My daughter LOVES this place. It's small enough to be able to keep track of her but has a lot of activities to keep her running around for a few hours. I appreciate that they give families wrist bands for security and check them when you leave the area. There's lots of sitting areas for parents and the area for toddlers and under 10 are perfect. Only complaint is it's dusty. I haven't seen employees clean when I've been there vs other play places we've been to. read more

My kids had a fantastic time playing for a few hours on a rainy day. Admittedly the cost was quite high since we were only there for two hours, but we could've gone back for more had the kids didn't need a nap. Everything we encountered was clean and tidy. There was a slight mechanical issue with the area where you could shoot foam balls and drop them from this large basket, but other than that, there was lots for the kids to play on. So this place is fun for kids and it's nice to be able to let them run wild here. I also love that you can leave and come back. On the flip side, today we were here and a kid pooped his pants then ran around, so poop was dropped and smeared everywhere in the play structure. We notified the worker, who promptly spot-cleaned, but I am SO icked out now. Also, my whole family caught covid here a year ago. A while ago I posted a review for a similar venue in Bellevue that was, well, less than positive. I'm glad to have a chance to balance that out with a VERY positive review for this play space! My granddaughter (7) told me about having come here with her mom and wanted to go again, so I looked up the address and away we went. She played for hours and had a blast. I appreciated being able to see her easily from all four sides of the play area, and joined her in the play when she asked. The rest of the time I was able so sit at the counters that border three sides of the main structure with my knitting and beverage. I appreciated the separate spaces designated for smaller kids. The equipment was clean and in good repair. Several times I saw staff vacuuming and wiping down surfaces. Admission was $13 and comes with in-and-out privileges allowing you to leave for lunch, etc and return again at no additional charge. We had so much fun and I'll bet you will too! read more

For the amount of money I spent to reserve the party room, I did not like the little amount of time I had for my guest. Not a 5-star experience because: - there isn't too much space for parents (yes there are some seating area along the outside of the play structure, but quite narrow). And when there are people pushing strollers walking around, it gets even more crowded. - staff could have done a better job handling screaming kids... We were there for a birthday party and well, I observed ants in the party room, which was supposed to be private but alas, it was invaded by non party kiddos since we couldn't close the door. The bathrooms are...wet. Wear shoes. Every employee was literally glued to the front entrance - there were like 4 high school looking aged employees manning two registers. I didn't even get a hello by the boy that was checking us in. I was not asked if I signed a waiver - although I did online. If I hadn't, it would have been bad news bears for the business had my kiddo gotten hurt. Not a single employee was seen throughout the main area of the playscape. A decent play structure but DIRTY facility . Plus they charge for second adult even if just present and not playing. If my husband and I go with a toddler and infant we have to pay for the toddler/1 adult and second adult who is sitting and caring for the infant (no charge). The bathroom smells like pee and had old nasty soap drippings. Plus for a place geared towards children, maybe you should have a toilet seat that has a kid seat too and more step stools. read more

All of the stuff in the airsoft ball area is in disrepair. Which is unfortunate because that's our favorite part! As I climbed around with my kids, I noticed there were a few other things in disrepair as well. Just generally kind of raggedy in there, they could definitely use a refresh. And for $39 for me, my 5 year old and my baby, me thinks they should be able to afford to keep the space nicer (there are multiple locations throughout WA as well). Also, BEWARE: EVERY time we have been to a Funtastic Playtorium, we have picked up a stomach bug. Be sure to LATHER your children in sanitizer after you leave, maybe even change their clothes! It would be awesome if they mounted many many more hand sanitizers throughout the space. Both at adult height and child height!!!! read more

We booked our kid's bday here after playing one wkend. The transaction to book the room was easy. They answered all my questions. They called a few days before just to go over some items then on the day of the party the staff assigned to help us was very friendly. He let us in through the back and helped bring in our items and checked on us regularly incase we needed anything. The room was ready and clean when we arrived. There were plenty of colorful chairs, high-chairs, and tables. We did not have to clean up after which was helpful. The restrooms were clean and in working condition. This place sucks. We have given them multiple opportunities to show that they are responsible with our kids but something always happens while visiting thing place. We were there and a child got scratched by an exposed zip tie , she had a scratch on her face, another child ran out of the store while the attendant was busy on his phone. Some Indian / middle eastern guy with headgear. When going to the restroom we noticed it wasn't clean, there was a napkin with blood on it on the floor, and there was a used bandaid bear the slide. We would always go there as a couple, I would watch our things while my wife would go play with our son. We have done this numerous times, but then the Indian/middle eastern guy all of a sudden decided to charge for an extra adult. His reasoning was due to covid they had to enforce the policy. If it's for covid and they are trying to limit the people in the area then why let them enter if they pay? That doesn't make sense! It was a slow day and they were obviously trying to make money , we have always gone in as a pair with no problem. And he said it was always the policy since the beginning , well I thought it was for covid? Then he started stammering since I caught him in his lies , I demanded a refund and took my kid the the park instead. This funtorium is the worst; the others are not bad but avoid the lynnwood one. A great place for kids to burn off energy. Lots for the kiddos to explore and do, and they offer birthday parties and such.

We come here at least twice a month and drive over one hour just to come here because my kids really like playing here. Now we will dig in to the customer service, when you walk in you're never greeted and act like we are doing them a favor by us coming like we are a bother. Today we walking in and paid $30.95 for two kids and we just thought the price went up but after entering we looked at the receipt and it said weekend price and it only Wednesday so my wife went back to ask why we were charged weekend prices and was told THE MANAGER told them to do it because it's spring break. I would think you would have a sign or tell your staff to let your customers know before they enter. We been here for one hour and the two that are working have not even did a walk around to even do a safety check on what is going on in this establishment, they have kids and adults in the play area with no socks on, I don't know about you but that pretty gross. Been to this place twice, the first time my daughter got so sick ended up in the ER because of a stomach virus she caught playing there, so we were like well give it another chance, well, we're all sick all over again. This is such a great place especially on a cold, rainy day. My 2 & 4 year-old can play for hours and had plenty of activities to keep them engaged and busy including, slides, wall climbing, crawl and other climbing sections, a trampoline, and an air gun area where you can shoot foam-like balls and hit targets. There's a specific section for 35 months and younger to minimize injuries from older kids. They have rooms which can be reserved for parties or special events. There's also two neutral bathrooms catered to young kids and includes changing stations and diaper pails. Just outside of the restrooms are two drinking fountains. They don't serve food, but they give you the flexibility to bring your own food and drinks which IMO is great! You can go to the food court and bring food back if you wanted. The price is pretty reasonable and they offer Groupon for folks who would like to try it out at a discounted rate. The regular price ($12.99 for age 3 & above or $11.99 for age 3 and under) is pretty reasonable based on all the different things they offer in this facility--well worth it. The staff are usually high school and college students who greet you, open the door for you and take the time to put the color-coded wrist bands on your wrist. There's not a lot of places like this for kids this age group that has a variety of things to do in one location. As a parent, I also love that they don't let any kids out without proper security checks. A child isn't permitted to leave without the staff confirming their wristband's number with a parent's wristband number. This place is definitely worth a visit for parents who have young kids and to meet up for playdates! :) read more

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the details were clearly listed (including the requirement to pay sales tax.) We had our party mid-week after school began and it was nearly empty! The facility was cleaner than most indoor play areas and I noticed staff regularly walking around cleaning. It seems they solved their "escapee" problem by adding a gate in the entry. Staff was also very strict about checking wristbands upon exiting which I appreciated. I would recommend buying the Groupon (as its pretty pricey if you have multiple kids) and trying to go on a week day morning when it's not very crowded. read more

We went here for a birthday party a month ago. It seems like a fun place to take your older kid, but it didn't feel as safe for young toddlers to be here. Kids are very pushy here and many parents clearly don't watch their children. My daughter still had fun here and it seemed okay since she is 3. However, I would still not feel safe leaving her in there without constantly watching out to make sure she didn't get knocked down. Maybe it'll be more enjoyable when she's in grade school. Today I brought my 4 yr old here and she had a blast. We picked the unlimited play for 12.99 which is only 1 dollar more then the 2 hr play. You can come and go as you please so when little ones need a snack or even a little dinner you can come back. They require socks which we didnt have but they have them available for purchase. My daughters favorite park was at the back of the play structure its a air pressure ball laucher their were many moving parts all fun to do. It was very clean. Adult seating isnt the most comfy but the kids excitement totally makes it worth a little bit of sore bum. read more

Great indoor space to let your little one run around when the outdoor weather isn't cooperating. It gets pretty packed and crazy during the weekends but for the most part everyone (parents and adults included) weren't too pushy and supervised the little ones. The staff members are mostly teenagers, so although I've never had a problem with other patrons, I can only imagine how timid some of the workers would be if having to get involved an altercation. I REALLY like how they allow you to bring in snacks from outside (as long as it stays off the play areas), especially since they have such limited snack options to buy. And I love how there are so many different play obstacles for your kids to explore- slides, trampoline/jump area, toddler play area, etc. Plus adults/parents are free!! One down side is that although parents are encouraged to participate, their main play area is designed for the height of kids. So you can get quite the back ache from the constant bending over when following your kids through the play area. Another potential con to this place is their security of the place. They give an adult a matching bracelet as their child to check before leaving the establishment. But their entry gate is a push door with no lock. They have a staff member supervising the door but that person can also be the one checking people in. read more

This place is like an oversized McDonald's playground. Lots of room for the kids to play. Great idea but not without a lot of problems. First, My niece booked a party for 2 of her children. It was scheduled for 4 PM. 40 minutes later we were still waiting for the previous group to leave the room (who we were told showed up 2 hours late). Second, there was older kids running and pushing the smaller ones a round. Lastly, customer service seemed nonexistent. I went here for the first time today. I really liked the overall atmosphere, and my kids loved it. There was lots to play with and the cannons that shoot balls were very popular. We had a lot of fun! The only negatives that need to be changed are very important: #1 Comfort - The seating is awful. They only have these very awkward tall barstools with nowhere to set your feet so they fall asleep. There is room on the outside to fit chairs all along the wall so they should really consider making this change ASAP. All the parents looked uncomfortable. #2 Safety: There is no gate to stop kids from running out of the playtorium AND they leave the door wide open. Needless to say, this is a large concern with young children and it had me sitting towards the front near the door to try and keep tabs on my children, which I wouldn't need to do if it had a door or gate. Instead of placing your child in the cramped and chaotic hard plastic "corral" that you typically find in a mall, now you have the option to let your kid climb, swing, run, jump and engage with other kids. Located right outside JC Penny inside the mall. Cost (if I remember correctly) was $14 (about the same as Play Happy Cafe but better value in my opinion) for you and the kid. You get wrist bands for RE-ENTRY! That's right. Since there is no food/drink served there, head to the food court for a snack or lunch or leave to get some shopping done. Enter your phone number to start getting rewards. I think after 12 visits you get $10 off. Be sure to bring socks as there is a no shoe in the play area policy. Cubby's are available to store your things. There are a few large family style bathrooms available which are clean. This is a two level structure with mesh siding that is like a mini obstacle course. The floors are either padded or meshed and there are so many trails for your kid to explore. There are two large slides safe enough for toddlers+ and two separate play areas designated for kids under the age of 3. Parents can walk all the way around the enclosure to keep an eye on their kid(s) and can feel comfort in knowing that there are many exits in case you need to get your kid quickly (like a newly potty trained toddler!). In most cases the parent can navigate through the structure with the child. You'll find a small rock wall built within the structure and in the back, a court with air pressured cannons (not too powerful for safety reasons) that launch nerf balls. There is also a low bounce trampoline. This is a perfect way to spend a rainy day or to just let your kid burn off some energy. Such a smart and welcomed idea. read more

It's great, I'd say if we had to keep an eye on our children non stop then this isn't a place to go if you're not a Olympic gymnast. It's great if you can let your kid just go. Little over priced but not if your using it a whole day. Staff is excellent and if I could just feel comfortable and can let my kid run wild, I would have given it 5 stars but it's pretty clear with all the signs you're supposed to stay with your kid at all times, which is hard for me seeing as I'm 35 years older than the snot noses who can actually fit. So as long as they don't care I'm not following my kid I'll bump up the rating. Today was our first time. But very impressed, they were cleaning a lot! I love that! Saw this place because of Blippi. Lol decided to take my 2yr old here to let out some energy. They do require a waiver to be signed and i did that online which is great and convenient. Socks are also required (don't think they need to be grip). There's a couple play areas off to the side for 2yrs n under and 10yrs n under. Then in the middle is a huge jungle gym w all sorta of obstacles and slides. I'm 5'3 and constantly needed to bend over or hunch to chase my son around. Started to take a toll on my back. It's designed for kiddos, not adults I get that but just beware if you're on the tall side. Seems a little worn down, who knows they probably installed new stuff last week but kids destroy everything. I paid $14 in total for unlimited play. There's an option for 2hr play for like $1-2 cheaper. read more

Definitely a fun place for kids but it could use an update on a lot of their equipment. They also do not staff enough employees at a time. When we lived in California we would go to a place called We Play Loud. They would have about 2-3 employees at the front and 2-3 cleaning the equipment at all times. Here there are only 2 employees and they only hang around in the front. The 2 hours I was there, all I saw them do was chit chat. My 3yo played her heart out for 2 hours tonight! It was our first visit and I'm thrilled Alderwood Mall has such a great, new addition. The space was clean, plenty of seating for parents, hand sanitizer everywhere, lots of shoe cubbies, bathroom located inside, and friendly staff. They also monitor the entrance to ensure kids don't leave without their parent. They use a numbered bracelet system to ensure children leave with the right adult. I also appreciate the large age range-kids up to 10 are allowed. My older daughter can't wait to go. We will be back! read more
