We needed furniture for a smaller space and the selection was huge. The best part of the experience was the customer service, and Peter (sales) in particular. He was so helpful! Communication was excellent for delivery and they were right on time. We actually went back a second time to get 2 more pieces for the bedroom and had the same excellent service and delivery. we bought a $1200 recliner for my 97 year old mother. It has heat, massaging and lumbar support. it is a necessity. this was several months ago. it has broken down TWICE. . Current status waiting for parts. this has me so upset. everytime I call I'm told there is nothing they can do. they did put in the order it was a medical necessity. I'm at the point of buying a used one. She's going into HOSPICE and I just want her comfortable. very unhappy with Furniture and Appliance in Rhinelander. we are VERY good customers too. have spent thousands on a sectional, top of the line mattress and adjustable base and several appliances. apparently a company that doesn't care. was hoping they would say we will give you credit come in and pick out another one. read more

Just visited Furniture and Appliance Mart in Rhinelander. The sales person was Brandon who was so helpful and very efficient. My sister and I were looking for something specific he went to work and found it within minutes. We knew what we wanted he found it and the sales transaction was within 15- 20 minutes. We purchased a recliner from Ashley furniture in Appleton, WI. and decided to as well purchase the extended warranty. The motor on the chair failed in July of 2023. We started the process of getting the chair fixed in July. Today Dec. 8, 2023 the tech has made the third visit to our home and I still do not have a working recliner, between delays on orders and the wrong parts arriving nothing has been fixed. To say this is frustrating is an understatement. This is one of the worst customer service experiences we have been through. I would definitely say do not buy the service contract from them if you actually expect service. read more

I purchased a massager/reclining loveseat from this facility. Multiple things became wrong with it. It took over a month to get a repair person to look at it. They needed to order parts to repair it. They apparently FORGOT to then file the report, much less order the parts. When I checked into it 3 weeks later. They then had to track down the service tech to see what was going on. They never called back. More it will be another 12-16 WEEKS for the part. So a total of 20-24 weeks without being able to use our couch as he dismantled it. Never buy furniture from here! read more

This was an excellent experience from start to finish. We were looking for a new accent chair and had just begun our search. Jodi provided very useful information without being pushy. She helped me pick fabric with extremely useful tips. Our chair was ready early! A delivery was scheduled and a link was given so that we could track their progress on their way to our home. The three delivery people arrived early! They were friendly and courteous and carried the chair to its final resting place. I recently purchased a mattress and mattress foundation. Day of delivery incompetent delivery people couldn't figure how to get this up the stairs so it got sent back. We have seen this furniture store many times and have never stopped, as was the day before when we were tired and passed it by. Next day we decided to go back and this time we stopped. After looking at furniture at 3 different stores within 100 mile radius, this is the one to go to! They have quality, beautiful furniture here. I could have spent all day. They have all price ranges that will suit everybody. We purchased living room furniture and received a discount because we payed in full, a discount on delivery because we were less than 50 miles away. They offer extended 5 year warranty which if you don't use it they will refund 1/2 of the cost after the 5 years are up. Our sales person, Becky, was very nice and very informative. I went to Furniture & ApplianceMart just to "look" at appliances. David Binkis more than willing to show me the ins and outs of all the different options. I was sold on the LG brand. They had a great promotion going on with the purchase of four appliances and 0% financing to boot. David printed off quotes and even showed me the online prices at other retailers, which I could have looked up myself, but he saved me the time. They will meet or beat those prices. After I took all the information home to show my husband, David was quick to respond to questions via email or text. Fortunately, my husband was as dissatisfied with our appliances as I was and we went ahead with the purchase. The delivery guys were very nice and efficient. They didn't leave a mess for me to clean up. I would shop there again as I like sales people who are working for a sale, are full of information, but are not too pushy. We recently purchased a home full of appliances and some furniture. We received an entire home appliance discount which was nice. Everything was going well but the delays in a few appliances being delivered due to not being in stock was going to mean a significant delay. I went back in and talked with Scott about exchanging a few of the delayed appliances to ones that were in stock. This became quite confusing when it came to reapplying that same discount which we did not receive on the washer and dryer, and we were also charged for two conversion kits for our range. When we discussed this with Scott we were under the impression it would be handled until the phone call arrived later in the week with a very frustrated Scott wanting the cash difference in the newly ordered appliances and the "two" conversion kit fees was not dealt with. It just appeared we lost Scott's care and concern once he had our money. Not impressed. read more

This company has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Our 4 year old refrigerator stopped working and we called them for a repair. We spent 6 days waiting for a return call, at which time I called them each day to check on things, but had to leave a message each time as their service department refuses to answer a phone or return a message. We spent 6 days without a fridge and finally called another repair man. I finally got ahold a nice gentleman in sales today who finally got ahold of a Billie in Service. She informed me that she wasn't going to re-imburse anything as they already had a ticket open for us. Of course we didn't know this as no one could get back to us to let us know what was going on. She said she did try calling, but didn't leave a message. When I asked her to put herself into my shoes and imagine it was her without a fridge for 6 days and absolutely no word from them to let me know what was happening would she have called someone else to come and fix it - she hung up on me! Fantastic customer service! I will NEVER purchase another appliance or furniture from this place again and all because of the ignorance of Billie and the inability and inefficiency of the staff to be able to call someone back and keep them updated as to what was happening! read more

Is it not theft when you pay for something and do not receive a product in return?I special ordered a chair in September. I called a couple weeks ago and was told it would be at the store the week of Nov. 11th, call again and was told another week, I asked for my money back and was told no because it was a special order. I called again today and was told that it would now be January. You can see by my review that "I called" every time. This business did not even have the respect to call me and let me the status. Now I have to wait 7-10 business days to receive my refund check of over $900.00. Don't order from this store or business. read more

Day 12 of no refrigerator. I purchased a LG refrigerator from furniture and Appliancemart on 5/30/15. Also purchased the extended warranty. This is the third breakdown with this unit. This time it is the compressor. After numerous phone calls, with promises of answers, I still do not know when or if this refrigerator will be fixed. purchase LG ref, 2 Years old now quit working called four times for repair, have extended warranty of 5 years, told now that the compressor needs replacing, will take a mouth to get, they say that they don't have a loaner ref. Be VERY careful about furniture, etc. that is being delivered. Today a neighbor bought a love seat for a seasonal cabin down on a lake, tucked into the trees. She mentioned the slight challenges in delivery. Luckily I was home when I heard the truck backing down the driveway (paved) and when it got to the bottom just turned onto the path and started snapping off trees/limbs. I ran out of my house screaming as the two delivery dopes were in the truck with the windows up .... I stood next to the truck they looked at me and didn't roll the windows down. I motioned to them. Explained the problem they said NOTHING. When I saw what they were delivering and how light it would be and what a small distance they would have to walk I literally could not believe the laziness!!! My neighbor was equally dumbfounded. I stood outside as they left to give them an opportunity to say something to me .... to see if they would have even a tiny shred of manners or customer service skills to say sorry .... etc. and NOTHING. So I attempt a complaint to find that NO MANAGER is working on a Saturday out of their distribution center. So any problem can just wait til Monday. I did talk to the store manager (Julie) where the item was bought and she was appropriately apologetic and surprised and said that she would forward the complaint. I will also follow up. At this point I have spent about an hour unrelated to anything I ordered (I have shopped there...and my couch is from there!) Thank goodness I was home or who knows what damage would have been done. This is in contrast to Home Depot which first surveys what they will deal with and then (usually) walks things in, including my double-doored beast of a refrigerator! read more

After purchasing a bedroom set at the Rhinelander Store and having it delivered to our Condo in Verona, Wi, at delivery it was determined to be damaged with a deep scratch on the front of the headboard. That was earlier this summer. Then on October we ordered an England Rocker Recliner and an England Monroe Queen Sleeper sofa. Surprise, Surprise upon deliveyr we were informed by the driver that the sofa fabric has a split/tear in the left rear corner. And after telling us we could NOT refuse the Damaged sotfa, the driver informed us we would be charged a 30% restock fee if we did refuse the damamged sofa. So he then attempted to open the sofa and found the bed's metal internal structure was ALSO damaged and could not be opened. I again stated I would objected to receive THE DAMAMGE sleeper sofa. I took pictures of both the ripped fabric and the bent metal sofa structure. The delivery driver claimed he would report problem(S) and have Customer Care contact us to make repairs???? I again said I did not wish to accept delivery of the significantly damaged Product. Do you think we will purchase furniture from Appliance Mart again?? Be warned!! read more

We purchased an expensive Southern Motion sofa and chair in Dec 2015. Within 4 months the cushions lost all support and caused major discomfort. We contacted them immediately. They would not credit or replace the sofa. They claimed they had to send a tech to check it out and try to repair the cushions. It took over a month for the tech to come. He added extra cushions only to have the same thing happen within 4 months again. But again, they sent a tech to do the same thing. Fortunately, we purchased the 5 year extra warranty. However, within four months of the second "repair visit" we were at the same point again with the cushions deformed and no support. We have to call again to schedule a "repair visit." Each call requires us to take time off from work. We actually should submit all of our chiropractor bills to them for reimbursement too. We are a two person household so the sofa gets minimal use. We are totally dissatisfied with the store handling of this problem regarding this product. We will NEVER purchase anything from them again. An example of "excellent customer service" would have been to issue a store credit and allow us to make an exchange, especially since the problem occurred so quickly after the purchase was made. Maybe excellent customer service isn't part of their mission statement. The store could have turned a bad experience into a good customer service experience, but they chose not to do that. Oh well, you know what they say about "word of mouth" advertising. read more
