    Dinuguan and rice

Great Filipino store with great homemade Filipino food! As soon as you enter the store you get blasted by some delicious smells. I got the dinuguan and rice. Tasted amazing. The meat was extremely tender, literally melts in your mouth. Mixed the two together for the best combination of flavor. The staff at the store are super nice too. Friendly customer service, guy working there is full of smiles. The ambiance was calm. The store also has many Filipino items you can purchase. You'll find almost everything you need to make your traditional Filipino meals or feast. They have canned products, dry food, refrigerated food and frozen food available. You can also get boxes you can fill up with your favorite items to send to your families or friends back in the Philippines! Honestly if you're not Filipino and you want great Filipino food, or if you've moved from California and you're craving Filipino food come here! It will not disappoint.

Don't expect anything fancy when you come in here since it's a true hole in the wall place that serves authentic Filipino food. You walk in and you're greeted with a small market where they sell some Filipino grocery items - from snacks to frozen items to condiments and everything in between. We specifically came here for food so we headed to the back of the market to order. It's a quaint place with only 2 tables and a kitchen. We placed our order and within 15 mins, we were served with tocilog, daingsilog, lumpia Shanghai and gulaman drink. Everything we had was delicious and took me back home. It was very hot in the eatery area which is why I docked a star (but truly feels like the weather in the Philippines if you want that authentic feel).

Found this gem while on vacation and I'm so glad we did!! We stopped in looking for real traditional Filipino breakfast and it did not disappoint. You HAVE to try the Sisig, especially. Wally is the owner and is so nice! Great service and just a very homely feel. The eating space is a little small but our family of 5 fit well. Will definitely come back when we're in the area! Thanks Wally!

I took my mom and my brother when they visited last week for lunch. Ambiance is as I described before, small eating area, crowded by refrigerators and boxes. We ordered an array of food: dinuguan, lechón kawali, lumpia, fried bangus, and pinakbet. In my excitement, I forgot to take pictures, but the food came out quick, hot, and delicious as always. My mom and brother loved it. It was definitely "lutong bahay", food that is cooked in most Filipino homes. I'll always come back to this store when I'm in the area. I learned that this store has been here for twenty years and I hope they're here for twenty years more.

Awesome small business that represents the true cultural traditions from the Philippines. Love it and the owners are awesome! Please support this quaint lil spot for keeping it traditional. Very pleasant folks and very friendly. We will spread the word for sure.

Sisig and diniguan my favorites :)

We love this place!! I recommend the diniguan and sisig! Bistek is also my favorite! Can't leave without getting the lumpia! Walley and his sister make you feel right at home! This is the best Filipino food in town, they have that place next to the racquet club on fourth street, but I do not recommend it. Hate to leave bad reviews but we couldn't even finish the sisig there, very disappointing unfortunately. This place never disappoints and is very consistent with good food and friendly atmosphere! You can even catch the latest Showtime show from the Philippines while you eat! Get some Ube ice cream to take home for dessert, thank me later!

This is my second time back to the grocery store and my first review. 80% of the store is the grocery store. If you like some Pinoy cuisine ingredients, look no further. You can get it here. I am here actually for their 20% of store space. They have back alley kitchen restaurant. They do have two tables. I got the lechon and halo-halo. Unfortunately the lechon grill is not what I imagine roast pig. But is similar to Chinese crispy pork. However I like their dipping sauce. The brown sweet sauce is complimented the crispy pork. The halo-halo is definitely an item to have. They have many ingredients below with ice cream on top. Great drink for summer. Sweet and savory. I like their purple grain. It is enjoyable bite in the drink. One thing to improve is the store only one person. When you have long line in front of you might as well go to other restaurant. Because the wait is long. For my next visit, I like to try their Daing Fish fried.

Small Filipino grocery and eatery. Store has 2 big table inside a grocery. Family friendly, owner is very friendly. Food is home cooked food. The Kawali is the best crispy pork skin and soft meat. Taste is home cooked food.

If you're looking for authentic Filipino food and hospitality, Tindahang Pinoy is the perfect place to visit to feel like you're being served your favorite Filipino food right at home by your parents. They're even open every day! This place is actually a very small Filipino specialty grocery store that is covered from floor to ceiling with a vast selection of ingredients and items that are quintessential to Filipino cuisine (and Filipino snacking!). But if you take 10 steps to the back of the shop, you'll discover two small tables and thorough menu of Filipino dishes they prepare for you right then and there. The grocery clerk is also the cook so when you've decided on your meal, politely let them know and they will be happy to feed you! And best of all, no dish is over $10! So feast away. My favorites were the sinangag (garlic fried rice) and the Lechon Kawali.

Lechon Kawali was so good! Though we came when they were about to close, they still took our order.

Best Lechon Kawali around. If you miss Filipino home cooking, this is the place. While you're at it, pickup some groceries.

Nice and friendly but highly over priced. I was charged $60 for 6 items. There's a large Oriental grocery store around the corner.
