worst transportation company ever. agreed to price for shipping of my dog, paid them in full after they dropped off my dog. today few weeks later driver returns to say i didn't pay last invoice and tried to force me to give him more money. like wth kind of company/scam is this company running?!? all they do is lie. hence look at their response to this review... smh. if you have pending shipments with them, save the heartache, time and stress and book someone more reliable and trustworthy who doesn't lie. read more

Vada arrived alive, and if that is the ultimate goal, I suppose Fur De Lis managed. However, every other step along the way between coordinating the pick-up & final destination was extraordinarily mismanaged, sparsely communicated, ultimately dishonest and overall an absolute nightmare. When I first began searching for pet transporters and began correspondence with Genice, I decided to go with her because my pick-up and drop-off windows were limited and she assured me that they could accommodate. Further, I do not have access to cell service at the remote location where I work (my dog's final destination), but could correspond via Wi-Fi (i.e. email, Snapchat, etc.), another condition Genice said they were able to accommodate. Lastly, that my pet was to be picked up from a friend/dog-sitter. I was upfront with this information--details tied to the necessity of a clearly communicated pick-up time frame and contact in managing Vada's pick-up. Vada was supposed to be picked up Sunday and dropped off Friday of the same week--this was what was communicated to me by Genice and agreed on before I signed the transport contract and paid my $337 deposit. First red flag was that the contract was written for the incorrect person. Genice made out the billing address to be Vada's pick-up address, although, again, I had already corresponded about the situation. I had to then work with Genice to get her to re-write the contract as it was already Saturday and I was concerned an incomplete contract would mean my dog would not be picked up on the originally agreed upon next day. Not to mention that I never received a request for veterinarian vaccination documents which I did have ready for a transporter. I was also told that the only potential detour from Vada's pick-up in North Carolina and drop-off in Wyoming would be Phoenix, although much more likely Phoenix would be after Wyoming. Then, Vada's pick-up time changed three times. Her Sunday pick-up became Tues, a detail I did not find out about until I reached out to Genice Sunday evening, as my friend who was with my dog had still not been contacted. Then, the Tues became Thurs, again not communicated until Tues. Come Wed, my friend received two phone calls from two different drivers for Fur De Lis giving her contradicting information about pick-up times and days, which was particularly difficult for my friend and, presumably, most people who work full-time jobs with limited flexibility to run home to pass off a dog. When Vada was finally was picked up Wednesday afternoon, I did not receive ANY updates on my dog's route or projected drop-off within the first 24 hours, despite having emailed the driver, Jeff, twice, an email address I had to reach out myself to Genice to obtain. I then had to drive into town to use a phone to call Jeff. Then, it wasn't until well into the second day that I FINALLY got an update on Vada's route and drop-off (one that was not even directly from the driver but from the driver to Genice then Genice to me). I understand many pet transporters move multiple pets at a time and detours that are considered 'softly' en route are part of the business. However, the originally understood route and extra day or two that a Phoenix trip may add was out the window. I was informed that the route was from pick-up in North Carolina, Dallas, Houston, BACK to Dallas, Phoenix, San Diego,San Francisco,Sacramento,maybe Washington but this wasn't clear THEN WYOMING! So much for the 4-5 day delivery and nearly direct route! The expected drop-off for my dog was Thursday potentially Friday. At least NINE days after pick-up. I have an energetic and car-anxious dog and this new timeline very much violated one of my main stipulations that I discussed with Genice upon business agreement. When I called to insist they fit in another 'detour' to Colorado before Phoenix so that I could drive 17 hours to pick-up my dog to save her another five days of travel, they were 'unable' to work this in and insisted instead that the Phoenix people had 'paid more than me and they wouldn't push back their dog deliveries' because, as quoted from Genice "you get what you pay for." Because, right, $675 was pocket change. So, I was stuck waiting. When Vada finally arrived 8.5 days after pick-up and maybe only three updates/photos later, thank GOD after this total fiasco...she was constipated, had a UTI, & the Trazadone that I requested she take as she can be an anxious traveler was untouched. Further, when I still tipped the driver since I too have worked in a service industry and I understand how frustrating it is to not be tipped and he still had done the driving after all, he fanned out the money right in front of me to see what he had been tipped! Which I felt was quite rude and unprofessional. Guess the tone had been set for that anyways. So, cut and dry: was Vada transported from point A to I, maybe J? without dying, yes. But would I recommend this company for your pet? No. read more
