Since (as we found out) the sole appliance store in our town only services appliances bought from their store, we were referred to Tom -- who promptly returned our call and scheduled a visit to repair our dryer. While he was repairing our dryer I inquired whether he worked on stoves too (as the igniter on my gas oven was failing). He said, "Yes, I do," and he was willing to take a look at it after he finished the dryer. It turns out he had a new igniter on his truck and ten minutes later our oven was up and running again. Tom apologized that the bill would be higher than he quoted because of the extra work -- but no problem for us -- the oven and dryer were fixed and the price was fair and worth every penny. Fast forward two weeks -- the dryer starts acting up again. So we called Tom and again he promptly scheduled an appointment. It turns our that the new part he installed had failed. So he replaced it -- at no charge -- because it was clearly under warranty. Hopefully everything will keep running for a long time. But if something happens -- we'll be calling Tom again -- and we highly recommend him for your appliance repairs.

Rebecca offered to help me and I pointed-out a couple of examples on their floor explaining that they were close but not exactly what I wanted whereupon Rebecca told me that they could custom make a bedframe for me so that it matched exactly what I wanted. I was delighted and spent some time going over specs and measurements. A reasonable time later, the delivery folks showed-up on my doorstep with my beautiful new bedframe, assembled it and removed the old bedframe. From start-to-finish, these folks were so great - helpful, responsive, resourceful & creative. And, on top of all that, I paid a very reasonable price for a beautiful, custom fabricated bedframe! They used to be good but then they put off filling my tank even after telling me they would be out…read moreon the weekend, then never showed and no call to inform me they weren't coming out. So I waited around all weekend for nothing putting off errands. Then when they refused to sell me the tank I was renting from them so I could have someone else fill the tank sooner. So after finding someone willing to sell me a tank I only had them fill their tank 25% so it would be empty by the time the others could bring me the new tank. Turns out the guy was making a big deal about my driveway cus he got a shiny new truck and was babying it, despite having no trouble driving down my driveway. Then they didn't even give me the discount for paying within their set time to earn that discount. So having to take a day off of work to make sure my driveway was clear of snow that weekend lost me even more money on top of having to leave work early the day they decided to come out to make sure the new snow fall was cleared enough for him... Very unprofessional and unacceptable, thankfully there are other companies that know the customer pays their bills. Would have been around $2000 this season in fuel and now they lose my hard earned money going forward.

Because…read moreRhinelander is a rather small city, there are not as many clock repair shops available as in Milwaukee, for example. I found this company by researching on the Internet. My request was, I think, a bit unusual: a friend, who had taken our grandfather clock apart and had taken the parts out of state to a repair shop where he lives, was unable to come back to the Rhinelander area to put the clock back together. I thus contacted Stacy, the owner of this wonderful shop, and told him of my situation; I then asked for his (hopeful) help in putting this clock back together. Despite having a very crowded schedule and a very wide-ranging territory, Stacy was able to fit me into his schedule. When Stacy arrived at our home, he immediately went to work on the clock, explaining every step to me and highlighting the details of this clock's manufacture. The depth and breadth of his experience are amazing. Further, Stacy treated this clock as if it were his own. Just as important, he was very patient, kind, and friendly with me, his client. Stacy's price was very reasonable, particularly considering his knowledge and experience. I wish we had more clocks to repair - Stacy is THAT good. He may do a bit of work on watches, but I'm not completely sure about that. I cannot say enough good things about Stacy. If/When we have any clock (or maybe watch) repairs that need to be done - and done correctly the first time - we're taking those items to Stacy, to the Wind Me Up Clock Shop in Rhinelander - and nowhere else. If/When the time comes that we need a new clock, we're also going only to him. Stacy mentioned that his wife had urged him to go into the clock repair profession full-time; after an extended period of time, he did that. I am thankful that he acted on her guidance.
