Jeff has come out to my house twice, first to fix my refrigerator and today to fix my dryer. My automatic defrost unit stopped working which cased poor airflow. I was impressed that he had the part for my refrigerator on his truck. He also recommended replacing the thermostat given the age of my fridge. The cost for the repair was very reasonable. My husband called this guy out. I believe it was Jeff. he was rude from the second he got here. No hi how are you nothing. prior to him coming my cat pooped in the litter box and we cleaned it out before he got here but there was obviously still a lingering smell. I lit candles and sprayed and hope it would go away because he was going to be coming to check out our washer. Which was in the same room as the litter box. He comes in and my husband took over explaining to him what was going on I just stood there and watched him told his eyes and get rude with my husband. like cutting him off short. so I was getting aggravated. my husband walked out as did I to leave the room so he could get in there and check out the problem. Jeff squatted down and said it fucking stinks like cat shit in here. I said excuse me? he said yeah. I said ya know, you have been rude since you got here you need to leave. we can have someone else come out here. well he didn't like that. He got angry and made a couple rude comments as I walked him out. He smarted off and went to turn around on his way out and i aggressively shit my front door. he yelled out. You hit my Achille tendon you Bitch and you Cunt and then punched and kicked my front door. I opened the door and he came in and punched me in my chest. He turned around and went to his car. We had our dryer out over the weekend and called different appliance repair companies but none were available except for Jeff @Furrow. He troubleshooted the issue and found the dryer motor to be out. Part came in the next day and he installed it yesterday, 20min at the most for replacement, he ran it for a few minutes and it seemed to fix the problem. unfortunately we haven't had a chance to use it yet since we only do laundry on the weekends. Because we were in a situation where we needed it fixed right away I didn't have time to shop around on estimates and since laundry was building we decided to get the job completed. I was kind of shocked at the bill but like I said we were in a bind and needed it done. I googled the dryer motor and found it was $75. OK, we have a big family and do at least two loads of laundry day. You can imagine what that means when the washing machine is broken for seven days. Why seven days, you ask? Because the weekend is included and most appliance repair guys don't work on the weekend. It pays to get a second opinion. The dispenser to our ice maker in our freezer portion of our refrigerator (KitchenAid) was malfunctioning. I called Furrow, and they had a technician come out and check it out. I know no one is perfect but the technician told us we would have to have Sears come out and fix it. We had another company come out after Furrow Appliance Repair who is able to diagnose and fix it (and it is not Sears). I'm kind of disappointed I had to pay the $59 (or whatever Furrow charged) just to have them tell me incorrect information. Therefore, it pays to get a second opinion. read more

We called Furrow to check out a washing machine problem. They charged $55 for a service call. They diagnosed the problem, explained the repair cost, and then blew my mind, by recommending replacement, instead of repair! In this greedy world, a repair company actually said he thought my best choice was to NOT hire his company! Who does that? We followed his good advise, and replaced our machine. We have also made a decision that anytime our home appliances have any issues, we are going to call Furrow. It is worth the $55 to get an honest, expert opinion on how to best spend our money. Washer went on the fritz suddenly, and we panicked. I checked appliance repair on yelp and found furrows and gave them a try. They were very timely in their call back and very professional. I was not there to meet them, my dad was. But my dad said they knew what they were talking about. The service call was only $55. They gave a lot of good advice, and it turns out we're just going to get a new washer. So they didn't try to sell their service. They gave me a realistic understanding of what I was looking at. And what I'm looking at is a washer that's only four years old, GE, and can't even get parts for it anymore. Or, I should say they sold out to some other company and it's very hard to get parts. Plus it's unknown if the electrical problem I have may have burned out other components. To get those parts could take a couple weeks to longer. Very frustrating that they're not even built to last more than a few years. I'm going to take his advice and check out a speed queen, at least to see if it's worth buying. Keep it simple. Anyway, I would recommend furrows appliance. The experience I had was good. They were very professional. read more

I called Furrow and left a message of my needs and within 15 minutes Stephani called me back and Jeff was scheduled to arrive between 11-1, he was ringing my doorbell at 11:45. My stove was very old and original "new" parts were not available, and the cost of used parts exceeded $400.00. Jeff was very professional and showed me all searches for the major part. Simply outstanding. Last week we called them out because our ice maker was giving us trouble. They suggested some fixes (could've easily pulled the wool over eyes). We tried the fixes, but no luck...and then our clothes washer started giving us trouble. They came back out, applied the previous trip fee to the cost of our new ice maker! When examining our clothes washer, they told us the repair would be cost more than a new washer. Could've simply done the repair and charged us lots of money. Jeff Furrow came out and helped diagnose and fix the ice dispenser the same day that I called. Where most places would probably start by just replacing the $200 control board after determining that no power was going to the auger motor Jeff ended up finding a broken wire saving me the $200.
