One of my friends brought me this for lunch at work one day so it had traveled a bit. It reheated so well and everything she got me was delicious! It was this chicken and rice with veggies and then she got me some lumpia? With a Ube cake with a dulce de leche topping that was hands down worth the 5 stars by itself. Having never been inside I can't say what the ambiance is like but I will be going in person

We visit the St. Pete area once a year. Last year we were so lucky to discover Abuhan... we've been talking about it since, and here we are again enjoying the most amazing dishes! This family-run Filipino restaurant features an ever-changing variety of authentic choices. Tonight we had Dinuguan, Ginataang Langka, Beef Stew, mung beans, lumpia and ginger chicken soup. The family/owners are so friendly... happy to make suggestions and give details. They have plenty of tables, there are two nice areas to sit and enjoy your meal, or you can easily take your meal to go. The servings are ample and it's easy to order a bit too much with the incredible choices, so probably plan to have enough for another meal at home! I and my wife are so glad that they weathered last years storms... Abuhan in a real treasure.

I was excited to get Filipino food since I last had Inihaw Filipino Barbecue in Bethlehem, PA, a few years ago. We arrived at 4:58 p.m., and they closed at 7 p.m., and we were greeted with a sign that read, "Sorry but we re all SOLD OUT Sorry for the inconvenience." Okay, sold out of what? We went ahead and went inside. She told us, "I have some fish left. Come back tomorrow." The owners of Abuhan should call the owner of Inihaw for tips on running a restaurant. Better yet, for the hours, put 11 a.m. until we re all SOLD OUT. Besides, to run out of food with two hours remaining is a poor way to run a business. We weren't the only customers that left disappointed. So, only one star for Abuhan!

Been consistently dining in at Abuhan since we moved to Florida. We love their fried fish, lumpia, adobo and other dishes. Portions are always generous and friendly staff & owners.

Sometimes you just find a place. When we entered the amazing smells reminded me I was hungry. We were greeted warmly by one of the owners and he told us about the dishes. He also told us he changes the items throughout the week, so you know you can always find something new and delicious. He let me sample the pork belly and a flavorful stew . The meat was so tender and had a slightly sweet yet balanced carmelization on it. I ordered some of both to take home with me. If you like Filipino food or you just want to try something new, swing by this great little lunch stop, you'll be happy you had a great meal.

*they give more portions than what's pictured. I got super excited and hungry that I forgot to take a pic!* Just moved to FL and I was craving Filipino food! My fiancé and I came across this family owned Filipino restaurant and it did not disappoint!! The owners are the only ones who runs the business, they are super sweet and nice. If you are looking to send boxes in the Philippines, they do that here as well! The food is so good! I got pancit, rice, monggo beans, and dinuguan! I got so excited that I literally forgot to take a picture of my food until it was almost done. My fiancé loved it as well. Their pancit was not dry, perfect amount of black pepper, salt, veggies, and tiny pieces of pork. Their dinuguan was sooo good: it had good amount of meat, no fats, it had perfect amount of vinegar. Probably me and my fiancé's fave one from here so far. And the monggo beans is vegetarian, no meats or shrimp/seafood added. It was so good that even my Albanian mother in law loved it! Their leche flan (a dessert) was also delicious! It was nice, smooth, silky, and most importantly it was not too sweet!! I definitely need to come back here again and try their different dishes! *they give more portions than what's pictured. I got super excited and hungry that I forgot to take a pic!*

We went during their soft opening hours. I was excited to try this place out at there isn't really any Filipino restaurants in this area of Pinellas county. This is a "Turo-Turo" style restaurant Turo means point since you point at what you want to order. We got 2 combo meals that comes with 2 ulam (main entree) and rice as well as lumpiang Shanghai. The Ilan we got was Bicol express, dinuguan and chicken halang-halang. The bicol express was probably the best tasting one. The dinuguan was a little watery and bland while the halang-halang was super salty! The lumpia (since it was sitting on the tray) was barely warm and very little filling. It wasn't bad but it wasn't that good either. I hope they get better as they get in the groove. Maybe we'll try them again eventually but for now, Mata's and Filipiniana Cafe is still a Tastier option.

    humba, pancit, dinuguan. all guuuud!

OMG this place is a gem! the food was epic. Friend took me here for lunch, I wanted to stay for dinner. Woman behind the counter was the sweetest, and patient, and had such a pride for her culture sharing via food, she made me feel warm, ...and then hungry. We had: Lumpia. Just the right amount of crisp, not hella greasy, great size. I could eat a whole plate of those. Pancit. great texture, lots of meat and veggies in it, and the flavor was awesome. Dinuguan. Ingredients don't sound great, I know, but it tastes amazing. Like the 'good meat' at the bottom a long stewing big ass pot that you'd rush to make rice for. get it. Sinigang Na Baboy. she gave a lil cup of this to sample, and after trying it I wanted to hug her. It tasted great; tangy yet comforting and spicy. Good for a rainy night, or a welcome home treat. Humba. Epp-pic! sweet yet a touch spicy, slooooow braised pork you can eat with a spoon. Tasted like it cooked for 4 glorious days and enjoyed every minute in that heat. Everything tasted fresh and wonderful. If I lived there, I'd go every week.

You can't really hear the wind noise either these were high tech sun windscreens. We have the Shishido peppers and they were absolutely delicious. Definitely a must get when you order anything at this place. My better half got the corn and it was OK. I wouldn't order that again. He also got a number of different drinks that I also would never order here, including the passion martini. I would just stick to the usual original drinks such as the bloody Mary, daiquiris. We both like this strawberry basil Collins drink. That was the highlight of the night that my better half and I both agree since we don't agree on much when it comes to food and drinks lol. I wish the drinks would have garnish in them such as mint leaves, slices of oranges, etc. They have french fries here that are thin, just like McDonald's fries and they're absolutely delicious. I will get these every time when I come here. I can't wait until it gets warmer out, and I would come here for a late lunch and just soak in the view

I found the restaurant while I was still deciding on what hotel we were going to stay at and then just so happened to choose the Wyndham Grand (which was also amazing but that's a different story). I was very pleasantly surprised to see them hand us a discount card at check in which got us 10% off on our meal here - even better! I booked us an outdoor table at 5 pm hoping we'd have a perfect view of the sunset. And, well, the attached pictures speak for themselves! It was really gorgeous, beautiful atmosphere and our waiter was great. The meal started with some complimentary edamame which is always a plus. My girlfriend ordered the scallops which were so good, as well as an order of sashimi which is not my personal preference but she was visibly in heaven. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and two kamikaze rolls which were specifically recommended by our waiter (although to be honest I would've ordered it anyway - shrimp tempura and spicy lobster, it doesn't get better than that). No exaggeration, it was the best sushi roll I've ever had. If I go back, I'm just going to order three of them and call it a night. Long story short, I was optimistic about this place but didn't really know what to expect, and it managed to exceed all expectations. Very glad I chose this for our anniversary dinner, thanks for making it so special Ocean Hai!
