My parents ordered two couches, a chair, pillows, and a rug from this location back in August. Everything arrived in a timely manner except the two couches. At least eleven phone calls later (possibly more; they couldn't remember them all!), many many false promises from employees that the couches were on their way from the warehouse (or being build or on the truck, etc.), my parents were FINALLY informed at the end of November that the couches hadn't even been built yet! The delivery date for the couches has been pushed out at least three times! At this point the couches won't even be done being made until mid December. Apparently these specific couches are very popular! A manager has blamed many of the employees for not knowing how to read the computer. One employee even told them, when asked by my parents for a corporate number, that it "doesn't exist," that there isn't one that they can give out. My father later found one online and was able to reach corporate. My parents were initially only refunded the shipping costs, but have since been told they will be credited more money. read more

I ended up going to both locations today and I was pleasantly surprised. I first met Jennifer who was very informative, yet gave me no pressure to buy. She did direct me to the mall location so I could get a better idea of what I was looking for. That is where I met Sean. He was so sweet to me, like he treated me like family. He asked all the right questions and was 100% honest. I feel I paid a great price for the sofa I bought today. Edit: the sofa I bought was on backorder, which was fine. I was told once it came in, I would receive a call to set up my delivery time. Well today I received a call saying they were in the area and wanted to deliver my sofa. I'm at work until 10pm. Then he offered tomorrow, but again, I'm at work till 10pm. He then offered to call me later today to set up delivery time, but I'm at work till 10pm. I personally feel that it would of been a lot easier to set up delivery time before trying to deliver it to my house. 2nd Edit: well since no one took the time to arrange a time for my sofa delivery, I decided to take it upon myself. So I called the store and spoke to a confused man. Then a different man came on the phone and asked if he could call me back later. Weird, but ok. Then the first man came back on to take down my name number. Yesterday they were all about delivering my sofa, now today it doesn't seem to be that big of a deal. read more

I had such a great experience w/ Furniture & Beyond! I wasn't sure what set I liked more and made a few drop-in's before making my decision. Jennifer & Sean were both so very professional, friendly and patient each time showing me different sets available in the books. Jennifer even measured the large couch for me and called me back with the measurements while I was at home. I don't know the names of the two men who delivered my furniture but they were very professional and one of the gentleman even offered to help me put my other furniture back into place prior to their leaving. 5 stars from me! Do not buy from this location!! Bought a sectional, recliner and tables on 6/21/21. Was told a wait on 1 piece. On receipt showed due date 8/2/21. Today is 9/29/21 and was told now 2 pieces missing and it will be some time in October. I have had to call to get updates, they have never called. One time I called their toll free number accidentally to check order status. This man asked address, phone, birthdate, expiration of cc and when he asked for credit card # I hung up. Started getting scam calls after that. Called for manager and he never called me back. Called again and he dialed the number with me on the line asking the man who he was. He then said that number previously was attached to Chase. I asked why it was on my receipt. I called and asked the manager to cancel. He said I couldn't since I signed a legal binding receipt. Well that receipt also says I would have my furniture by August 2, 2021. With that he said well that's how the world is now!!! I believe they overchatged for the furniture also. I am turning in this dispute with AX and also going to file a report with Merrilville Police and whoever else I need to about the scam number. BEWARE! read more

I had an awesome experience here. I went into this store and in 30 minutes I felt like family. Staff was super helpful but not pushy. They really tried to understand what you were looking for so that they could make the best suggestions to fit your style . I never felt as if they were just trying to make a sale. PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE SHOPPING WITH THE BROADWAY LOCATION! I do not take time out my day at any moment to spew negative feedback for those I do business with, UNLESS it is called for, and THIS is called for. First off, I am a Chicago resident, with no car, and I just moved and found the furniture and beyond deal on facebook and was excited because it was perfect for the cost, the 13 piece set is what interested me! On the face book page a representative would answer questions so I asked if the set was mix and match and he told me yes, that I could receive lower quality furniture for the livingroom, but an Ashley kitchen table set, this was okay with me, so I made arrangements with someone to take me down to Indiana to make my purchase, and when I got there I met Maggie, I urge STAY AWAY FROM MAGGIE! she was very rude, not welcoming, and when I asked her about my ability to mix and match, she retorted with complete rudeness "I don't know who told you that, I'm not in charge of FB, the person who told you that is here on Monday so you can come back then, but I know the furniture quality won't be good, but you can come back Monday" I let her know that I came all the way from Chicago and had not opportunity to return on Monday since it was Saturday ! so I had to take the deal as is and not was told to me by one of their staff. I was okay with that, I paid for my items and made note to share my experience with Maggie. So the next week my furniture was delivered to me, after Maggie tried calling me saying they would only be ale to deliver it on MONDAY after I had told her I am only free Saturdays! But after me explaining that was unacceptable, it came the next Saturday as agreed upon! So the men delivered my stuff, and opened and checked the couches and left. However a week later I was setting up, just to find that the coffee table glass was sent SHATTERED! so I called the store and spoke with JR the manager, he was RUDE, he was cursing on the phone, telling me I needed to calm down, which I was very calm, he took over 15 minutes JUST to locate my account, tit seemed as though he was trying to imply I had never purchased from them, he told me he tried to tell me that I was given the wrong table set anyway, as if I was to let it slide, and then tried to say that I was going to have to pay for shipping/delivery! I sent my info to their customer service email..NO REPLY..I called him back since he never gave dates, or ETA's for when the table parts would be sent, he never called back from my message! This is unacceptable, I will be reporting them to the BBB and I urge everyone to find a different location because the sales manager and Maggie at broadway are to be avoided! Great quality furniture, customer service, pricing/deals!! Furniture and Beyond offers a very wide selection in both taste and price. This store offers excellent financing options and goes above and beyond to help in any way they can. Unlike most other furniture stores, when my husband and I asked if we could have some time to browse instead of being hounded, that is exactly what happened. We were given all the time necessary to browse and were promptly attended to when we asked the front desk for a salesperson. I will definitely be purchasing from Furniture and Beyond again and would absolutely recommend this store to others! read more

Stop! Do not spend your money at this store. The furniture is expensive but is made very cheap. Also, the customer service is very very poor. The one guy who I think is the manager is very very rude. Save your money and take it elsewhere. Never again will I shop there, and I will tell everyone I know to AVOID this place. read more
