Moreover, I have never encountered a more meticulous and courteous group of workers. They designed a beautiful kitchen for us. I flew from PA to CA for a lamp. The reason I had to go there is irrelevant but I couldn't find this lamp anywhere but Furnitalia. Purchasing this lamp was well worth the trip. I love the furniture we've received from Furnitalia in Sacramento. We've bought 2 couches, a chair, a dining room table, a coffee table and will be buying a bedroom set from them in the future. ** READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE YOU BUY FROM FURNITALIA ** In late 2018 I purchased a Natuzzi Philo sofa from Furnitalia for ~$8000. This sofa has an electric recline feature. The first day we received delivery of the unit we noticed some grinding/scraping on the rear side of the unit. As this was our 1st purchase of an electric recliner - we weren't sure if this was normal. Within a few days we noticed that the leather was being scraped off the rear of the sofa. I contacted Furnitalia immediately (Pearl - Assistant Manager). She arranged for their repair contractor to come inspect the sofa. This took several week and the communication during this period was non-existent. The repairman immediately identified that the unit was defective and stated that it could not be repaired on site. He also explained that the leather repair "would never be the same". The repair could take "up to 6 weeks". We purchased a new unit. Not a scratch and dent defective model. Further, we sold our older Ekornes Stressless Sofa so we didn't have a place to sit while waiting for 6 weeks. Furnitalia became unresponsive. So I issued a chargeback on my American Express. That worked. I got phone calls from Furnitalia that very day. To try to resolve the matter by calling the Manager of Furnitalia (Greg). I explained the situation, and he was pleasant and committed to replace the defective unit - even though he said it would take several months. We were okay with that and thanked him kindly. We thought we were done. After a period of time, I followed up with Pearl to confirm that the replacement order had been placed and that it would be delivered to our home. She confirmed the order had been placed - but said we would need to pay $299 for delivery of the replacement sofa. We asked: So you want us to pay $299 dollars, over the original purchase price, in order to replace a defective unit that you sold us?? Out of principle - we respectfully declined to pay the $299 extra. We never heard back from them - so I assumed they moved forward with the replacement order. Nope. They called American Express, and conveniently misled them and only indicated that we declined warranty service. Of course we did - because the Manager (Greg) agreed to replace the unit. Problem for Furnitalia is that I had it all in writing - and I kept all the correspondence. AMEX immediately re-issued the chargeback. Furnitalia commented that this was tricky because it is Natuzzi's defective sofa - and that may be the case. But that is something Furnitalia needs to take up with Natuzzi. We are still stuck in this process. Furnitalia seems to be playing hardball over a measly $299. As a matter of principle, I don't pay extra for defective product. read more

For a remodel project, I looked at a lot of businesses in the Bay Area for affordable, modern kitchen and bathroom cabinet systems. Thank goodness I finally found Furnitalia in Sacramento! The kitchens and bathrooms Furnitalia sell have great modern design. I researched the brand (from Germany) and was impressed with the reputation for good quality and functionality. I ordered cabinets for the kitchen and two bathrooms. And, from start to finish my interactions with Furnitalia have been super. Garry and Dmitriy understand customer service and support. ** BUYER BEWARE ** I would like to take a couple of moments to clarify some of the inaccurate and misleading comments by Dmitriy to my husband in a separate Yelp review. We have never had any direct communications with Dmitriy. He never once felt our issue to be important enough to get engaged - until we left a review on Yelp. We even asked Greg (Manager), in writing, to escalate this to Dmitriy. Never heard a peep. Perhaps if Dmitriy were a little more proactive and in engaged - instead of waiting to come in and perform mop-up duty after things go south - this matter could have been before it spiraled out of control? First, the sofa is "defective". The Furnitalia service technician inspected the unit and found on the interior of the sofa that there is a piece of material that is rubbing up against the leather when the sofa reclines. The technician even asked me to reach inside the sofa so that I could see/feel for myself the defect with this sofa to justify the need to take the unit away to be repaired for "4-6 weeks." The scuff on the leather did not appear on Day 1 - it doesn't happen that quickly. Think about it. It develops over time - each the time sofa is reclined electrically. To try to blame this on my delivery service is cowardly. The only reason I hired my own delivery service is because I couldn't get a return call from their delivery technician. Furnitalia blamed this defect on Natuzzi multiple times - now they want to try to blame on delivery? It arrived in pristine condition. Second, Furnitalia committed to replace the sofa months ago. Turns out, without any communication back to me whatsoever, they changed their minds. They went back to American Express and told them "customer declined warranty service". Fortunately, I had it in writing (still do) that Furnitalia committed to replace the defective unit and I provided this to American Express - and they stood behind me 100%. In fact, without American Express - I don't think this issue would ever have been resolved. Third, SINCE my husband posted the first Yelp review - Furnitalia has indeed agreed to replace the sofa and also provided a goodwill credit that will cover the delivery charges. So in essence, we are in agreement. Finally, my husband was going to REMOVE his Yelp review altogether - until he saw Dmitriy's comments. Again, Dmitriy never reached out to us one single time. Apparently his style is to try to spin things in his favor on social media and hope for the best - rather than take a customer oriented approach. Honestly, it seems kind of cowardly to me. Either you own the business and can deal with the prickly situations - or you can't. Don't hide. With the support of American Express and the power of Yelp - Furnitalia did the right thing in replacing this sofa that their own service technician deemed "defective" - but my god, this was one of the most painful purchases ever. ******** Comment from Dmitriy A. of Furnitalia Business Owner 3/9/2019 In response to Mr. Todd: This was a new sofa that was picked up on 11/8 by an agent for Mr. Todd, who may or may not have been the cause of the damage in the first place, and enjoyed for about a month until 12/11 when the manufacturer received a repair request. Appointments were made and kept by the technician during the holidays which, understandably, the manufacturer's service does shut down to give employees time with their families. They were in communication with Mr. Todd throughout, and he even thanked them. Also, Furnitalia called several times in an attempt to expedite the process to no avail. The technician determined that to best repair the sofa, they would need to have it 'in-shop' for 2-4 weeks, which seems like a long time, I agree, but it is what it takes to do it right. Because of Mr. Todd's refusal of this solution, we agreed to forego the proper procedure and not only order him another new sofa, but allow him to use the original one in the meantime, a process that would take several months. We are able to keep low prices by contracting out our delivery service as some customers will pick up on their own, as Mr. Todd did, and we do not have our own trucks as upkeep and gas would increase costs. This gentleman lives 5 hours away and the delivery fee to get him the new sofa is $599. We offered to again compromise and split this payment with him. This seems more than fair. Regarding your comment: "We are still stuck in this process" -- We are actually in the process of waiting for a new sofa to be built and shipped from Italy. There is no speeding this up. As for your comment: "Furnitalia seems to be playing hardball over a measly $299. As a matter of principle, I don't pay extra for a defective product" -- We are not playing games -- the $299 is half of the normal delivery fee to where Mr. Todd lives. We purchased a dresser, chest, and nightstands a few years ago for our master bedroom. When I called with a problem with the drawer alignment on my nightstand, the owner actually came to my house to fix it and even patiently showed me how to do it myself if I had any problems in the future! Excellent service! This year, we decided to purchase a sectional. Both Kurt and Ruth were extremely helpful and patient, showing us many choices of sectional sofas, helped us with different schematics in order to have a perfect fit in our family room, and showed us numerous fabric choices. We have been shopping for nice leather sectionals and decided to make the drive from Santa Clara to Sacramento just to deal with the nice folks at Furnitalia. We bought a floor model and the sales associate took multiple pictures for us and held the sectional for us for a few days until we could come up. The selection of Natuzzi furniture was spectacular! The owner was working on Sunday by himself so the help was little slow but the 5 minute wait was worth it. He helped us load the couch and wrap it in bubble wrap he found in the back room. We wish that there was a Furnitalia in SF or San Jose but we would recommend the drive if you happen to find something you love or on sale (our floor model was a great deal). read more

Recently visited their newest location off Auburn Blvd and Hemlock. It appears they are expanding or moving into a larger showroom. While I did not buy anything this time, I did notice their sales staff was still very knowledgeable and professional. Unlike a lot of other retail stores, their standards have maintained a distinct level of quality and customer service on par with the high end furniture stores in the bay area. In fact, while I was there, I interacted with a couple of different unrelated people who traveled from the bay area to shop at Furnitalia. They're doing something right! They just started carrying a couple new lines of furniture which looks very promising. One of which I believe is made in America. They have also begun a financing system with little or no APR if paid off within a certain time frame. Please check with the store for more info and don't quote me as I did not inquire as to the details. Overall, the store is still pleasant to shop and the furniture is amazing as always. Excellent experience buying furniture at Furnitalia! We showed up after closing and were looking through the windows and the owner noticed so he opened the store up for us. It was 7:45 at night, almost two hours after closing. He insisted we come inside and was very patient with us. We ended up making a purchase and picked it up two days later (on a Sunday) and the owner loaded our furniture for us. You just don't get service like that anymore! It was impossible to find a store in Northern California who specialized in contemporary furniture, so we were quite pleased several years ago to discover Furnitalia. We had been looking for a dining room set for five years, and were finally able to find and purchase one we loved (and still love and get comments on from interior designers).
