Called this guy told him my washing machine was having issues he asked me my machine model number on the phone. He showed up at the house didn't even do anything just said the control board was bad and it would be over $500 to fix. Said he sees these all the time doesn't even need to diagnose and has no way to do so. If that is true why the hell do you waste both of our times by coming out? I gave Rhino a call on a Saturday morning because my 2016 Kenmore Elite refrigerator was no longer cooling in either compartment. The owner Mark answered, and based on my description of the problem and the model # of my fridge, he was able to immediately conclude that the compressor died. He informed me the linear compressors used in LG manufactured refrigerators from that time period are infamous for short lifespans, and there was even a successful class action lawsuit filed over those very compressors. Instead of offering to replace the compressor himself, he recommended contacting Sears since the compressor would still be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Sure enough, it did turn out to be a dead linear compressor. Going through Sears' Repair Dept. ended up cutting the overall repair costs in half, since I was not liable for the cost of the parts. I much appreciate Mark's quick over-the-phone diagnosis and his advice on how to proceed, particularly since there was nothing in it for him. Mark seemed very nice and concerned on the phone, even offering to squeeze me in should I need for him come sooner than my 11/13/21 appointment, between 9am - 10am. I can't recommend this guy highly enough. Had him come to take a look at a non-functioning washing machine that we were afraid we'd have to replace and he had it up and running in no time . Since he was here I asked him to look at the dishwasher that had a similar problem. he found a mistake made by a previous repairman and fixed it. Mark was able to come out the same day when my refrigerator stopped cooling. Service fee is $85.00 (guessing based on distance having to travel to house)to diagnose it. After he diagnosed it as a bad evaporator fan he was also able to fix it the same day!! My Samsung fridge is back to normal and also he also has a warranty. I called Mark with Rhino Appliance Repair after reading all the great reviews here. We have a 26 year old Maytag that wasn't cooling properly and spoiling food. When he came out, he didn't seem very certain of what could be causing the problem, and did not take the time do perform a thorough diagnostic workup on the fridge which led to a mis-diagnosis. He believed it was a bad thermostat and replaced it, which didn't make any difference to our fridge problem. He refunded the repair cost, but not the diagnostic charge of $75, which he should have refunded also since he misdiagnosed the problem from the beginning. The delay with the thermostat replacement cost us another week without a proper functioning fridge. Rhino Appliance Repair would have gotten a 1 star had he not refunded any of our money. read more

My front load washer was not spinning to drain out the water from the clothes properly. I called Rhino Appliance and Mark was able to come out same day to look at my washer. He was able to look at my washer, explained to me the problem, made sure the problem was fixed by testing my washer multiple times by running the washer with clothes in it and was able to fix the problem. I do not recommend using this company. Mark did not show up for the first set appointment. When he finally did come 4 days later he said it would be $245 for an idler pulley repair and up from there even though he did not pull the back of the dryer off to confirm the issue. I could pay $245 to start work or a mandatory $75 call fee for coming out if I declined. The situation did not feel right to me. I called for 2 other quotes and they were $120 and $150 to replace the idler pulley including the service call, parts, and labor. I called Mark to ask for my $75 or a portion back given he missed our first appointment and his fees were double the quotes I received from other vendors. He offered to take $20 off only if I had him make the repair for a total $225 which was still well over the highest bid I had received. read more

Several months ago I had a problem with a free-standing ice maker and called Mark. Instead of just coming out, he talked me through cleaning the coils and doing a couple of other small items, at the end of which time the machine was working fine. He talked himself out of a job! Mark did a fantastic job! our refrigerator is down on a Saturday morning and we called him 10am. He arrived in the afternoon, did a quick diagnosis, and found out the circuit board is bad. That's not a very common board but he is able to make contact with several suppliers on Monday and get the board shipped overnight. I scheduled a dishwasher repair with Mark at Rhino repair for the next day. That was a surprise as a couple other vendors I contacted didn't have availability. Mark arrived on time and even called me before he was on his way. Mark was friendly and very easy going. I could tell he was experienced and was reassured with his laidback style that he was someone I could trust. He examined my dishwasher and knew pretty quickly the problem. He quoted me a fair price before he began the work. He quickly left to get a part, installed it and tested the machine. He thought while the fix was complete on the initial problem, there might also be a drain problem. It wasn't urgent as the dishwasher was draining, but slowly. Without hesitation, he took apart a different part of the dishwasher and helped me clean the parts. He also checked the pump. After cleaning, the system drained a lot better. He did all of this without an extra charge. He took his time on my dishwasher, he was courteous, kept everything clean and really knew what he was doing. I hope rhino is in business a long time as I'll be sure to use them next time. You should give Rhino a shot for your next repair and trust the pricing is fair; my experience was excellent! read more
