I was met by David, who took my information and called in Ivan, the Bernina expert, who was able to diagnose the problem and replace the broken part then and there! Both service men were so friendly and helpful and they really know their machines. I took their advice on best usage of this state of the art overlocker, which I now consider my dream machine. The initial employee who helped me had a supervisor look at my sewing machine and determined it would cost more to fix than it was worth (I paid $120 years ago) so I opted to leave to them for recycling. Before leaving, the employee asked if I wanted to see some of their sewing machines. I was willing, but I was not looking for anything fancy; I usually use a sewing machine to hem pants legs and don't have any other skill. She showed me a few and they were out of my price range for what I use sewing machines for. They were also too fancy and complicated. I just want something to hem pants legs. I expressed this, so she showed me more sewing machines that were even more expensive. I reiterated I just want something simple and inexpensive to hem my pants and very minor adjustments. She, then, took me back to the original sewing machines she showed me, pointing at a $499 sewing machine and said, "So you'll go with this one?" I said no thanks and left. I found another $120 machine at another store. Just what I wanted.
