We came here with our friends and family last week and fell in love with this spot. The location is perfect (on 116 just outside Sebastapol in Sonoma County) and the property itself is charming. I'm already a big fan of the pinots coming out of that area so it was no surprise that I very much enjoyed what they were pouring that day (2012 Pinot, Reserve Pinot, 2011 Zinfandel). I should also mention here that the customer service was genuinely helpful and friendly - which I usually find to be the case with smaller cellars. The cherry on top (IMHO) is the outdoor space. We attended an event here and spent several hours in the picnic area near the bocce ball court... in January! Don't get me wrong, it was cold but they had their little fireplace going and a quaint tasting bar set up - and good music. The owner's wife spent her time introducing the wine to us. The bf tried the red's, I tried the whites. It was a FREE tasting. She was not pretentious but very friendly. I learned a few things about wine from her. We bought a gold winner red. I think it was ~$30. Right off the highway so you will not miss it. They only produce 1000 cases a year. read more

We stopped into Furthermore Wines on our way back from camping in Russian River. We met a couple during a hike in Jenner who knows the owners, and recommended it! We were greeted by Christel and Pat, the tasting room managers, who were gracious in their time, information and pours during our tasting. $20 for 5-6 wines, depending on what they have open. Fee waived if you buy two bottles (which we did, to bring home!) If you're a fan of pinots, this will delight you. The tasting room is quaint, and the grounds are very cute with bocce ball and bag toss, in addition to large chairs. Great spot for an afternoon tasting. read more

We have a fantastic and memorable time at Furthermore last Friday when Adam Lieb played there. Cindi, Bob, and Alex took wonderful care of our group! This hidden gem of a winery is nestled just off the road and boasts an incredible pinot selection. The all pinot noir tasting blew me away as a wine country native. Our server, Greg, was friendly and clearly incredibly well versed in both the history of the winery and the subtleties of the various wines. The atmosphere of their outdoor tasting area is wonderfully, and was perfectly shady despite the hot summer day. I will be returning to this winery the next time I have friends in the area looking to go somewhere new! 5 stars read more

Graton Ridge has a apple sparkling port that they can't label yet because the ABC can't decide how to classify it. They taste it there & it has a super strong aroma of, yeah, you guessed it, apple. It wasn't my favorite, but I could see how it could be used in making other drinks or with a dessert. It was really busy but we were entertained by our driver, David (I highly recommend Vine Rover tours). Also, the lady next to me kept hitting me with her way to long of hair as she 'flipped & flirted' with her tasting companion. That was annoying, but no fault of the winery. Furthermore we waited and will not go here forevermore. Not really kid friendly at least not our kids. Hate to give a bad rev but we went in to order 1 tasting. There were maybe 3-4 other groups outside. Owner I think apologized for us waiting a minute in the check in area then said go sit down and he'll come out with water and glasses for the tasting. More than 20 minutes later we'd seen him and his employee out there for all other tables, but we still haven't gotten glasses or water. Luckily the bocce court occupied our older kid. I lurked around because we were on the other side of the tree to make sure he could see us there as he served another table. No eye contact was made over a 3 minute period and I am not a subtle person. I know a single wine tasting isn't lucrative for them and we had kids. But I felt very unwelcome. This was our second time around visiting Furthermore/Graton Ridge after just happening upon it the first time. Yes I know what you're thinking..."happened upon" in wine country? Shocker! No really, we had an hour to spare before meeting some friends and we decided to give it a shot. Rebecca was brilliant managing the tasting room and did it with flare and a hint of sassiness which we loved. Oh yeah the wines....all very delicious, very drinkable and very much worth the price. We ended up joining their club which was very reasonable! When we just recently returned last month Rebecca recognized us and we continued our banter right where we left off...and yes, we tasted delicious wines as well! The tasting room at Graton Ridge feels like an office. There are white walls, a long counter, no view, and it doesn't have much in the way of ambiance. Tasting rooms don't have to be fancy and don't have to be out in nature, but it detracts from the experience when your environment is cool and clinical. Perhaps more importantly, we were disappointed by the wines - we got a red that tasted sour. We were especially excited to try the apple port since it's so unique, but none of us could drink it. After a small sip we had to pour it out. I guess different palates is what makes the world go 'round! read more

Bob was great we had some of the best Pinot I've ever had. Their is a beautiful sequoia gigantism in the middle of the tasting area and even though it was 100 f we never felt hot with the nice breeze and the shade from the tree. read more

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience at Furthermore Wines. Unlike other vineyards I'd visited, they offered two unique tasting menus, a Sonoma Spring menu and a Pinot Noir menu, that each offered 5 wines to try. We each had one of the tastings and they were both incredible! The outdoor tasting room is beneath a gorgeous Sequoia tree that is right next to where they grow the Chardonnay and Pinot grapes. All of the staff, particularly Greg, were incredibly kind and allowed us to try other off menu wines to complete our experience. We will definitely going back whenever we're in the area! read more

Nice small producer. We stopped and tasted and played Bocce. The Pinot Noir was good with some berries aromas and a int of oak, coffee and maybe some pepper. A former apple orchard, they also get some local apples and make an apple port that many seem to enjoy. The chardonnay had some pear and pineapple flavors. What I DID love: The table outside with fresh veggies, firewood, and a few other things for purchase on the "honor system", just put your $$ in the jar, and take what you need. You just don't see that anymore, and it was charming. Cute gift shop. Let me start by saying I'm NOT a wine "professional". I love wine, but my technical terms are still, "Yummy!", and "Oh, that's good"....... I didn't say either at this rushed tasting. What I did NOT love: We felt rushed. Absolutely RUSHED! Pours were fast, and impersonal. We made our appointment over a month ago, with the general manager, and she knew that we were all in the wine industry, with many levels of knowledge. (Apparently this information was not passed on to the tasting room) When a friend to my left asked our server if the Chardonnay was "completely dry", the server said, "what do you mean by completely dry?" Friend: "what I mean is, is there any RS in this wine?" Get ready.......Employee: "well, it DID go through malolactic! Oh, does RS mean residual sugar?" If your employee, pouring wine at your tasting room doesn't know the difference between "going through malolactic", and residual sugar, you have a problem. read more

Great tasting here this past weekend. The people in the tasting room were so nice and hospitable. I have to say that their Zin was the best thing we tasted all day! I definitely snagged a bottle! Something they do that's pretty special is the apple port-simply amazing! We couldn't stop talking about it on the drive back to SF. It's sooooo good and there's so much you can do with it. Was great w/the blue cheese and apparently it's also good with ice cream. Overall a great experience. I would highly recommend. We went back for a visit and learned of all the changes, not for the better. The beautiful homey mural that we used often a a backdrop was painted over and some very COLD art was placed. That homey friendly feeling is just gone along with the Winery dog Bella. Sad, but true. The few Graton wines that remain on the menu have escalated in price significantly. The Furthemore wines are just so-so. and who said the wine prices were $$, should be $$$$ averaging $45 a bottle except for the small dessert wines. read more

I went here with my girlfriend to kickoff a birthday weekend in Sebastopol, and couldn't have been more impressed with the wine, service and people working here. I'd recommend it over anywhere else to visit in Sebastopol. We'd had the morning from hell in which we waited for 2 hours in line to pickup our rental car in SF (at a rental car service which shall not be named, but will be getting its own review published if Yelp approves the language) and got stuck in terrible traffic. We'd reserved a picnic table/tasting here for like 11am and didn't get there until after 3. During all this we called Graton Ridge a couple times letting them know we were going to be pretty late, and they were extremely accommodating knowing what we were going through. They said no worries, we'll be ready whenever you can get here. When we walked in, they knew from the look on our faces that we were the couple with the rough morning needing a few gallons of wine, and were good sports as we vented. All three people there were so nice. They let us do some barrel tasting, gave me some vinegar on the house for my bday (very very good) and had a picnic table ready to go for us out by the bocce ball court once we were done tasting. I can't say enough how nice everybody was, and if they're reading this thank you for turning our terrible morning into a great birthday weekend! If you have to try one thing, try the apple port. read more

What a find! We were on our way back to San Fran, and decided to stop at this one last vineyard. We were so glad we did! Cindi Howley was the "hostess with the mostess". We settled into a comfortable living room area and tasted fabulous pinot noirs while learning about Furthermore Wines, and enjoying the cheese plates and chocolates. I joined the wine club, bought a bunch of bottles, a shirt, and chocolates. We even made a point of going at the local market where the cheese plate items came from and bought everything that had been on the plate. We spent the rest of the week prolonging our experience, by serving ourselves the same food, chocolate, and wines we had at Furthermore. read more

Excellent customer service, very knowledgable staff, clean and tidy tasting room with absolutely fantastic wines. Thier Chardonay is phenomenal and crisp (I usually hate chard, but this one is to die for) as well as every other one of their wines. Their 2010 Zin was a Double Gold Medal winner and is as smooth as silk and extremely complex. The overall atmosphere, wine, staff, and vibe is fantastic.
