A/C not cooling in living area. Secondary A/C unit that we added for $1,000 also not working properly. Thermostat for the living room unit was not working. Large holes under the bathroom sink which Funtown later fixed with globs of black tar (photos included). Shower door trim kept falling off causing water to leak when showering. Caulk around the front door was dripping off in huge globs (photos included).We contacted Funtown with these issues and they kept blowing us off. Finally after much arguing and me threatening to contact their corporate management they agreed to install the underbelly and fix all of the other issues. They agreed to this on 2/18/19 nearly 5 months after purchasing and when the issue was first reported. They even tried to make me pay $700 for the underbelly despite me having a picture of the window sticker from our order that showed it was added and paid for in the price. We took the unit to Funtown RV Waco where it sat for an extended time, but eventually they said the work was completed. We picked the unit up and took it to storage. I did not realize that I would need to recheck every step of their work to ensure it was completed properly, but I learned my lesson quickly.On 10/14/19 we went camping again, excited that our unit had been repaired and was ready to go! As I was setting up the camper, I look underneath-what a mess! The underbelly they installed was clearly not the right size, it was sagging down several inches in multiple places and they had tried to fill the gap between the underbelly and the camper with HUGE globs of expanding foam (photos included). I was actually going to speak to a salesman at a different dealer that is in the same area, but I was confused and ended up at Fun Town RV. When my wife, grandkids and I pulled up to the Sales Office, a pretty blonde woman was standing outside, and she began waving to us as if she knew who we were and what we were there for. We got out of the car, and the woman who greeted us warmly identified her self as Shannon and welcomed us to the business. I showed her an email message from the person I was there (thinking I was at the correct dealership) to meet and she politely and diplomatically told me of my error. She asked what we were looking for and I told her I had a trade-in of a motorcycle we were thinking of using for a trade-in for a new or lightly used RV that would be for my wife and I to travel the state of Texas and beyond. After asking what we would be pulling it with and what style of RV we were curious about, she suggested that while we were not at the dealership we thought we would be visiting, she would be happy to show us there inventory that matched the type and style of RV we were interested in. Long story short, this nice lady was the best salesperson I had ever met. She listened to my wife and I intently, made notes, and then took us out to see the ones she said were the type we had described. We settled on a lightly used Forest River Geo Pro and after examining it closely and another similar RV, we went back to the office to discuss particulars. On the way, I spied a beautiful RV that looked interesting. We made our way back to the office through the minefield of a parking lot, and inside I asked about the one that I saw that was parked in the front of the lot. She replied that it was a brand-new 2026 version of the one we had (sort of) settled on and asked If we would like to see it. Several days later, we took it home - a 2026 Forest River GEO Pro 20FK. It was exactly what we wanted and she spent a lot of time making sure we got the best deal possible on the RV and our trade-in. Shannon was very personable and professional. She took the time to answer our questions, as did the man who patiently explained how to use the new anti-sway hitch. In response to an Austin Craigslist posting, on Monday, December 21, I visited Fun Town RV in Waco to inspect a 2003 Hitchhiker II described as having a single owner and lightly used. In fact, Assistant Sales Manager Michael Hartley described the RV as an "8 out of 10" and only discounted 2 two points due to age, all else being in good repair. Mike Hartley quoted me a price of $10,803 for the RV to include tax, title, and license. We agreed that I would return the next day with full payment. The next morning, December 22, at approximately 11:50 a.m., my banker at the Austin Federal Credit Union (UFCU) phoned Fun Town Assistant Sales Manager Mike Hartley to confirm the official company name and $10,803 amount to appear on the UFCU cashier's check. Well before noon, Fun Town Assistant Sales Manager Mike Hartley knew that his offer on RV had been accepted and a valid cashier's check was made in the full amount of the purchase. All that remained was to drive from my bank in Austin to the Waco Fun Town RV dealership. North of Temple, approximately 20 miles south of the dealership, Mike Hartley contacted me to say that another offer had been made on the trailer and that I needed to make an earnest payment to secure the deal. I told him I was twenty minutes out and had a check for payment in full. He told me to hurry. A couple of minutes later he called again to say Fun Town had sold my trailer. Fun Town RV did knowingly breach our verbal agreement to sell me the Hitchhiker II RV for $10,803. Fun Town knew full well that I was in route with a cashier's check that they actually supplied the information for. An offer was made and one can only supposed accepted when the Assistant Sales Manager told my banker precisely how to make the cashier's check. I insisted on speaking with Fun Town RV General Manager Mike Kerns to resolve the matter. Mr. Kern's was dismissive, flippant, and even laughed in my face as my dismay and rage grew because Fun Town sold my trailer, a trailer they already agreed to sell me and even provided payment information to the bank hours before. My husband and I returned to Fun Town RV and were so happy to be greeted again by Shannon Hudson. She was professional, kind, and eager to help us look at the Celera motorhome -- which, unknowingly to us, had already been sold. As soon as Shannon found out, she respectfully let us know and even apologized to both the buyer and to us -- despite doing nothing wrong. The situation became uncomfortable when another salesperson, Shelly, abruptly confronted Shannon right in front of us and the other customer.We were shocked she did that and tge look on her face was as fowl as her attitude. But Shannon handled it with more class and professionalism than I would have. I mean seriously "who does that?" she was wrong as all get out to do that to Shannon. Honestly, what's the difference between that sold unit and the many others with "sold" signs that we looked at earlier? Nobody was getting mad or insecure that those may of been sold twice lol It felt like Shannon was unfairly singled out But she handled it like a pro. Our advice to Fun Town RV: sold units shouldn't be parked out front with available ones w their owners standing by. Were looking at Rvs not sold signs. You have some beautiful inventory we loved rv shopping both times. Special thanks to Shannon's manager, Derrik, for taking the time to listen and for helping make our visit just as great as Shannon did. It truly meant a lot. I purchased a 2023 Rockwood Signature from Brett Neubauer. He was a WONDERFUL sales professional to work with, made things super easy, and was thorough with the whole process. I visited neighboring lots and he was a big factor in my decision to make my purchase from Funtown rather than another dealer. My only complaint is regarding the finance manager, which is the reason for 4/5 stars. At first, he was great in getting me a couple offers but the interest rates were ungodly high. When I shared my decision to finance through my credit union rather than one of the dealer's partnered banks, communication fell through the cracks. I called the dealership multiple times to get ahold of him when documents were not sent to my CU in a timely manner and missed altogether and I could not get ahold of him and did not receive any calls back. A representative from the CU even tried to get ahold of him and couldn't. In the end, it was Brett who stepped in to provide the missing document when the finance manager failed to do so. Due to the lack of communication, mistakes, and untimeliness in the finance department, the CU couldn't get the check cut early enough to mail out and I ended up having to wait and picked up my camper 4 days later than my originally scheduled date. In conclusion, ask for Brett when you go there and pack your patience with the finance department. read more

I bought my first camper at that location years ago and got to looking on line at the reviews and just exactly who I should talk to She's not just an rv person -- she's a true sales professional. Most people can see bs from miles away, but you don't see that out of her. She's not fake nor is she going to tell you what you want to hear just for a sale. We made the three hour drive to FunTown Waco to look at a used fifth wheel. It seemed to be as advertised, but as the battery and propane had been removed, we weren't able to see if anything worked. We wanted to know if it was possible to get into the front bedroom with the slide pulled in, but there was no way to bring in the slide. Nonetheless, the real problem was when we were offered $5000 for trade in on our 2009 travel trailer and were not budging on the price on the new one. We were unable to make a deal and left upset; however, the sales manager called us the next day and was very reasonable. While we had a rocky start, I would still return to buy a trailer. They do have the best prices around. I would just recommend selling your trailer outright instead of trying to trade. We ended up purchasing a fifth wheel from the Cleburne location. You won't get the personal attention and/or service you might get elsewhere, but you'll save more than enough money to make it worth it by dealing with FunTown. read more

This place is the worse ... please people do not buy or service your RV at Waco Fun Town RV. They change managers every month. They said they are doing better every time but is the same BS with every single one of them. Owner doesn't believe in Service Department he only believe in sales because he makes most of his money.... Selling junk RV's. Personal there is horrible.... techs smell like weed. They eat inside the unit and they use the bathroom units to do their necessities. The girl sitting at the front I believe her name was Jacey Harris she is a trip One of her coworkers told me she is so crooked and she pull a knife to one if his co-workers, I believe she got kick out of a different Fun Towns for the same reason. Huge thanks to Osiel "Penguin" Benitez at Fun Town RV Waco -- hands down one of the best RV sales experiences I've ever had. The dealership itself is great, but Penguin went above and beyond. He let me tour several campers on multiple occasions, always patient and never pushy. He truly took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for -- including my son's biggest "must have": an upstairs loft. After purchase, brought camper in for minor repairs a week after looking it over. 2 months picked it up repairs not performed. Heartland products or any product having a LCI sticker do not purchase. Had the frame bend in the middle of trailer body. LCI and Heartland expressed I hit a bump in the road and would not cover the frame. WOW hope you don't plan on going very far on vacation Heartland will be a heart brake and LCI will Likely Claim Incompetency. Please if you ever purchase a Heartland Product its only worth about 65% of sticker save about 35% for repairing a poorly built trailer. By the way LCI and Heartland you are supposed to use 2 inch leaf springs with 7000lbs axles and bigger/better welded hangers. If Heartland and LCI knew trailers then they wouldn't under build frames and suspension. The problem is frames and suspension does not bend in the middle because of a bump in the road. read more

if anybody is looking to buy an. rv new or used go to Fun Town RV in Waco,Texas. You need to ask for Shannon Hudson she is an absolute doll and she won't tell u what you should buy. She lets you talk and she listens ! Nobody wants to be rushed and she doesn't make you feel that way. she has the patience of a deer hunter and it's rare to find a sale woman that truly cares. We highly recommend Fun Town RV in Waco. This is our second fifth wheel bought here, with great experience both times and in the interim. They have great selection, service, and prices. We also had the same awesome salesperson, Damian Kenyon, who is very professional, knowledgeable, genuine, and personable. He has stayed in contact, answered all our emails and texts, and was patient during all our visits to just look around. Just bought a new travel trailer from funtown..Randy and Edgar in the sales dept took care of all the details and made it easy...after picking it up I noticed i had a small wiring problem(manufacture issue, nothing to do with funtown)..I called up Dan and he said if i could bring it in , hed get right on it...when i got there Dan and Jose were waiting there for me and went right to work...they got the issue fixed and got me back on the road...Ive read some negative reviews here but I believe they've made some changes and are working hard to provide a great experience for there customers... my overall experience was a positive one and would definitely return there for my next RV purchase...John K read more

Great Folks in the sales, parts and service. I have purchased two 5th wheels there and everytime its been great. If you buy a camper stay in it for one or two nights in your back yard just to make sure everything works and if thats not possiable stay close to home. You need some common sinse and you may have to figure somethings out on your own, due to there are alot of differant brands and functions, you cannot expect someone in service to know everything or at the least give then time to help you and these folks will. Both acknowledged the issue but provided no timely resolution, repair plan, or clear next steps. For a high-dollar trailer built for hauling valuable equipment, that level of support is unacceptable.

When I called the service department it took 5 tries before I finally got someone to talk to. This include being disconnected 3 time and returned to the switchboard twice. She found an ad (no where on the add did it say you had to bring it in!!) for a 69.00 dollar oil change- she called Foreign Auto Clinic and booked an appointment - she was very clear that she had a coupon. She went in today, waited for 2.5 hours and when it came time to pay they charged her well over 200 dollars. She started to tear up and explained that she couldn't afford that. The man behind the counter was so rude to her that she left crying. She was crying so bad that she couldn't see and wrecked her car. She called me sobbing after she wrecked, big ugly crying!! I've never heard her cry like that. I didn't even know what had happened until I got all the way to her from Lorena. To say that I am livid is an understatement. It took everything in me not to storm over there. I am shocked at the lack of professionalism and just overall empathy. I would have even been willing to drive this ad into town, since they insisted she needed it. He even had the audacity to show her the ad in a magazine on the counter and say, "you mean this one!" (He freaking had one he could have used for her), "oh, you have to have it with you." She tried to explain that it didn't say she had to bring it and she told them when she called and booked her appointment. I called and left a message for the owner (they were rude to me too, big surprise ). I've asked that the owner reach out to me as soon as possible. But honestly, even if they give her back her money, it doesn't make this situation right. This is not okay.
