Dr Dima is generally very sweet but when I came to her with bad and persistent shoulder pain, I ask if she'd advise physical therapy, as I assumed that would be the best first step. She told me we should wait and see if medication would help. When it didn't help, I went back. She asked if I had started physical therapy and when I told her I hadn't, she smiled at me and told me (I felt with condescension) that this would ideally be where I would start with treatment. When I told her ~she was the reason I hadn't~ she pivoted. Saying "ah yes that's right" and moving on. I have been charged for appointments that I had already payed for. I have waited hours and hours for an appointment I was scheduled for. I have been asked to come in to renew prescriptions that I had not run out of refills on. I will not be returning to them.

I misjudged the weight of a crate and ouch, that hurt. I assumed it was a simple muscle strain, but I'm no physician. Dr. Weiler, however, recognized my symptoms as consistent with a more serious injury and, thanks to her and her very professional staff, I had an X-ray, an MRI and saw a specialist, all within four days of my initial visit with her. There's no way I could've achieved all these appointments on my own. It's only because of Dr. Weiler and her staff that I got in to see a specialist that very same week. UPDATE: Within 10 days of that first appointment with Dr. Weiler, I learned I'd suffered a 95-percent separation of my bicep, and had the surgery necessary to correct it. Yes. All within 10 days. If not for Dr. Weiler, the injury I mistook for a simple strain could've very easily become so severe that even surgery wouldn't have been an option. Besides that, the specialist to whom she referred me was among the best of the best. Another win for Dr. Weiler. She's got a lot of those.

I went on my insurance website and took down bios for about 20 doctors. From there, I vetted them by specialty, location and reviews.I wanted someone personable, who I could relate to, and most importantly- someone smart who knew what they were talking about. I found everything and more in Dr. Daniel. Dr. Daniel is not only smart but she's fantastic at explaining the chemical processes going on in your body. She teaches for Swedish Covenant so she's well versed in all the common questions (that her residents have). She also believes firmly in the osteopathic approach to medicine. That pretty much means she believes in the "whole body" approach instead of just focusing on the body as separate organs. She has an open mind and believes with going with what works. Finally she is personable and encouraging. We talked about random stuff and she made me feel so comfortable. Making an appointment was simple and the office did not feel like a typical medical office. It's located at a former office/administrative building so there is a ton of marble and wall sconces. Unlike most doctors, she takes the time to answer every question and treats every concern seriously. Over the years she genuinely gets to know you and cares about you -- almost like the small-town doctor you'd see in a movie. Not only does the law not impose that requirement you are PROHIBITED from charging QMB's- Qualified Medicare Beneficiaries- which I am.
