I haven't had a chance to use their service yet. But, they answer their phones and are competent and very friendly and courteous and really work with the pet owners. Boarding a dog is stressful. It's nice to have folks that understand this and treat everybody with kindness and empathy! If I need someone to watch over my most precious soul, it's reassuring to know that there is someone out there you can trust. I had so many people recommend these folks. The reason I gave one star is there is not an option for Zero! We have boarded our dog here several times over the past 4 years, but this last time was the very last time we will ever use this facility. Our dog came back undernourished, gaunt, and with a fist sized swollen area over his rib. Turned out to be an injury caused by trauma. No responsibility was taken by Mark, an owner. He said," rough play, then a 2# gate, could be the culprit. When I said the injury may have been caused by staff, but not by any rough play or a 2# gate, he became irate. Mark could not tell me why fully half of the food was returned, stated the dog ate all meals. I measured all food, he says I mis-measured. Again, no responsibility for his loss of weight, enough to warrant three hole intake of his collar. Mark stated,"I have no problem with you telling people Gunner got hurt at my facility. But for you say my staff did it without proof is crazy. I also have very very low turnover. So you came very prepared to be dishonest and misinformed to the conversation, so I'm sorry I lost it, never attack my business again with your stupidity." So professional! I've brought my dog here a few times and i've never been impressed with the quality of the grooming salon and doggy daycare. our dog came back from a weekend of boarding with kennel cough , which they swore has never happened before which i'm not convince of. with grooming services we picked him up and he took hours longer then scheduled, and the one groomer on staff looked like hell came over her. I thanked her heavily and left a size able tip which she later informed me that her owners gave admitted to taking portions of her tips. i'm very unimpressed with the unprofessionalism that is on the business side and employment side of this establishment read more

Hitchin Post/Red Rover, Enoch, Utah....We took our elderly, long hair chihuahua to be groomed on the 22nd of Nov. 2022. We went back to pick him up and the hair behind his ears was still soaking wet and his tail hair wasn't shortened as much as I'd asked so the groomer took him back and his ears were still wet and she'd shortened the tail more. We left, when we got home I got my hair dryer out to dry his ears and noticed that the groomer didn't cut the mats behind his ears out. He was still matted. I had to finish grooming him. I also notice she cut the hair off the end of his tail. Instead of tapering she cut it off. Looks ridiculous! So, Nov. 29th, 2022 we took our 2 Staffordshire Bull terriers in for a bath and nail trim. When we went back to pick them up there were 2 dogs loose, running onto old hwy. 91 and all around the building and up and down the road. The women were trying to catch the larger lab/terrier mix, they had caught the pug. Animal control was involved. It was a 1/2 hour fiasco but they finally caught the pup. The 2 dogs were left unsupervised in the yard long enough for the lab mix to dig a hole under the fence and escape with his little pug friend. We picked up our 2 dogs and got home to see that the groomer didn't cut the nails on our female...Well crap! After 2 negative experiences I will not ever take my pets back to these people and I sure would never board my pets there. Oh, it's Dec. 2, 2022 and the owners still haven't called me so I could talk to them about it. I'm not asking for my money back, I'm not taking my dogs back, I just wanted them to know they need to keep a better eye on their staff and business... read more

We love Red Rover! The new owners are very accommodating, and they do their best to work with your schedule and boarding needs. We have a dog with special needs, and they always go out of their way to make his stay comfortable. You can tell that they definitely take pride in their business and that your patronage is appreciated. The business is always really clean, and they encourage you to go back and see where the dogs are contained. All of the dogs always look happy playing with the other dogs, and they have plenty of space to run in and outside together. My dog gets so excited when we drop him off, because he remembers how much he loves being there. While you are away, you have the ability to watch your dog on camera, which is really fun for the kids when we are away. The prices are very reasonable for the services provided. I've had mixed experiences with red rover. The first time I went the front desk person was very helpful she answered all my questions and helped me feel better about boarding (first time leaving my dogs! ). Another time all the lights were off and the worker was in a back room and it smelled like incense?? He was a little abrasive and my dog was nervous, and i know all of the employees are probably good but it still made me nervous. It's decently priced compared to boarding in some other states but I wish it was a more consistent environment (On the bright side, my kid used their bathroom and said it "smelled like orange julius" so they do keep the place clean ) read more

We are visiting fr LA and dropped off our two dogs for the day so we could ski. They open fr 7:30 - 6:00 pm and lifts are open from 10-4:30 so it was perfect. The dogs loved it. The owner is the Cesar Milan of Cedar City. My dead dog is hard to handle, but loved it there. The dogs have spacious room to play and the owners cared for my deaf dog so well. We will definitely be back again. We exhausted from skiing all day and our dogs are exhausted from playing all day. It's a win win! read more

We had an appointment to leave our dogs here for a few nights. Needless to say after touring the facility we cancelled our appointment. The dogs are left unattended most of the time which is not only dangerous but defeats the point of boarding your dog. The dogs are also left alone at night starting around 6:00 pm, so if there was an emergency, there would be no one there to attend to your pets. The owner was also very unhelpful and didn't seem to have the dogs best interest in mind. read more

The following is a review I posted of this business four months ago on another site. I am posting it here and including his response, in which he calls me an entitled, spoiled brat. I think it is important that people are aware of his attitude towards customers who don't give good reviews. One of the selling points for this kennel is the camera feed. It is important to us to be able to see our dogs are happy and well cared for if we have to board them. Their website claims you can watch your dogs on their cameras 24/7. I have boarded my dogs their twice before, once the cameras worked the other they said they gave me the wrong password and I was unable to pull up the cameras on my phone. I just boarded them these past two days. When I dropped them off I tried to test the cameras before I left but they were slow loading. The owner said the system was working and to be patient. Come to find out if you have an iPad or iPhone the cameras CANNOT BE VIEWED. The owner is aware of this but failed to mention it to me. Apparently this issue has been a problem for over 6 months. I believe if you advertise a feature you should provide that feature. I am very disappointed that I was misled. Not going to use Red Rover again if this problem is not fixed. Response from the owner an hour ago You were never misled. Access to our camera systems is for the convenience of the customer and their technology - our soldiers deployed in Afghanistan have been able to properly log in and watch their dogs. The management of our camera system is handled by the professional computer business that designed it, I know the problem was not our camera system. I'm so happy with this pet resort! Our pup spent a couple nights here while we were snowboarding in Brian Head. Reservations were quick and easy, prices were absolutely fair (almost seemed too low!), the staff was friendly and courteous and at the end of her vacation, she was ready to come home, but happy and well cared for while she was there. I have had my medium sized dog there, multiple times. No problems ever, dog is happy, well fed, and of course happy to come home. Boarded my dog at Hitch n post for 4 and a half days. My dog was so traumatized that she has reverted back to puppyhood. From house broke to urinating and defecating everywhere. She has never been hit by me, yet she now cowers if I raise my voice. The pads of my dog's feet were chemically burned raw, and she had a noticeable limp when returned. The only reason for one star is that you can't leave, "no stars"!! When I tried to talk to the girl on the phone she would not let me get a word in and just kept denying any fault and making excuses as to why it was their fault. Dropped the pups off last minute and left food for them. When I picked them up the next day at NOON they hadn't been fed and their food was still in the bag. Fed them in the parking lot and then gave them water which they drank that like they hadn't been given water for days. I had asked the attendants why they weren't fed and all I was give was that "she was alone" so I guess that's an excuse to neglect all of our dogs. Also two treat bones were gone from our dog bag with no mention whether they were given to our dogs. I don't care if you are understaffed. If you overbook and your people get overwhelmed maybe you should rethink the amount of dogs you take in or figure out the quality of work your employees are willing to put in. Not an expert but know when my dog hasn't been treated properly. read more

Having just moved to Cedar City I was referred to Hitch'n Post for our 2 dogs. It was clean and neat, there was a big yard for the dogs to run around in. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
