Happy Horse and Dog - Our sweet dog (Darby)

We booked a last minute trip to Kanab with our kids and dog. We wanted to take the kids on a UTV…read moretour and couldn't take our dog. The owner responded in a timely manner and we were able to book a last min boarding reservation. She asked us details about our dog which made us feel comfortable leaving her there. We would definitely consider leaving our dog here again.

I cannot thank Darlene enough and I definitely recommend her for you and your pooches needs…read more I came to Orderville to hike Zion, Kanab and the general area with my little pooch. While I was hiking Zion, I left my dog back at the cabin. She got separation anxiety and I realized that I couldn't leave her by herself a second day. This tiny creature turned into a damn Tasmanian devil. Don't let her cute furry face fool you. I called Darlene around 3pm and told her I was looking for someone to board my dog overnight since I was scheduled to leave to Zion the next morning at 6am. Darlene was great. Luckily she had the room to board her on such short notice. She said she could take her and would even let her sleep with her since that is our usual practice. She asked important questions like - does she get along with other dogs? How old is she? Does she sleep alone? Now, afterwards I might have had a little separation anxiety myself giving my dog to a perfect stranger but honestly, she couldn't have been in better care. Side note: Darlene seems to be a staple in this area for dog care and training. I've heard MULTIPLE people rave about her training. If I lived closer I would absolutely send my dog to her.

For starters, in case you have it in your mind that this vet office is expensive, you clearly have…read morenever gotten a quote from any other vet for the same procedure. For context, I live a couple of states away and I still make a trip to Moab if my dogs ever need any expensive procedures such as dental cleanings. Every vet around me quoted me between $1100 to $1600 for cleanings / extractions. At this vet clinic I brought BOTH of my dogs here for dental cleanings and extractions. One had nine teeth pulled and one had seven teeth pulled. COMBINED, including pain meds to take home, I still paid almost half as much money as the bottom quote of every vet I've contacted around me. This vet clinic is the only one I am aware of that is genuinely trying to ensure your animals are able to receive care by NOT robbing you blind. There are no price regulations in the vet industry so many vets inflate their prices to absurd levels. Okay, now that is out of the way. The staff here are great. They are great at communicating information and ensuring you know how to properly care for your animals after procedures. They encourage you to call with questions if you have any. Everyone I have encountered has been friendly and polite. I feel like they love to see my pets with how they talk to them. If I can't be with my dogs, then I like knowing people who care about my pets, are taking care of them. The building is small but their hearts are big. To all of you who live in Moab, count yourselves blessed to have such a wonderful vet clinic available to you.

This is a heartbreaking review…read more I was planning on spending 2 days with my dying dog but they ended up having to put him to sleep. I called late, like 9pm last night from my cell in an RV park not too far away. They were willing to travel to me but I ended up going to the. They readily agreed to put my dog to sleep in my RV so he wasn't scared. They let me feed Cargo tons of treats and a raw steak before. She listened to his heart and confirmed it was failing again. And they let me hold him and talk to him as long as I wanted. We talked about the breed and how he was incredibly lucky to like 13 years as Weimaraner's tend to like roughly 11years. Although I don't remember the names, they were sisters and the tech gave me a big hug afterwards as I was uncontrollably sobbing. They were patient and kind and gracious to a stranger who was passing through taking her best friend on one last road trip. Although the outcome was not what I wanted, they treated us with dignity and i cannot ask for anything more
