Very honest people to do business with, I have 3 dogs one has very high anxiety and would have likely jumped the fence. They could have boarded my other 2 dogs and taken my money but the owner suggested it was in my dogs best interest and health to keep all 3 together. We recently moved to the area and were looking for a boarding facility for our dogs. Bow Wags was by far the friendliest (both for us and our fur babies), cleanest and offered the most playtime in the area. The staff are all so wonderful and our dogs were thrilled to return after their first visit. They post pictures very frequently on Facebook so we knew our dogs were having a great time. The service is horrible. My dog weighs all of 10 lbs and the last 3 times he has gone for a grooming it taking them 5 to 6 hours to groom him. I really think they put several dog before him and over book. After going there for the last 2 years today was the last time. The manager always want to change groomer to fix the problem obviously its not the groomer. Good luck. read more

Spent a week toiling over what doggie daycare to use after reading review after review on most places in marietta and smyrna and against my better judgment (note to self - always go with intuition) decided with Bow Wags as closest to residence. Took my dog in for 4 hour temperament test and he did fine although he came back with a cut on his ear and the 2 young guys there working said they weren't sure how he got it but they knew he didn't get bit but probably from outside on a ramp he was playing on. Supervised?? Not even noticed by staff until picked up 4 hours later when i pointed it out? The next day i dropped him off to give it another chance as selfishly i was excited to have found a place that was close and he seemed to like. The owner was there and actually asked about his ear so that made me feel better that it was actually noted. Picked up him later in afternoon and noticed his stomach area was red and scraped up. Took him back in and the 3 young people said they didn't know what it was. Who is running this show...teenagers? Does anyone even watch the animals and if they are getting into anything or bitten or uncomfortable? Both times i had to point out OBVIOUS marks on my animal. Needless to say we won't be back and will definitely heed intuition moving forward. read more

After relocating to Cobb county and adopting a long hair golden puppy, we did a lot of research on local options for dog training, grooming and boarding in Marietta. After attending Dogs 101 training, we visited local boarders, but none of them seemed to have the compassionate dedication to canines we were looking for in order to feel comfortable enough to trust watching our puppy. We decided to give Bow Wags a chance and took our puppy in for a grooming and a temperament test and to take a closer look at how they ran their business. After touring the facility and speaking with the owner, we we were impressed with the general layout of the building and how no dogs are kept enclosed in cold metal cages. The owner took the time to tell us about her dream of opening BowWags, her goals for the future of the facility, and a little about the regular visitors and dogs that have become a part of the BowWags family and how much they mean to her. I knew we had chosen the right place after this conversation. The facility is in a remodeled home, and each room is designed with a purpose. They keep the big and little dogs separate from playing together. For boarding, each pup has it's own "mini condo" with their own beds and toys from home, separated with high wooden picket fences and gates. In the playrooms that lead into the yard, the windows have vertical plastic sheeting (like in a walk-in freezer), that the dogs can walk right through to get out to the play yard. Outside the windows there are safety ramps attached so the pups can walk freely from inside to out as they please. And it seems that they do, in and out and back again, all day long! Our dog has long hair and having her brushed, washed and groomed regularly is essential both at home and professionally. We have taken her to BowWags to get groomed many times and they do a fantastic job. They have premium fun services available like hair dyes, "dog-silk" (like Biosilk for canines.) They have a natural drying or machine drying option. I thought being in a dryer would drive my dog crazy, but to my surprise, it seems to relax her. Because she is a puppy with a lot of energy, no matter how much exercise we give her, she still wants to play. Day care at BowWags came to the rescue. We drop her off at 7am and she can play until 5 or 6pm, and she's completely exhausted and smiling. Mission accomplished! Not only is she well socialized with other well behaved dogs, she even runs into some of her dog friends at Petsmart and it's the cutest thing ever to see them both get so excited. A year later, whenever we mention, "Hey, wanna go to BowWags?" Our dogs ears perk up and she runs towards the garage, ready to hop in the car. When we pull in their parking lot, it takes all my weight to hold her back from running full speed to their front door. Her excitement levels even at the thought of returning tell me everything I need to know about how she feels about BowWags. In my humble opinion, BowWags offers the best dog grooming and boarding in Marietta. If you are lucky enough to be able to take your dogs to BowWags you will see what I mean for yourself. read more

I just spoke to Lacey. She was super friendly and informative. Actually corrected some misinformation I'd been given previously about the daycare's neuter / spay policy with regards to smaller dogs and puppies. She also told me about places I could get coupons (both online and physically.) But once again, the pricing seemed sort of vague. I'm probably just having a ditzy moment. Here's the jist of what I learned. She said $20 - $30 package (for my 5 lb dog) includes shampoo, brushing, ear cleaning, nail cleaning, sanitary areas and paw pads trimmed. Not sure what makes it $20 versus $30. $10 and up - to add on teeth brushing to any package. Price determined by whether or not you have a difficult, squirmy dog. Never encountered this type of pricing - I learned a lot of new stuff today. $12 extra for nail grinding. OR for $20 - you can add on the Bow Wag package - which adds on teeth brushing, nail grind, specialty shampoo. Boarding / Doggy Daycare is $22 per day. I stopped by the facility to pick up an application today and it seemed nice and clean - though one area did have a very faint urine smell. read more

WORST PLACE and STAFFING in the WHOLE world!!!!!' I called made an appointment for my dog for mini grooming and then 2 days later called to change to a full grooming and I explained that my dog had a lot of tangled hair in his body.... We got there droped him, explained how we wanted his hair to be done, all was giod so far, left him there on a expectat to go bad later to pick him up, when suddenly received a call from them, saying that he did not have an appointment for full grooming with them and that whoever I spok to the second tume that I called didn't know what she was as doing, and that They were nit going to take carecof him because they had other appointments after him, and because he is big they needed me to go back and pick him up. they were not just talking to me and were being VERY VERY RUDE with me and even hung up the phone on me while I was talking, as if it was my falt that their employee didn't know what they were, and saying I had to go back like "right now" to get him. when I thought things were already bad, they went worse, I told them that All was working and that I would make a way to go back tonoick him up in about 1-1:30min, and then they told me that He coul saty there for free and that I had to pay a daily fee for LEAVING him there, like, REALLY??????? ARE YOU F..... SERIOUS??????? Your employee messed up with my day, you called me back with your rudeness and completely UNPROFESSIONAL , saying that is my falt that YOUR employee is completely untrained and that she didn't onow what she was doing and that I have to go back to get my dog and that I have to PAY????!!? My golden enjoys day care and I feel completely fortunate to have a place close by that I trust when she needs to be boarded! I took my puppy, Bo into bow wags to get his first grooming @ 2:30. The owner told me as I was walking out that it would be 30 to 45 minutes at the most for his grooming. So 45 minutes later I came back to pick Bo up, & two young guys came back and told me they had not even started working on him? & that it would be a few hours until he was done? 45 vs. a few hours? I don't get it. They weren't even busy at the time. What also made me a little upset was that I got no apology whatsoever. The two young teenagers acted like they could honestly care less. I had my dog in there today for her temperment test and thought it was a great business. I had a few questions about the fencing since the building is right by a main road but the owner addressed the questions and ensured me there was no way a dog could dig under the fence since it was concret under the wood. My little one was a little timid, she always is, but seemed to be enjoying herself when I left. We are home now and she isn't acting like anything bad happened and has moved on to napping, overall I think she had a great time. I do wish they had a camera system or something so that you can watch your dog while you are away but the owner does send you pictures of all the fun your dog is having! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The owner is very unprofessional. She yells at customers and does not care about customer service. If you call about any complaints her response is..."I have nothing for you." This is not a way to do a business. Our dogs are our children. I feel bad for her staff because some of her staff does seem to do a good job. I would never leave my dog in their care. My dog got groomed there on Saturday and he came back very lethargic. He would not even play with a new toy I got for him. He would walk a couple steps then have to sit his butt was hurting so bad. The owner said I should take him to the vet b/c nothing could have happened during the grooming. The lady that brought my dog to me said another dog was back there "pooping ALL OVER THE place." I took my 2 standard poodles for grooming. The groomer that I have used for the past 7 years is now at Bow Wags. I was greeted by Tina and Kimberly and both the dogs and I felt like I had been going there for years. The place was very clean and friendly. And as usual Kimberly our groomer did an excellent job. The dogs just love her. She does a great job!! I would recommend Bow Wags very highly. read more

I took my dog for a grooming here 4 times and three times she had to be recut because they did not follow my instructions. Yesterday when I got there they had lost my card so it was like starting over. Another recut. Today I noticed that her dew claws were not cut and had to take her back again. Same thing with my daughters dog. Worst groomers ever. Will not go back again. read more

Absolutely Amazing! Brax loves going here to play with the other dogs. Great environment with GREAT people. They remember my dog as soon as he comes in the door. They take pictures on Facebook to check on your dog! They always call if something goes wrong. I know my dog will be well taken care of while I am out of town. Today was my second and last time of entrusting my sweet puppy to Bow Wags I took my puppy Murphy to be groomed and requested that only an inch be taken off of his body. My puppy had no mats at all. I comb him thoroughly every night.The groomer actually commented on how mat free his coat was.The groomer told me that he should be ready to be picked up in two hours. Three hours later, I still had not heard from Bow Wags. I called and got voicemail so I left a message that I was checking on Murphy and to call me back.. I waited and got no call back so I drove to Bow Wags. Upon arriving at Bow Wags, I was told that Murphy was on the grooming table and it would be another 10 minutes or so. Over 3 1/2 hours after the initial drop off, the groomer, Kimberly, brought Murphy to me and said "He did really well" I am glad that Murphy did well and I am glad that the groomer did not cut off his ear, based on the inept job that she did on him. It was very obvious that the groomer had used clippers on him rather than scissor cutting which would have been fine if she had known how to get the results I requested with the clippers, but it was apparent that she did not know how to accomplish that. I had requested that one inch be taken off of his coat. She took THREE. His left hip has a bare spot where apparently she was using a shorter blade. Murphy is almost 6 months old. I got him when he was 3 months old. The "cut" she gave him made his fur shorter than it was at 3 months. I am FURIOUS both with how inept she was.and also how flippant she was about having cut his fur SO SHORT. I told her that she had cut his hair MUCH SHORTER than I had requested. Her response was "I'll make a note on your card that you like his fur longer" My thoughts were "Don't bother. He will NEVER be back!" I told her when I dropped him off that I wanted only one inch taken off and wanted to keep his fur long. She did not listen to me at all. Another reviewer had mentioned that the groomers at Bow Wags did not give the cut that she requested. I should have heeded her warning. My dog stayed at bow wags last week. When I picked her up a week later she was weak, lethargic, dehydrated and her paws where injured. After asking what had happened to her paws the owner said "oh I cut her nails to short and they were bleeding so we applied medication." Tina the owner never called to tell me. My dog is from Michigan and unfortunately I boarded her during high pollen season. After taking my dog to the vet they explained that she had an allergic reaction to the pollen, she was left outside all the time in a small rocks ground which added to the paw injury. My dog could not stop licking her injured paws. Tina also said that my dog injured her paws trying to get out of the picket fence areas where the dogs sleep. If at anytime Tina would have called me I would have tried to think of a resolution, instead of having my dog so listless and sick when I picked her up. Bow wags does not have enough space and I would not recommend this establishment to my worst enemy! I am very disappointed in the service my dog received! This owner Tina just send me a FB message that I am saying these things because I did not want to pay my bill, $35 per night is the national going rate... I am only complaining about the poor service my dog received. How can you be rude to me I am the paying customer! read more

Bow Wags is awesome!! I typically dont write reviews but since it is a fairly new business figured I'd spread the good news. I took my puppy there after going to another groomer that complained about how bad my dog was and how poor the grade of her hair was (apparently she has wirey poodle hair instead of the curly fluffy kind). First, Bow Wags has a wonderful day care set up so my dog was able to play her little heart out. After she played for a bit then she went for grooming, well she was so tired she had no choice but to sit still :). The owner said she was a good girl and NOTHING was wrong with her hair. She was even kind enough to send a video of my dog playing. They know what they are doing and they really seem to love ALL of the dogs!! My dog will be back for daycare and grooming. If you live in the area (or even if you don't) - I highly recommend Bow Wags to all dog owners!!! read more
