They were very strict with their time frames (3pm-8pm). We asked if we could start an hour later to end an hour later and they said no. They did not have a refrigerator nor a microwave so we had to figure out a way to keep our drinks cold and our food warm. We asked if we could bring a microwave of our own and they said no. The break room was very hot and I asked if the air was working and they said it was, yet they never went to adjust the settings. They would not let us be by the door to greet our family and guests. They were very rude to us and our guests. Their staff needs training on treating people with respect and dignity. We paid for their services and should have been treated better. At 7:20pm one of the staff members, I believe her name was Nuvia, which was the rudest of them all, came into the break room and informed our family and friends that they had 10 minutes to finish eating and that we needed to take everything out of the break room by 7:30pm. We were so embarrassed when she did this and had to hurry up and take out all the ice chests, food, and snacks that we had in front of everyone. Their mission statement says " We care for each family with the same respect and dignity we would have afforded our own family in time of need." This is a complete lie. I have neve felt so disrespected as I did at Vazquez funeral home. I don't usually write reviews, but I decided to post this so that I can avoid another family to feel the way that we felt. Find another funeral home, do not use them if you want to cherish your last moments with your loved ones. They act all nice before you sign the contract, but afterwards everything even their attitude changes.

Since all of our family lives up North we…read morechose Texas Direct Cremation (TDC) to cremate the body so that we could take her remains there for a memorial service, then bring her back to Texas for preservation at home. TDC took possession of the body about 4 hours after her death. Over the next week Victor was with us every step of the way. Because she died at home and we wanted cremation the Office of the Medical Examiner had to review the circumstances of her passing before issuing a permit for. Victor carefully explained the process and handled everything. We received her ashes 10 days after her death. The cost was very reasonable, exactly what they say on their website. This was very high quality service and I highly recommend TDC to anyone who believes in cremation and has suffered loss.

From the moment I walked into the building my mouth was open they left no detail unturned. They left no stone unturned and even though it was a sad occasion there was no reason to be sad. They did an amazing job. The details were on point from the presentation to the Repass dinner afterwards which was so convenient you didn't have to move your car during the entire process, we don't think about these things until we need it. But preplan burial is the best way to go. Family don't have to remember or guess what your wishes are. Everything you planned is executed and more. Check out the picture memorial.
