I didn't too much care for all the mirrors. I can almost understand why they have them everywhere, but I scared myself walking in the entrance where there is a large mirror. Before walking in the chapel is a large mirror. Inside of the chapel is a wall of mirrors. I guess you can check yourself in the entrance to make sure your clothes or hair is straight, but all of the others were a bit much for me. It may be wonderful for others, but a bit much for me.

The way he talked with us and dealt with us is worthy of applause. I had only one bad experience. I was called by Mrs Robinson, from his office, to give me information about the Death Certificates. She was not courteous in her talking and seemed frustrated as she was getting information from me. I pray that she will change and no one else has to be talked to in that way. My dad had been ill for a while, so before he passed away, we had already met with Phillip Peevey to discuss arrangements and make some decisions ahead of time. When my dad left us earlier this month, Phillip was comforting, prepared, and so helpful. He assisted us in not only choosing a casket and making cremation arrangements, but communicated on our behalf with the church where my dad would have his services held (the Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church). His familiarity with the church's preferences on funeral arrangements meant that every step of the way, Phillip had answers to the questions we asked (I am quite confident he has similar relationships with other churches as well -- he is kind and thoughtful and a pleasure to work with). He knew the priests at the church well and was able to call them himself to confirm dates and times while we were in meetings with him. The facilities at Peevey were lovely and we felt so comfortable hosting our visitation there -- our friends and family who came to pay their respects to my dad loved that we were able to display awards and recognitions of my dad's that were meaningful to all of us, and the screens in the main chapel allowed us to show a rolling slideshow of photos that we loved. At every step of the way, Phillip looked out for our family to ensure we were able to do for my dad what he had wished to be done. He was personally present at the visitation, at the church for funeral services, and accompanied my dad and my family to the cremation center after the services were concluded. Phillip was considerate, respectful, and made the difficult process as easy as we could ever have hoped. The staff at Peevey were equally respectful and a pleasure to work with. There is no other place I could have imagined helping us through the farewell process we were able to give my dad that would have offered us more dignity and kindness. Peevey Funeral and Cremation has my absolute highest recommendation, and Phillip Peevey my true respect and gratitude.

I feel like Rosewood is trying to milk or gouge me on the price of getting my brother's name carved…read moreonto his tombstone. They want to charge me $995 dollars to carve his first name and life-dates on a pre-existing headstone (my mother and father are already buried there). His funeral was arranged at another funeral home near where I live, then we made arrangements to have is body buried next to our mother/father at Rosewood. The headstone engraving fee line item from the funeral home near where we live is $200. Rosewood will not allow the other funeral home's vendor on their property. When I spoke to the manager at Rosewood they told me their policy only allows me buy that through Rosewood -- at a cost of $995. That's an insane price for that service -- I feel like I'm being taken advantage of and gouged by a self-serving policy Rosewood has. P.S. Rosewood had previously charged us $995 to add my father's first name and dates to the headstone alongside my mom's. At the time I thought that was a ridiculous price but with my mom already there and with us using them for the funeral service, they kinda had us over a barrel so I just "ate it". Now that we're adding my brother to the site an I have a competitive $200 quote from another reputable funeral home, there's not a snowball's chance I'm paying them another $995 to do that.
