I had been searching for a new couch to fit my space, I spent months looking and never found exactly what I wanted. After a lengthy search, we found the sectional we wanted, and it was just in our neighborhood! We had been to so many stores--from outlets to Living Spaces, Ashley's, and West Elm--and couldn't agree on what we wanted. I'm really picky because I wanted a couch that wasn't sprayed with toxic chemicals and wouldn't break the bank. So glad we discovered Sofa Republic, where we could customize the couch to what we both liked. The outside of the store is very nondescript and humble, but inside, it's modern and clean. I liked that they offer different levels of foam: soft, medium, and hard for us to test out. We sat on all the different cushions. There's so much customization available: the fabric, cushion, design, and size of the sectional. I also love the warranty, which was far better than any of the other furniture stores : They offer a 10-year warranty. The service was super nice as well--Kasra was our guy! Why we went with this place: their materials are less toxic (no PFOAs or PFAS) and the warranty of service. And they are still cheaper than West Elm and Pottery Barn! They were really fast--they quoted 2-4 weeks to finish, but they were done within 2.5 weeks. Everything is made locally, right in Natomas! The delivery guys were nice as well. I would love to give these guys 5 stars but I can't. Here's why: It was not easy to reach or to get a call back over the phone regarding the status of the couch. I literally had to go to the shop and ask to see the couch, which they let me see in the warehouse in the back (which I appreciated). The delivery drivers were just plain rude. Almost didn't give them the $35 cash delivery fee for being complete jerks. It doesn't matter if you're the delivery person or the salesperson, how you treat the customer is a direct reflection of your business. Just wanted to comment on the fantastic after care I received. One of my cushions developed a hole at the seam after about 5 or 6 months. I brought it into the store and they finished the repair within 48 hours. No charge, and they even wrapped up my cushion to keep it from getting dirty. I can't recommend this place enough. I needed two :( I told My Sofa Factory which couch from Potterybarn I wanted and they literally made it for me. Exact dimensions and everything for $2,800 for TWO couches. Who does that? It took 8 weeks and I changed the fabric to a more child friendly fabric with a darker color and different color hardware so that there wont be any copy right infringement but I really got exactly what I wanted. I am sooo thankful for my Sofa Factory team!! They've never made this style before and it took them 4 tries, but they really want to make the customer happy and do it right. the waiting sucks but they offered me a loaner couch for FREE. If I could give 10 stars I would. I have had my sectional for a few months now and am absolutely thrilled with the quality, design, price, service and overall experience with Kassra and his staff. I was looking to purchase a sofa (ended up with a sectional) that would be comfortable and durable to last years. I'd been to every furniture place in the greater Sacramento area so was aware of what's available in mid to high end sofas as I usually try to keep upholstered items 20+ years. I really couldn't find the perfect fit due to the odd narrow size of my family room as well as wanting super comfortable feather cushions that were durable. I originally was trying to get the look of Article's Sven green sofa. I stumbled across My Sofa Factory during my search to find someone to redo another room's sofa and chair cushions that I was unhappy with from another upholstery shop. Kassra educated me on what had been done with the cushions and how to correct them to new feather wraps and different type foam cushions from what I'd just purchased. Reupholstery is not something My Sofa Factory usually provides but he was willing to help me as I was unable to get the original upholstery shop to assist me after 9 months of trying. I must've visited the Showroom a half dozen times getting fabric swatches and bombarding Kassra with my many questions. He was patient, helpful and never pushy with his suggestions. I did a complete 180 switching from a green velvet sofa to a large off-white sectional and then customizing the shape, size, cushions etc. oh boy!! During the weeks it was being built I was a bit nervous hoping it would turn out as I had made so many changes to their standard sectionals. When it was delivered, it fit perfectly in my room and had all the comfort I wanted. It's basically like a feather bed and big enough for our tall family. Kassra was kind enough to call me the same day to see how I liked it and to tell me that the cushions are super puffy due to the new feather wraps and that we could jump on them to normalize them (LOL). I would like to thank Kasra and the gang at My Sofa Factory for a job well done. We were expecting to do a shopping marathon to find the exact right size sofa and have to settle. I'm so glad we went to My Sofa Factory first. It's completely and exactly what we wanted, sturdy, solid, well made but down filled with a great durable fabric so it's comfortable and pleasant to sit in. It's exactly like they sketched it. Kasra (I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong) was great and explained every detail so we understood exactly what we were getting. The prices were in line with what you would pay for a quality couch. Not cheap but very decent for a completely custom made piece and not at all what I would consider to be expensive. If your considering ordering allow about an hour to go over all the many details so you get it exactly right. If you are worried and thinking about ordering from these folks I would say do it. We had a great experience and have already placed another order for a kitchen settee booth. It would have been a 5 star review but our only gripe is with the delivery guys. They totally scratched up our brand new door casing. The door had just put in brand we and the casing professionally painted so it's really a bummer that now it's all messed up. They didn't even have the decency to tell us. Suggestion to replace or at the very least talk to your delivery people. It's gonna cost me to have this touched up. read more
