I really hate to write this review, only because I've been taking my dogs here for a while and never had any issues up until last week. My husband picked up our 2 dogs. When they got home I "checked" their new cuts. I immediately noticed a cut on one of my dogs. I understand dogs move and accidents my happen but Don Silvestre failed to tell us it occurred. The cut was about 1 inch long and appeared to have been "glued" to stop the bleeding. Again, nothing was said to us. My communication with Don Silvestre is via text and when I sent him pics and a message about what I found, I received no response. I am extremely disappointed at the lack of communication. I am not mad that it happened I'm mad that he didn't tell me it happened. read more

Against my better judgement, I walked in to make an appointment because they don't respond to message. I didn't ask for an urgent appointment or one for next month, just the next available appointment. The lady at the counter, by the name of Ilusión, offered to take my dog in right then but I didn't have my dog with me. So I go home, pick him up and bring him in. Another lady is at the counter now, offers me an Owner & Registration form to sign, pictured here. We review prices and was told it would be a while since he is considered a walk-in but I'd be notified 15 min prior to him being ready. As a first time customer, I figured a while might be 2-3 hours. I leave him and call after 3 hours and again was told they would call me 15 prior to him being ready and he'd been washed and pre-shaven already. I wait 2 more hours just before their business hours are over and he's still not ready. A total of 5 hours waiting and business hours are over when I decide to pick him up in whatever condition he is in. I get my clean dog with a choppy cut and a lame excuse for a shitty job. "You should have made an appointment, just like you do at the doctors office." THAT'S WHAT I WANTED TO BEGIN WITH! I still had to pay but at least I got my dog back, unlike another customer who's dog got out of their own facilities and wondered through Paramount for days. Bottom line, this place runs in a unprofessional manner, without full disclosure of their practices and upmost disregard for pets and owners needs. Can't image what my dog went through caged for 5 hours. To top it all off, I get a text message with an appointment time for the same day, for a time they aren't even open for business anymore. I would never ever take my dog back I rather drive 1 hr and 30 to take my poor dahlia to her old groomers. They mess up my poor dogs hair. She had beautiful long ears and long tail. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE !!! The guy here is abusive and has no love for dogs at all ! He left my dog so irritated from his skin when I brought him to get groomed here for the first time. Apparently he didn't clean his clippers. He left my dog with pain and no sleep for two weeks. Also I had to take him to the hospital and spend near $900 and didn't help me out with nothing ! He told me it wasn't his fault that my dog was delicate. Also this was my dogs second time I got him groomed and the first time I got him groomed he didn't get irritated because the girl who did his grooming did a good job. I have had the worst experience with this place. I wanted to give this place a chance. I called and he told me i could come and when i showed up he said no more and i needed an appointment. So i made an appointment a week in advance and when i show up when at the time he said today, no one is there. ***Pet owners BEWARE*** This was a grooming nightmare! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I took my pet here for a routine grooming and 4 hours later I get a phone call that they could no longer finish my dogs grooming and that I needed to pick her up right away. when I tried to ask what had happened, they said that her skin was too sensitive and they couldn't finish the hair cut. I was a little confused by this because I have had my dog groomed multiple times and have never had a groomer tell me that her skin was too sensitive to cut. At no point over the phone did they tell me what kind of condition my dog was in, they just tried to play it off like it wasn't that bad. To my surprise when I get there to pick her up, I found my dog with an unfinished hair cut, lacerations all over her body, and bleeding very badly. The ladies handed her to me in a towel because she was bleeding so much and they even had the nerve to tell me that it was all my fault that this had happened and that I must not ever wash my dog if her skin was that sensitive. I wash my dog every two weeks because she is an inside dog, but I did not want to argue with them because I knew my dog needed help fast and I was in shock. The ladies charged me $46 dollars for "just the bath" that they gave her, but that is a very expensive bath If you ask me. I ended up having to take my dog to an emergency hospital because it was 7:00pm on a Saturday and she was going into shock (shaking and had a fever) from the pain. The animal hospital let me know that she had a bacterial infection that she received from unsanitary conditions (cutting tools and bath water) at Furryland called post grooming furunculosis. After taking my pet to the hospital I called Furryland to try to understand what had happened and the lady who answered the phone was completely rude, refused to give me the name of the person who had cut my dogs hair, and hung up on me. I called again to explain the diagnosis to her and was even willing to bring the hospital paper work which proved I was right but she still refused to except blame and hung up on me again. Not once have they ever even called to check if my dog was okay. Aside from the very expensive medical bill, my dog is still in a lot of pain, and is on a ton of medication. I am sharing this story in hopes that you can avoid this problem. I never thought something like this could happen from a simple hair cut. If you care about your pet please do not bring them here! read more

Went here once last minute and regrettably paid way too much for subpar service. My dogs have double coats and take a little longer to dry. But why were my dogs damp smelling like wet dog. I have never taken them to a groomers that allowed them to come out damp and not smelling beautiful. The first few times I took my dog to get groomed were amazing, they did a fantastic job on leaving my dog looking very handsome, the lady was very nice and the service was good, I would've left a 5 star review if it wasn't for the 4th time I took him, it was a man working the shop and not the lady I knew, I still got my dog groomed because 1. It was the middle of summer and he was looking like a bath loofah 2.The man was still a "professional" so I thought. Later in the day I pick him up and bring him home without taking a closer look because the way his hair was cut made him look like he had a mustache and that was very distracting when I get home and bring him to the kids, my son points out a lot of red spots and a cut mark signifying the man didn't use the blade properly and injured my dog, I didn't realize but he was trembling a lot and he had his tail was down, this was heart breaking to see, also he did something when he came home that he had never done before when he was eating his dog food and I tried to pet him and he bit me :( he bit me in the arm he had never done that before, he was very stressed out, I am never going there again, they broke and hurt my dog, do not go there, or if you see the man I'm talking about working there that day you want to take your little fur ball to get his monthly grooming wait for one of the ladies to do it or don't go at all. read more

First time taking my dog here. My mom called to make an appointment and they told her she was completely open at the moment. It's about a 5 minute drive from my house so my mom took him right away. He got there at 2:00p.m. And they close at 6:00. It was about 5:45 so my mom called to see if Rex was ready. She said it would be about 15-20 more minutes until he was ready. They finally went at 6:00 because she never called. When they got there, they still had to wait 10 minutes for the pup to be ready. He was there over four hours. Of all the places he's ever been to, he has never been anywhere 4 hours. I don't understand why she couldn't just say she was booked and we would have made an appointment so he wouldn't be there so long. When they picked him up she said we should have made an appointment ... um.. that's what we tried to do but they told us to take him then! We tried this place out because it's super close to home but I'll be taking him back to his usual place. His haircut is cute tho. No complaints there but I like to have good communication with my dogs groomer. read more

I've taken my dog to this place several times. At first wheN the 2 ladies worked there. First tIme everything went fine seconD time all they had was complaints about my dog (he's old and blind from one eye which makes him irritable, I told them) all he needs is a shave (no haircut style) I stopped going till I heard from a neighbor that either they had a new owner or there was a change in staff. Here comes the gentleman. As many other reviews first time he was a doll, super nice and friendly , good price (cheaper than before I paid the women $60 for my dog and he only charged $40) this second time I took my dog when we went to go pick him up this guy had the music blasting, some loud noice (not sure if it was a large fan or dryer) and the dogs were all scared. As he was ringing me up they started barking and howling and I front of me he screamed for them to shut it (in Spanish) and hit one of the cages with a Maltiipoodle in it. I told him he should lower the music, that they were scarred and all he said was "nah están bien" (they're all right) when I brought my por dog home he is acting very scared (trembling and rattled, super attached to me, very whinny) and he was stuck to his water bowl for almost 4 minutes (he wasn't given any water nor food (he was there almost 5 hours). I will NEVER take my dog there. They're cruel and have no love for animals and I will be looking to file a formal complaint read more

Took our dog when they opened at 10am on a Saturday. We called ahead to ask if we needed to make an appointment or if we could just walk in, they stated that we could walk in np, that was a big mistake. When we arrived they were already grooming one dog and had one more waiting. We don't live far so we figured we could go home for a few then pick up our dog. But before anything, they make you sign all these waivers to protect themselves if they cut the dog, oh and if your dog misbehaves there's an extra charge, and if they can't handle your dog and they need an extra person to groom your dog that's an additional charge, and if they basically get fed up with your dog they'll call you to pick up your dog immediately and not groom them. We figured the price and the distance let's give them a shot. The receptionist advised us that it would be a few hours, no later than 12-1pm. We didn't receive a text from then until 7pm, this was past there closing time, keep in mind. If they had been upfront that they were going to keep my dog that entire time I didn't mind dropping him off later in the day rather than it sitting in the cage all day. took my dog in on 5/13/17 on a saturday. first time here, i would always take my dog to a grommers in lynwood. decided to give this place a try since its closer to my house. bad bad ,bad idea bringing my dog here. so i dropped her off around 10 am. the lady who was there went over some stuff with me since it was my first time there. she told me since i was a walk-in it was going to take a while. i get a phone call around 4pm , me thinking my dog is ready for pick up. not the case. they called me to tell me that someone came to pick up thier dog and the gentleman left the door open and my dog escaped!!!!!! i was in shocked i had no words! the owner gave me three different stories of how my dog got out, i did not understand not one, they did not make sense. so i get to the place and the assistant was trying to tell me what happened and honestly i did not understand her! the owner was trying to catch her but they couldnt. so i went around the nieghborhood looking for my dog but no luck. its like when you take your kid to a daycare and he opens the door and leaves, and they tell you. "why didnt you tell us you kid opens doors"? like really??? your suppose to be watching my kid!!! same thing with my dog. i left her under the owners supervison. i decided to go home so i called the owner and i told her what are you going to do now? she had the audacity to tell me that it has my fault because i didnt tell her the way my dog was! of course she was not going to take blame for it. she is so unprofessional. she "tried" to help me by telling me to send her pictures of my dog because she was going to post up flyers. i told her that i was not feeling well because im pregnant. that i was going to send her pictures on monday. well monday came i was calling her and calling her with no answer. i checked the hours she was open and guess what she is closed on mondays! she could have told me that when we were talking on saturday but she didnt. i had all my family looking for my dog on saturday evening, on sunday all day and on monday. mind you she had no collar. so i emailed her my dog pictures so she can put flyers and 5 days later she emailed me and said thank you. (well that was kind of nice of her) so finally on monday after i got home from work i went for another round to look for her and i finally found her. roaming around the streets of paramount. i was so happy to find her, i really thought she had got ran over. mind you, till this day the owner has not called me to check on me or anything. she is so pathetic,unprofessional and super rude. also when i found my dog she was not even groomed! i could have got a lawyer and taken her to court but honestly i dont have the time or the money for that. be careful when taking your animals to this place and make sure you tell the owner the way your dog is because if you dont the owner will blame you for it!!! if yelp had a zero star thats what i would rate her as! so dissapointed with the service! will never ever bring her any of my dogs! *** beare of this place and the owner** read more
