We love sending our dogs, Maverick and Mia, to puppy haven!! We have tried so many other boarding and daycare places where our dogs have almost always come back to us sick, and/or with pee and poop on them, and just not well taken care of. Puppy Haven may be more expensive than other places, but it's worth it and they've never gotten sick and always smell fresh from being wiped down when they come home. They also upload so many fun pictures of the dogs throughout the day on their instagram which makes my heart happy and comfortable that they're having a fun and not just locked up all day. The pleasant-sounding and seemingly highly scripted phone-based rep was curt at best. I asked multiple times for pricing for boarding and she began her scripted side of the conversation by asking for my email, phone, full name, and HOME ADDRESS. All of this needed to let me know how much it would cost?? I interrupted the scripted conversation to ask: "why do I need to provide all this personal information? Do I need to do so just to get an idea of pricing?" Her response was "all the information you provide is highly confidential..." I hung up at that point. So, I really wanted to leave a 5 star review for Puppy Haven, because they pretty much check all the boxes. However, I was quite shocked and perturbed when I realized that they charge $4 to actually feed your dog while they are in their care. I have used other doggy day cares and have never been charged. I was told that they "don't charge to feed them breakfast and dinner, but they do for lunch". I am still trying to figure out the rationale and logic behind this policy. This is a great place for doggie daycare and boarding. I love the fact that the dogs are not locked up in a kennel or a run and can roam free and mingle. I have a great pyrenees/husky mix that runs inside without looking back, that's how much she loves the daycare here. She is able to run around in a safe, clean area and meet new friends every time she's there. With all this rain, it's so difficult to find a park that isn't a mud field :( If you're busy fur parents like us, this is a great place to drop your pup off before work or while you run errands to ensure they spend more time playing and getting their energy out. When we pick up our girl and see the smile on her face, it makes my day every time! Even better is when we get home, she is exhausted and sleeps happily through the evening. When they opened the Smryna location near our new house we were so excited! The last time our dogs stayed there was May 2023. We called to book them for one night boarding for this coming weekend and learned that they have increased their prices by an insane amount (which affects those of us with multiple dogs the most). Below is what the pricing USED to be for a one night stay vs what it would be now. This is unbelievably ridiculous and we unfortunately will no longer be returning clients due to this change.
