BEWARE of boarding your pets! Unsanitary conditions!! Positive reviews are owners friends. He's…read moreon FB asking his friends to give positive reviews to counteract the "fake" reviews (https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1L1mjFs2g5/ ) We had our reservations when we toured the facility. The dogs DO NOT GO OUTSIDE. They play and POTTY inside all day. We were concerned, but were reassured they pick up immediately and are always cleaning. We should have listen to our guts. We boarded our dogs for 1 week while away. They were both healthy. When we picked them up, one dog's eyes were runny. By that evening, they were so puffy he could barely see. Took him to the vet and got some eye cream for an infection, as well as irritated skin around his paws. After a couple of days, he began to have this deep hacking cough. Back to the vet! As it turns out he also caught a respiratory infection while there. And yes, the other dog began to show symptoms not too long after for the eye infection and the respiratory infection. Luckily we caught his quickly and he is not suffering as much as the other dog. It's been over a month (and approx. $2000 in vet bills) and we are still dealing with it. Another thing that has happened is the pooping inside did not immediately go away and we had issues with that as well as poop eating (coprophagia), something they have NEVER EVER done. That has been extremely hard to break. I would STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST sending your pet to this facility. UPDATE: the owner is not telling the truth. Our puppies were there the week of March 7 through the 14th. How dare you come on here and try to say that we were never there. Shame on you! He's in the video you posted while he was there! I also included the video with my other dog as well.

I had a very concerning experience with this dog daycare facility and would strongly urge other dog…read moreowners to think carefully before bringing their pets here. On a recent date, my dog was attacked by another dog while in their care. I was contacted by staff immediately and had to seek veterinary treatment, as well as file a police report due to the severity of the incident. What's especially alarming is that I was told by an employee that this same dog had previously attacked someone and was classified as "vicious." Despite that, the dog was still allowed to participate in daycare. That raises serious concerns about their safety standards and decision-making. Animal Control opened an investigation and attempted to obtain video footage, but the owner--who is the only one with access to the surveillance system--has reportedly not cooperated. I also obtained records confirming the prior incident, which makes it clear this situation could have been prevented. On top of that, getting reimbursed for my dog's vet bill has been unnecessarily difficult. Instead of taking responsibility, the owner sent what appeared to be a non-disclosure agreement and has avoided accountability. Beyond the incident itself, the facility setup is also disappointing. There is no outdoor play area, no indoor grass or turf, and dogs are essentially left to relieve themselves on the floor. If your dog is house-trained, that training will likely be undone in this environment. Overall, this experience has been stressful and frustrating. Between the lack of transparency, questionable safety practices, and poor facility conditions, I cannot recommend this location to anyone who values their dog's well-being. Note: In response to the owner's reply below, I made multiple attempts to contact the owner by phone and in writing but did not receive a response until I sent a certified letter. In his reply, I felt my concerns were not addressed, and responsibility for the incident was not acknowledged. Additionally, I was unable to continue communication through the business's social media page after being blocked, which limited my ability to follow up regarding reimbursement for veterinary expenses related to the incident. Due to the lack of resolution, I am currently pursuing legal options. For those interested in reviewing public information, incident reports can be requested through Cobb County via an Open Records Request. These records are publicly available. I was able to obtain documentation of another incident at the same facility that occurred a few weeks prior to mine.

Per usual, I sent over medical records in advance of their appointments. Our dogs are up to date on all vaccines except the one for canine influenza. There is currently a nationwide back order of this vaccine. As a result, it is not available. Our vet wrote a letter confirming the shortage and indicating our dogs are low risk for the flu. Our vet said local groomers are aware and have accepted the letter/explanation. Everyone except Barking Hound Village, it seems. Barking Hound Village said, "it's beyond our control because the flu vaccine is company policy." I tried to reason by offering the policy was likely written before a nationwide back order. No response. I am beyond disappointed with Barking Hound Village's inability to reevaluate a policy that is impossible for dog owners to abide by. The health and safety of our animals is paramount to us. When the vet originally told me of the shortage, I was concerned and asked if canine flu was fatal. The vet said it was very rare and our dogs are low risk. For this reason, I do not recommend Barking Hound Village and am looking forward to finding and supporting a more reasonable business. I am attaching the screenshot of the cancellation conversation. You'll note it says reservation "request," but Danny confirmed my appointments six hours earlier.
