Great organization and great service! Glad to know the furniture ends up in someone's home who truly needs it.

First time today going here (ever) after couple of gov. imposed lockdowns since it opened around…read morethe same time last year My impression of this store was that it was quiet, organized, the people working there were nice and there were a lot of stuff to choose from. In the aisles, the items were organized based on what they were while the at the ends of the aisles (the side near the clothing) were organized by colour. The prices seemed to be lower than the couple of thrift stores I have been to. They don't calculate taxes on what you are getting so if you spend $5, you will pay $5 which was a shock to me (in a good way). I will probably here many more time in the future. I would totally recommend coming here.

*Rating only for the Donation Centre*…read more The Donation Centre at this Goodwill location is great! This plaza gets pretty busy and parking seemed to be packed but if you're looking for the Donation Centre, it is located on the right side, where there is additional parking. There is also a curbside area with signage directing you to pull up to for drop-offs, there's no need to park. At a glance, the Donation Centre looks to be very clean and organized. There is a large door open on the side of the building for donation drop-offs. We were told to leave our donations in the doorway, and the staff will later retrieve and sort through them. They operate with contactless donations - how convenient! Goodwill works with organizations that provide assistance to those with barriers seeking employment and upgrading their skills. What doesn't get sold in their stores, gets rotated to other locations, to Goodwill outlets, then sent to textile factories to be upcycled and repurposed. If you're looking to donate your items, please support non-profit places like Goodwill, rather than for-profit businesses in the area like Value Village and Talize.

Here's a case of the phrase "Your Mileage May Vary" in action…read more There is no question that, if you're looking for a very specific piece of furniture or certain item, there are some potential great deals here due to the curated selection. Everyone else should stay away. On a lark, my family and I decided to make a trek to this ReStore location, having heard good things about it from another family member. The first thing that gave me pause about this place is its location, one of the worst I've seen in recent memory. It's the first time in a long while I was fearful of walking through a parking lot, because the business is located at a turn in which cars race along Queen Elizabeth Boulevard before turning right at the lot at sharp speeds. No stop signs, no messages telling people to slow down... it wouldn't surprise if there have been numerous accidents in this parking lot. Beyond that, the exterior of the site is... dumpy, to put it mildly. While you have to expect a certain amount of roughness from any second-hand store, the hand-written, crayon-style signs at the front and back don't do this place any favors. Inside, the selection is actually decent, but as mentioned previously, pricing is all over the place. One corner loveseat is $40, another is twice the price. Smaller items are priced at higher prices than giant picture frames, the "vinyl" section that was on offer the day I visited looked like it had just been pulled out of someone's attic, and the store manages the impressive feat of being too cluttered and oddly empty at the same time -- everything's shoved into three or four locations, with the rest being empty space. I did ended up finding something - a signed Christie Blatchford book about the Caledonia screwup in the mid 2000s (ironic, considering ReStore apparently has a location here in Toronto on... Caledonia Boulevard). The rest of us left empty-handed, and the weird nonchalance of the staff didn't help matters. There may be some good finds here, but there's also a lot working against this location, which is a shame considering the high prestige of the mainline organization. Not worth a look unless you absolutely, positively think you'll find a deal here, and even then, YMMV.

And to offer pick up or delivery -- Too good to be true, unfortunately. After ordering (and paying) online for an item for pick up, I proceeded to the Etobicoke ReStore once I had received the confirmation email to say that my item was ready for pick up -- only to find out that they could not locate the item in question. After 20 minutes of them bumbling around asking staff / volunteers if anyone had processed the order, they arrived at the conclusion that it must have been sold quite some time ago & not removed from inventory. Human Error -- NO other explanation. How about incompetence!?! After crediting my payment, the store employee asked how he might rectify the situation -- but short of compensating me for my fuel & over 1-1/2 hours travel time -- there wasn't anything to be done. So very disappointed. Note to ReStore: if you're going to offer online shopping, make sure you know how to do it properly. I'll not be wasting any more time browsing your website -- it's just not worth my time.

The festival was still held at the Small Arms Inspection Building. CreativeHub 1352 is a non-profit, charitable, community-driven organization that saved this building from destruction. It plans a number of events every year. It focuses on advancing Mississauga's community cultural development through the arts, heritage, and environmental sciences. I love this festival because I eat my way through local good eats and drinks. It's always nice to support local and discover new business all in one location. I have also visited the farmers' market that tends to be available between May and October each year. It's held outside and takes up a good chunk of the parking space. With both the festival and the outdoor market, I have done a lot of purchasing damage. What I love is that Cathy's Kombucha is a regular at both. Every time I come to this building, it's always there. I end up getting my kombucha fix and love that I don't have to hit Oakville, which is where this company is located. It's a nice space for produce, baked goods, and more. I have always enjoyed dropping by. I tend to drive southbound along Dixie until there is no road. I'm then here! There are washrooms in the building. I have never used them. They are closer to the main entrance. I'm glad that this building continues to endure and host a number of cool events to bring the community together. (486)

They made great use of the outdoor space and took us through various areas where we could hear frogs and see fireflies. The old water tower is really cool too. There are logs and cut wood in different areas and ponds too. I'm curious to see it in daylight. Large free parking lot on gravel adjacent to the building.
