Honestly, it's like talking to a child...but one who clearly uses AI to polish their grammar. The level of incompetence - with incorrect prescriptions called in and incorrect information relayed - is concerning. I hope they don't have these medical assistants completing tasks that require common sense, like relaying important test results. I know practices are trying to increase profits, especially those practices that are owned by private equity (which this place may be--IDK). But please consider your patients. Don't run a competent practice into the ground by having these assistants do what medical professionals should be doing. Employ some actual nurses to answer patient questions for god's sake, not just "medical assistants."

I have received clear, helpful guidance on weight loss, along with general well being. I've been able to get referrals for physical therapy to address some joint pain issues. They also have an in-house phlebotomist. A particularly appreciated this having had poor experiences in the past with annual blood draws. I would definitely recommend Dr. Grossmann, and her whole staff for your medical needs. The staff is polite appointments are almost always on time and run quickly and smoothly. I feel like I have plenty of time to discuss any issues or concerns without being rushed but also don't spend a lot of time waiting within the appointment to speak to anybody.

They leave the phone off the hook so that no one can get through, I was on hold for 3+ hours until my phone died. Forget it if you have a UTI, first urine test no cultures were ordered, 2nd test I was prescribed 5 days of antibiotics for 3 different things that showed up, now they want a 3rd test in as many weeks. As much as I like the doctor himself I am not going to deal with office staff like this. I hope to hear his office staff is fired and I will go back at that point. It really is a shame because he is a good doctor and I enjoyed going to him. I am not sure who needs this info, but I was floored to find out just how egregious the care from this PA was. First UTI lab cultures, on average, per the CDC, give a false negative 33% of the time. Next a new culture should not be ordered for at a minimum of 3 days after the last dose of antibiotics and 7 days is the standard minimum recommendation. In other words any clinician ordering labs directly after a course of antibiotics is gas lighting every single person into believing they have some other issue, primarily pelvic floor issues and they recommend bathroom training schedules for pelvic floor issues, so hold your urine despite being told to drink absurd amounts of water so you are very actively making the situation worse and then clinicians wonder why there are resistant strains. "Healthcare professionals" are prescribing low doses that strengthen the resistance and then further increasing the resistance through gas lighting people to hold their pee for hours, I dumfounded beyond belief, just goes to show that you absolutely must do your own research. Is this some sort of bizarre and sick experiment on American women? I also have zero doubt that if this were primarily a male issue that this would not be going on.

Over the years my conditions have flummoxed and bamboozled many specialists before nailing down answers and therapies. Throughout the ups and downs, Dr. Lewis has been a rock solid, effective, thoughtful, and calm partner in my search for answers. He communicates well with me as well as the other doctors and medical specialists that hammer away at my fairly dilapidated body. Dr. Lewis is like an anchor in the storm of craziness that is my health history. As is probably obvious, I like that guy and highly recommend him.

Either incompetent or lazy…read more I scheduled an appointment with Amy Siegel to go over some blood work that I had taken because I felt perpetually exhausted. No amount of sleep helped or caffeine made me feel alert or awake. My appointment with Amy was to go over the results of my blood exam, specifically my testosterone levels. I was in my early 30s at this time and I scored about 400 on my testosterone, which is borderline medically low. When I asked Amy if there was anything that can be done she quickly said "no, there's nothing you can do and nothing I can do to help you" When I asked if there were any changes in my life style that I can change that may help bring up my testosterone level? I asked could changes in my diet or sleep help? she quickly and abruptly said "no." And told me to go to a men's clinic. The more I learned about how your body creates testosterone helped me understand that everything she said was either a lie or untrue. Testosterone can directly be impacted by getting restful sleep and your diet absolutely plays a strong part in the creation of testosterone. Amy either did not care or did not know about how to help me, not only that, she seemed rude, unsympathetic, and my interaction with her was the last one I ever had or ever will have with Austin regional clinic. I took her advice and made Total Men's my PCP and washed my hands of terrible doctors like her. She is exactly the kind of person that AI needs to put out of a job. It was finally the last straw for me. The wait time to see a doctor is usually pretty lengthy, if you want to see one of the MDs. But what really disappoints me is how poorly managed the office staff are. They are unfriendly, rude, unorganized, and completely uneducated about the field they are working in. Getting a referral is like pulling teeth, it takes forever and no one calls back. I ran into this problem 4 years ago, and here I am again in a similar situation. It is extremely disappointing they don't get referrals in, in a timely manner. I came to see one of their new NPs. or PAs. I came in on August 3rd for a referral. I was assured the referral would take a couple days but that it would be fine if I made my specialist appointment a week after coming in for the referral. Well, a month later I get a pretty high bill from the specialist office because my referral wasn't sent in until 20-25 days after my initial visit to this office. I am now being billed hundreds of dollars for both visits because I went twice without a referral, which was then billed as out of network. I am now tasked with appealing to my insurance due to this PCP office's inadequacy at running their office.
