I first came by this place because they teamed up with body Rok and did a mat Pilates class in their tasting room. After the class we were awarded a glass of rosé and a goodie bag with a free tasting for a future visit. I ended up going today to do the full tasting and it was great. Very intimate setting. The decor is so tasteful, the music playlist was spot on and we had a great time with tasting associate. We tasted their rosé, Chardonnay, Pinot, and Syrah. All we super light and flavorful from the Sonoma coast, one of my favorite regions and we ended up leaving with a bottle of the Syrah. We will definitely be back!

Red Car is very pricey & the wines are not complex. Each wine, even the whites have a similar style and average taste. Complex wines should excite all of your senses with a great finish, and Red Car falls short. They get a 3 because they offer a comfortable tasting room & the staff are friendly. You could obtain similarly average wine at Grocery Outlet for a far less price than Red Car.

Stopped in on a whim and were blown away by how amazing their pinots are as well as the rest of the wines we tasted!! I mentioned the Pinots first because I have been pretty Pinot-ed out lately! But they switched me back on! The man who helped us was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed chatting with him while enjoying their great wines! We weren't planning on adding anymore clubs but couldn't resist and had to join because the wines are fabulous! Even during the covid era they made us feel at home/welcome while practicing social distancing and sharing their winery story with us! Definitely a must try if you're in the area!

Red Car Wine Co. is burgeoning winemaker in the far nether regions in the heart of Sonoma County, their tasting room is located near Graton, off the corner of Graton Road and the Gravenstein Highway. They started in Santa Barbara and they specialize in Pinots, so they decided to relocate up here, thanks to the high quality fruit and cool climate personality of the Sonoma Coast. Since their origins are Southern Californian, the name of the winery is a tribute to the electric trolley cars that ran throughout Los Angeles from the late 19th century through the early 1960's. These "red cars" provided transportation in a romanticized time and place. Their goal is to make their wines that are similarly "timeless and transportive," whatever that is supposed to mean. I would say they have succeeded by showcasing their wines that are lean and intentionally feminine with richer textures and body. I came on a Sunday afternoon with a friend who became a member after doing a little research on the undiscovered wines of Sonoma County and he wanted to pick up his quarterly reserves and also wanted me to sample on their prized daily tastings which normally would be 20 dollars a person or waived with not a one but two bottle purchase. So they don't play around here at Red Car and their tasting are in fact the real deal. Tastings included selections of Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and their prized Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir and Syrah. Red Car sources their fruit from the extraordinarily cool western edge of the Sonoma Coast, which includes its Estate Vineyard located just above Fort Ross three miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. It's the perfect place to grow a unique type of grape and in their wines I noticed hints of tangerines, pomegranate, raspberries, and huckleberries. I really loved our final wine tasting, the Syrah, with its light peppery taste and little hints of violet. It shows off the way how they grow their grapes at Red Car is really taken into consideration, with "big legs" with a lot of body and tannins coming from the skin of the grapes. The goal at Red Car Wine Co. is to offer balance and purity while expressing fruit and the terroir from which the grapes are grown in. I really loved their hip modern tasting room where you could sit outside or inside their huge room and shop for fine jewelry and eclectic home décor items while you sip and learn more about the West Sonoma Coast. Their tasting room associates are top notch as it wasn't busy and as we sat in the comfy garden chairs outside, they made sure we were constantly served each wine dutifully. Red Car Wine Co. is a hidden gem among vast wineries of the Russian River Valley where they source their grapes, make great wine and market it in an inventive, original way that's perfect for connoisseurs and amateur wine lovers alike.

Rose Rose Rose! Usually Rose doesn't mean fantastic, quality wine but Red Car defies this! The rose is killer, and it's nice to taste a cab every once in awhile in this area. Heidi, Charlie, and Rick are very kind and knowledgeable. My favorite neighborhood spot to drop in at a tasting for!

Very enjoyable tasting experience on the patio. The tasting room is airy and feels like something out of Sunset magazine. Really nice, old world-style wines. The estate Chardonnay is wonderful. Sadly a bit out of my price range! I walked out with some Rosé (which I can purchase at my local wine store) and didn't forget to write on the bathroom wall before I left!

We loved Miss Callahan! She was so kind and sweet.

Overall: Balletic, Tasteful and Charming. Wines are well-balanced, elegant, restrained and lovely. I could have spent my entire day here happy as a clam. Chic, glamorous tasting room ... (black furry shag tasting chairs! interesting etsy-inspired knick-knacks with a vintage, coachella vibe!) Erin Callahan ... (our tasting server was so warm, bubbly and friendly (see photo series) and we all agreed we wanted her to be our friend. Truly a gem.) Rosé! Olé! ... The wine was gorgeous and I am looking forward to my wine shipments. I can't wait to open up my Spring showstopper: a tall, lithe magnum of rosé for picnics all summer long. Get yourself to Red Car immediately.

This business does not care about it's customers and is so impossible to reach it's almost comical…read more I was a long-term customer of Fog Crest. In 2024 we received a shipment of wine where all the wine in the shipment was broken. In typical situations, wineries offer replacement of broken bottles, but Fog Crest was impossible to reach in spite of (literally) 50 phone calls and emails. Since I couldn't reach them, I canceled my subscription to their wine club. Flash forward a few months, they charge me another ~$500 on my credit card for wine, but never ship me any wine (in spite of the fact that I had already canceled online). Again, dozens of calls and emails, no answer and no response. Still trying. A few months after that, they charge me ANOTHER ~$500 on my credit card for wine, but don't ship that wine to me either. After probably 100 calls and emails, I finally talk to the wine club coordinator on the phone. She of course acknowledges my dozens of messages, and acknowledges my situation. She says she will replace the wine that was broken and figure out why they've been charging me for wine I haven't been receiving and make it right. But that she can't talk right now and she'd call me back with more information. That was a month ago. I've now called again dozens of times, and emailed. No response. Called and emailed the owner, no response. This is borderline criminal: $1,500 in charges for undelivered product, a non-existent customer service experience, and an online system so archaic that it doesn't process your cancelation and continues to charge you for product.

Zero Accountability and Terrible Customer Service - Avoid Fog Crest!…read more I'm absolutely appalled by my experience with Fog Crest Winery. We joined their wine club in 2023 and was charged $420 all of 2024/25 for wine that they NEVER shipped. When I called to inquire about where the wine was, I was met with complete silence--multiple calls and messages went unanswered. After finally getting a call back, the person said they only called me back because "she saw we had called a lot in one day." That was the first red flag. She promised to credit my account and look into another charge that had been applied. It's been SEVEN days since that conversation, and STILL no credit, no updates, and no resolution. I've followed up with multiple calls, messages, and emails... NOTHING. At this point, it's clear that they don't care about their customers. I highly recommend staying far away from Fog Crest if you value your time and money. Total waste of both

They were making pizza in their own pizza oven today- however for a 10 inch pizza I thought $22 was a little bit much. There are definitely a nice variety of Pinot's offered. However, I was in the mood for something chilled and I opted for their Rose of Pinot. I was pleased with the size of the pour but not sure I would order that variety again. I do appreciate that you can bring your own snacks there

We've heard a lot of stellar reviews for Iron Horse, so we were underwhelmed by our experience. To start, we checked in at the front, got a glass of sparkling to start, and was told to wait for everyone joining us to get here. We waited for a few minutes. Our host ended up forgetting us and started walking off with the other party when they finally showed up, and the guy we checked in with had to go tell him we were part of his group. I enjoyed the charcuterie box that comes with the tasting, albeit there was some moldy bits here and there. We got the harvest magnum experience ($90/person). They offer more affordable experiences as well. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with any of the wines. I did enjoy the seating experience, the charcuterie box, and the mini impromptu tour everyone was given of the production. The wine itself was underwhelming for the price and as nothing stood out to us, we finished our tasting and didn't grab anything to go.
