I've been here a few times and tried several of their drinks such as the taro cream tea, jasmine milk tea, and several others that didn't leave an impression. I have to say though that a tip to try their iced caramel macchiato didn't disappoint. It's pretty good and a nice alternative to StarBucks. Coffee taste is not that strong but the overall taste is good with the creamy/sugary sweetness at the top. Plus, you can add sinkers to this cup of coffee which is a nice little twist to your regular cup of joe. So I am a student, I usually come here to study a lot literally six out of seven days a week from 12- close and always order drinks and tip $3 with every drink... and because I have tests online, I reserve their room to take my test weekly...(their general rule is that you have to buy something in order to reserve the room two hours per person/drink) but last week when I reserved ,usually I buy my drink first before entering the room but this time- the one time I didn't out of 2 months... I decided to set up my laptop, first before going back out and to buy my usual drink.... And before I could even finish setting up my laptop- I don't know who it was(they don't usually work day to day), but I think it was the manager that ran in the room and badgered me about buying a drink first before using the room (before i could finish setting up my laptop)....I told her that I was a regular and coming all the time, so yeah, I know the rule and I was going to buy a drink.... Idk if it's just me, but I just found it kind of rude bc I don't want to say it but i am regular so yeah, I know the rule I wasn't expecting to be an exception to the rule. I just wanted to put my stuff down first and set up but at the end of the day I ended up, brushing it off to the side. Today I came back and I reserved my room for my test and made sure that I bought my drink first. Then halfway through my 4hr reservation, they come in to tell me that they overlooked a reservation before mine that started in the middle of my reservation and asked me to leave the room(as politely as you possibly could). I was very irritated but I was just glad that I didn't start my test just yet... And bc I've been here literally every day for 11hrs a day I've seen it all from not really caring about a leaky roof when it rains, to roaches and spiders...to the larger amount of dust everywhere especially on their chandeliers that have literal parts hanging by thread that can it somebody in the head... to a gross looking fountain... to outlet that are place to high or by a fountain that leaks/splashes out...to when they were sweeping around the tables 20 minutes to close another group of people asked if they were in her way and she literally straight up said yes the group got up and left. I feel as though they don't appreciate their customers or tips at all... I'm not expecting special treatment bc I used to consider myself a regular that tips every time ,but I was expecting like a hey give her like 5/10mins and then I'll ask if she would like me to place an order for her...or let me actually look at todays reservations so we don't x2 book-or- bc we did overbook lets give a free cookie or something. So I know I'm just one customer and saying imma find a another coffee shop to go to wont make much of a difference to this place... ,but I am gonna find another shop that actually even slightly appreciates my daily drink/tip and if I do come back to met other lab partners I won't tip anymore or even buy if I can avoid it. I was a regular here at fusion! The scenery is very beautiful and modern! I even recognize the chairs from an old book I once read in highschool! My only problem with fusion is that the drinks taste water downed! And the customer service is horrible! Last year- the service was pretty amazing! And they were friendly and always had bright smiles! Now a days- the service is just sad. I use to work at a tea house place and the tapioca gets hard when it is days old- when the tapioca is chewy and soft that means it's fresh. At fusion it seems they always serve days old tapioca instead of throwing it out like their suppose too. Also from my previous experience at working at a tea house place: It seems that the tea here is artificial and they probably use jellies to make the beverages. I went to there today & IT was NOT open!! The sign clearly says 10am. So I went next door to their restaurant that's under the same management and they had NO CLUE of when anyone was coming in. My boyfriend and I came here one night for our first time with some friends who recommended this place. First of all, I love boba and so does my bf (he even asks for extra boba in his drink) and I normally stick to Thai tea milk tea. I've been to a couple places where their Thai tea is not good but this place made it super good! It was out pretty fast too. Their menu had a lot to offer too ranging from smoothie, teas, and coffee. When we first walked in there was a bunch of people on their laptops/ studying and it was a cute and quiet ambience. Store hours say they open at 10. Depending on the worker, this may vary from 10:00 sharp to as late as 10:30! Very annoying and embarrasing when you plan a business meeting for four busy people and you are all stuck waiting outside in your car. I've been to this location since they just opened. I always get the black tea with milk cap and never ever have any problems with. It always need time to make the milk cap so I always call ahead so I don't have to wait. Until today I called and order exactly same drink and the girl told me that she doesn't know how to make it. This place has an over abundant amount of chandelier. Almost every inch of their ceiling is covered in sparkling light fixtures. The details on every decor leaves me fascinated. Every little section is decorated differently. It is very interesting to see the different types of chairs and tables they have. It's a good place to sit around and hang out with your friends. I always see groups of students meeting at this location to do homework I suppose. The people that work there exist to take and make your order and nothing else. Not a friendly or warm bunch. Now to the drinks... Unfortunately, the drinks did not impress me. Although it is good enough for the area since you will have to drive to Katy or Bellaire to get good variety of tea/coffee drinks. (there is a sign at the register that states "there is an extra charge for hot coffee" - ??). The place is really trendy and decorated with Victorian themed furniture. Very couture. The coffee drinks are very thick and super sweet. Loaded with a lot of heavy creams, syrups, & sugars. It tastes good, but its just a little too heavy for my taste. There is usually only 1 employee, whom will take about 4 orders before the they start actually preparing the drinks. So be prepared to sit and wait several minutes for your beverage. If you are looking for a place to just chill, with a nice environment, this is an excellent spot. But if you are just wanting to run in & out for a coffee/drink, there are many other places nearby that can accommodate you faster. read more

Update: When I went in today to get my usual iced coffee, the owner was there, noticed my name on the debit card transaction and remembered it from the review, and apologized for the miscommunication and offered 2 free drinks though I let him know I was more than happy to pay for them. Their machine was down completely due to a power issue the night before on the day of the post. The fact that my name stuck with him showed me he was really concerned with how his business is functioning and how it is perceived. He was such a nice person and the interaction was super pleasant. Even though I bought my drink, he insisted on giving me two free drinks for my next visit. Will continue going to these shops for my coffee. Usually a good spot. I'm the only costumer in the place and it's been about 30 minutes and still no drink. If you open at 10am, shouldn't all the machinery be up and working before you unlock the doors to let costumers in? I came in about 20 minutes after opening and they said the espresso machine isn't ready and would be just be 5 minutes a couple times over... but here I sit, still waiting... drink less. I've been here a couple times to grab drinks. It's a great place to hang out because it's spacious, and the decor is cheaply upscale without feeling pretentious. I will say that the drinks are very sweet, and I don't recall ever asking if the sugar level is adjustable; most boba shops do adjust sugar and ice though so I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. First and foremost I appreciate the hustle of the owners. I've been frequenting the original location down Fry road 5/6 years back since highschool. To see them grow is great. It shows the commitment. I always get the Jasmine Milk Tea with white boba. And it has been the same since I remmeber. The tea is more on the aromatic side and is light. I recommend going down a level of sugar or even two. It could be too sweet at times (for my standards). Their quality is top-notch in the Cypress srea.. This location is great for students but the WiFi could be shoddy sometimes. I noticed that the public Access WiFi is only 2.4Ghz. So I'm assuming it's a dual band router, which means that there are two channels. The router might also have a 5ghz channel as well. When there are too many people in store my laptop nor phone cannot even connect to WiFi. This has caused me to pack my bags and go study else where at times. Please fix the wifi or upgrade it. This location is next to a college and alot of students come here on the daily. read more

Free WiFi and super comfortable chairs are also a big plus here! Did I mention that it's not cramped up like other places? It's also so CLEAN and well maintained! But hey it's something different to all the boba places I usually go to. They have a wide variety of boba drinks and I just order milk tea with boba. They do have wifi so you can study and drink your boba with the fancy furniture, the fountain in the middle and the nice shiny chandelier. I have been a loyal customer of this place until today. My husband always buys us drinks while I wait in the car. Today, I went with my 3 year old to the Cypress location and my son was touching the plates and cups that are right by the entrance used as show pieces. I explained to him that we don't touch those and he stopped and was asking for a cookie that was at the counter in the jar. I didn't see the cashier, but out of fear of him starting to throw cups, I decided to give him a cookie and have him settle down on a chair. I saw a lady come right out saying "you need to pay for the cookie". I told her I'm having him settle first and I will order my drink and pay for the cookie then. I ordered Taro with tapioca with no ice. She told me it's extra charge for that. I have been going to Katy location and I don't think I pay extra for no ice. The cashier was very rude, making faces and when I told her about Katy location, she brought up why I took the cookie without asking her. I politely explained to her that if a 3 year old does not get what he wants right when he asks for it, your store will turn into a big mess and I was trying to avoid any damage happening to your place, especially considering how many delicate things you have right at the entrance. Also, the cookie jar was right there, so I thought it was self service. After dealing with her rude behavior, I insisted on speaking with a manager. The lady texted the manager and had him call. Guess what? He was 10X's worse. I explained to him how disrespectfully her staff treated me, he replied to me "your son is your problem". You do not say that to a woman that their child is a 'problem'. For your business my son is your customer and someone who is paying your bills; not a 'problem'. When I told him I will never come back to this place again and will make sure none of my friends do also, he says "you'll look like a 'dumbo' if you tell them that". He did not sound drunk or high, but I could not believe a manager would treat his customers so disrespectfully. I just left the place very disheartened being treated so badly. If you have children, you will know how it feels to have their child called a "problem". Please do not go to this business, as they don't appreciate the customers and their little ones. The americano coffee I ordered tasted decent enough and the prices were about what you'd expect. The young Vietnamese woman working had trouble answering my basic coffee questions (I asked politely and had to repeat myself) and she asked her co-worker with circular glasses to answer it, then the original employee got surly with me afterwards (even though I tried to make amends by dropping some money in the tip jar). I've lived abroad, so I know learning a second language isn't easy, but my issue was with her attitude after she didn't understand me and the 'tude started. This is my 4th time at this location. I have to say that the decor is very original and unique, but there service has some really bad problems. Today, as usual, we ordered 4 cups for 2 adult and 2 children. I ordered my favorite passion fruit black tea with lychee jelly and 25% sugar with no ice. When that girl brought out all our order , my passion fruit BLACK tea turn into GREEN tea. While I requested to change my BLACK tea back, the girl made an UNFRIENDLY attitude and made me a LIGHT black tea with half ICE. Moreover, It took total THREE attempts to fix from my original order. Now I enjoyed my favor passion fruit BLACK tea with Lychee jelly and NO ice. In addition, that girl told my husband, they charge EXTRA for ICE. The receipt did not have any break down price.
