The site says 7pm so we got back to our hotel and immediately drove to this place. It was around 6pm when we got there and the sign says food was sold out. We were heart broken and hungry. We sat in the car searching for another food spot when a man walked up to us (we thought it's the last customer coming out with to go food). We asked him if it's truly sold out, he said yes and handed us his food. We tried to turning him down, we didn't want to take his food. He was very insistent and then finally came out as the owner of the restaurant. He said, here have the food, we offered to pay but he couldn't take payments since his system has been closed. He even walked back inside the restaurant and gave us rice to go. We didn't get to see and taste all of their food, but the chicken adobo, humba, lumpia, pork sausage and monggo that he gave was delicious!! We went back to the hotel and gobbled the food. Now I know why the food was delicious, because the owner has a big heart. It reflects on the food that he serves. He definitely gained new loyal customer with his welcoming attitude. He didn't have to give us food, he could've just simply told us to come back the next day, but he didn't. Filipino hospitality was on full display through the owner. I will come back again to this restaurant whenever I visit St. Pete. Thank you so much for your kindness. I hope that karma blesses you back 10x more, you deserve high ratings for the food and your kindness.

The gentleman behind the counter was very nice, and explained all the different sides to us. The Pancit Bihon, pork adobo, beef stew, bitter melon, and two other pork dishes were all delicious, but our favorite for both of us was the beef stew... We did not arrive till after 1:30 so the Lechong Kawali, was gone, it goes fast because it is so delicious I was told so you have to get there by around 12:30, or you can order some by phone and they will put a portion away for you to pick up... I love bitter melon, which is definitely an acquired taste, I was very happy to find it served here... We will definitely be coming back to have some of that Lechong Kawali, and some lumpia...

The dessert drink was absolutely delicious. I waited for the shaved ice to melt a little bit so I can drink some of it and all the little fruits in there and the beans were absolutely so fresh and I really love the Ube in there. I'm one of those type of people that like to custom my drinks and food so next time I would probably omit some of the fruits in there and either add extra Ube or extra ice cream or something like that if they allow it. The service was exceptional. The folks behind the counter were absolutely super sweet. I know they're Filipino, but I literally felt like I was in Hawaii. The service was so incredible. I felt like I was in paradise.

Like most other Filipino restaurants/cafe, there is a behind-the-counter, glass protected buffet at the forefront of the restaurant. From here, you can make your selections as you build your combination platter. The Filipiniana also offers a small section of baked goods and desert, while specializing in drinks such as Halo Halo and other Asian-curated beverages. Interesting to note that the Filipiniana offers catering in the kamayan style (simply put, a spread of various dishes over banana leaves to be shared by multiple people amd eaten with hands). However, they don't serve this in house/at the location - you will have to give advance notice (like with other caterers) to have this prepared. The Filipiniana is definitely a good spot to satiate your curiousity, explore, and discover Filipino cuisine!

It has been at least 3+ years since I last ate at Kabayan Grill in Kissimmee, FL. However, nothing…read morehas changed. The abundance and flavors of the food is tremendous and delicious. My wife and I got together with her cousins and aunt for a nice meal and Kabayan proved to be worthy. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was plentiful and tasted great. The new environment was modern and clean. Yes, the place can be small and, for some dishes, you may have to wait at least 30 minutes because everything is cooked fresh. I became so full because I ate too fast and I tried everything from the BBQ Pork skewers to the Crispy Pata. The Bicol Express was tangy and tender. Yes, this is Filipino food at its' best and it is right here in Kissimmee near Orlando, FL. You have to try it out for authentic Filipino cuisine!

It has great potential, but it's definitely not a 4+ star experience yet. The gulaman was bland,…read moreand we had to ask for extra syrup just to make it taste like gulaman. The food did come out quickly after ordering, which was nice. The sinigang seemed to be the only dish made fresh to order, the vegetables still had texture, and the soup was perfectly sour, just the way we like it. The palabok was just okay; the sauce needed more flavor, and the noodles could have been cooked a little longer. The garlic rice would have been much better if it had been freshly made, especially since it's quick to prepare and we were the only ones dining in. Overall, the execution and flavor felt like a missed opportunity. Still, I think this place has great potential if they refine their dishes a bit more.
