Called in to book a pedicure for myself and my friend. The night before our appointment we received a confirmation phone call. Everything looked promising. The day of our appointment, We arrived on time... all the ladies were busy and there was no one at the front desk. The nail techs stared at us... and that's all.. no greetings or anything. After several "Excuse me" and eye stares ... 15mins passed our appointment time, we finally got one of the ladies to send a little reluctant boy to ask if we had an appointment, and to choose colours. After, waiting for several more mins... Now 38mins passed our appointment time. We were under the impression that they didn't care. My friend and I didn't want to waste anymore time, so we told them we were leaving. In which, we received an "OK " as their response. My impression on this place is not bad or good. But, if they cannot be bothered with booked appointments or Greetings.... why waste time coming here. read more

This place is terrible! The guy took no more than 25 minutes on my nails. He didn't even clean my nails at all! I told him that my nails were crooked and he filed them down and "fixed" them but they were still super crooked. I told him once again and he didn't fix them. All the nails are different lengths and somehow, the colours are different even though they're supposed to be the same. Terrible! Do not go here. Save your money!!! read more

I went here with my sister last October and I will never ever be back. There was another reviewer who had the same experience when she booked an appointment and they confirmed. My sister and I arrived on time, no one was at the desk and the techs just stared at us. I finally got a hold of someone and said we both had an appt and could we please be seated beside each other since we wanted to catch up. They said "maybe"...and guess how long my sister and I waited? 45 f***ing mins! The guy tech said it took so long because we wanted to be seated beside each other. So by that time we are just happy to be getting our nails done. The guy didn't clean my nails beforehand and just savagely started cutting them with a nail cutter. Fine fine whatever, I've been to cheap salons before. But what was so annoying was that my sister and I were happily chatting and he kept trying to talk to us and butt in the conversation. I worked into the convo that we hadn't seen each other in a long time and really just wanted to catch up... he didn't take the hint and kept commenting on whatever we were talking about. THEN when he was done my nails he takes off and I'm still in the chair beside my sister because her nails are still getting worked on. So the guy started sweeping the floor around me. And this part of seriously so rude. I guess he wanted to sweep under my chair and wanted me to move, so without saying a word, he just starts kicking the leg of the chair repeatedly with his foot!!! I roll my eyes and take the hint but honestly if you can't be bothered to even ask me with words, how on earth do you have a job in the service industry? WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! read more

This place is pretty darn great. I've been to many nail places over the years, and its not often you find a place as clean as this one! They give you the tools they use to bring back for next time too! I already had rounded acrylic nails. John cleaned up the previous job and applied black sparkle powder french manicure style acrylics. I was skeptical at first as most nail places don't like to work over top of another shops work, but he seemed confident so I let him go for it. Boy am I impressed. Very thin and natural looking - Just the way I like it - and absolutely flawless shape. These guys are not super great conversationalists it seems, but for $44.90 I can't complain. I come into the city every couple of weeks and will come back to Fusion nails everytime :-) I'm giving them a 4/5 only because I prefer more chitchat, and they had the news on - which I find to be pretty depressing and boring. Also, the chemical smell from acrylic was stronger than most places I've been, but they do have fans at every station. read more

I was in Vancouver for work for a couple of days. I got my nails DID on Robson. After tip and tax, I paid $75 just for the pedicure. I got back to the hotel and noticed that half the nails were botched with the polish coming off despite the fact that they said that 45 minutes under the drying machine was adequate. The next day I called local friends to see where they went to get a quality but inexpensive pedicure done (as I didn't want to shell out another $75!). They mentioned Fusion Beauty Skin & Nails in Surrey. It's far but conveniently right on the Sky Train line which I was going to be near since I was going to a lecture at SFU Surrey. I visited the salon with four other friends. The place smells of toxic chemicals (as nail salons tend to). They were staffed by efficient workers. We were in and out quickly. I paid $18 for my perfectly-painted manicure. My friends enjoyed their pedicures. The other customers all seemed to be regulars who told me they swore by this place. Apparently they do hood nails well too - but I went for the 'natural'. Obviously, you don't go to an establishment like this for luxurious standards. A place like this doesn't use organic, natural products. Nor do they speak English well, so customer service is very limited by communication. But they're not rude, and they do seem 'hygienic enough'. You go here for a good mani/pedi cleanup and paint-job that costs way less than getting it done downtown. If I ever happen to go back, I'll bring my own bottle of disinfecting alcohol and swabs for the tools, and my own natural moisturizer for the hand massage because their cream was a cheap, perfumey thing. read more

Well the place is cheap and does smell like a nail salon. The ladies do struggle to speak English but are nice enough. The generally do a ok job. However when the lady came to my massage said she can't give as much pressure as the other girls cause he has gained weight and her belly sticks out. UM!!!WHAT!!! I am a registered massage therapist and still perform pressured massage for hours at 6 MONTHS pregnant.... You are massaging my legs for 7 minutes and just told me how slow your day was. :(. Not that I expect deep tissue from a untrained person on my legs but pressure and a bottom of a foot rub is expected. Lose weight if it's effecting your job negitively. It's not my problem read more

I love this place! I had been told by someone that this was where they go for "cheap nails". And yes they are affordable, but they are also super long lasting! My nails had grown out for a full 4 weeks and there was no lifting or chipping. I am so impressed. The young man did my nails and he was very nice, funny and super fast! My full set took 45 minutes and my fill today only took 30. This is definitely the nail salon I will continue going to. read more

AMAZING. FANTASTIC. I got a gel fill and white gel with silver glitter tips. $60 after tips and it was worth it! The last nail tech i went to to get a new gel set screwed it up. almost every nail was bumpy and i had to go home to fix the shape. But Cody fixed the bumpy nails and gave me exactly what I wanted! The salon has a monomer liquid smell (the liquid for the acrylic powder) and the nail techs aren't talkative but the silence isn't awkward. My nail tech Cody also gave me my own baggy with a file, buffer, and file bit to take home (you b ring it back to the salon when you go back for a fill etc). He was also extremely gentle when he was doing the filing and buffing. i have a bad cuticle biting habit so my cuticles were all raw but he didn't hurt me at all. Went here a few times to get my acrylic nails filled. Seemed to be good up until I needed to get them redone. They were lifting really badly and had to do a lot of cutting away on the lifted parts. When she Filled them she never redid the line for the white part, whatever that's called. So the line was overgrown and looked like crap. Also, upon inspection later, you could see a line in the fill of where they had cut away the old nail and where the fill began. When it was time for another fill, again they were lifting really badly. Again they had to awkwardly cut away the lifted parts and refill. This time I asked for her to redo the white line. She didn't cut the line and use the white acrylic powder like they use for fills, she painted it on and used a brush and polish remover to try to straighten out the line. Quick and wasn't very straight. When I went to pay she charged me an extra $10 for it!! Never did she mention there would be an extra charge, plus redoing tips should be free because that's they whole point of getting nails redone, to make them look new again, not like they're still grown out! Was pretty irritated at this point Probably a week later when I looked at them, not only could you see 2 lines from when I got them filled, but also the parts that were lifting were still visible inside the nail! Like you could see white cloudy parts in the middle of the nail where they hadn't been cut out enough. And not only that the cut outs were not blended at all. I had gotten a recommendation by two people to go here, I don't know why. The smell is super nauseating and they don't vent the place or even try to air it out at all!! And My nails looked like crap, right from the start. Won't be going back here. read more

I have been here many times now and it has definitely become my go to place! The staff are all very friendly, it does not smell checmically and it is very clean inside. I have had 3 different technicians work on my nails and they each did a fantastic job, which I think speaks very highly of a salon (when every one of the technicians is fantastic and you aren't relying solely on one for you to be pleased with the outcome). I highly recommend this salon for any of their nail services (especially if you are a shellac lover, I have never had anyone else get the polish to close to the cuticle beds, which makes the polish last even longer. I jump between salons to find the perfect nail tech as I can be quite particular and quite picky and since I started going to see Cody, I can't find a single reason not to come back. The prices are extremely reasonable for what you get. Cody is beyond talented and skillful at what he does. This is the second time I have had my nails done by him and I can honestly say that he does not disappoint at all. His attention to detail and his ability to work quickly, yet still be so detailed in his work makes him the best nail tech I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Got my nails done here 2 weeks ago, shellac on the fingers and regular on toes. Within 2 days I had a chip on fingers, 4 days later I had another and now less than 2 weeks I have another one. I felt the place wasn't very clean at all and in fact there was mouse or rat droppings on the washroom floor. Also I did not see one of those machines to disinfect the tools. The only reason I have 2 stars is that they fixed 2 of my nails within the few days and the staff was pleasant. I will not be returning here though. read more

I wish I could give no stars. This is absolutely worse nail salon I have ever been to. I usually go in new west but I came here to come with my sister cause it's closer to her. We go in and show the exact same photos of what we wanted and they said yes we can Do that. We proceed to sit down and get our nails done. First of all the shape was all wrong so I had to tell him, he didn't clean my nails, he didn't cut them or cut my cuticles nothing. With my sister they tried to paint over her old nails... that makes no sense.. and they were grown out hence why she came to get a new set. I proceed to explain how my nails looked completly Different than my sisters and they tried to tell me it was cause of my Nail shape but the thing is the color was off the nail shape the design.. everything! My nails were rushed My full set was done in 30 minutes like what is that. I proceed to go to the counter to pay and explain how I was unhappy and that I wanted some money off because I felt it was unfair how it turned out and if my guy didn't know how to do it he should have just said no. They proceed to charge me and ignore what I was saying and I kept saying "excuse me I'm still talking" because they kept typing in my transaction. They proceeded to talk about me in their language which I found rude and told them that was extremely Impolite. As I'm Explaining I don't like my nails they threaten to phone the cops.. at this point im fed up because realist what the heck were they going to say to the cops.. that I don't like my nails? They would laugh. I felt racially profiled as I am a Indian,Jamaican, Latina female I felt as if they felt threatened which is extremely ridiculous. I never yelled screamed or swore I was only stern and serious in what I had to say. Great place for facials, they use Eminence. I think I have had 3 facials by Cinda there, she is very nice. Vietnamese run, clean, friendly environment. I used to go for pedicures there, when it was under different ownership (Diamante), but I had a pedicure done by a new girl once, the owner wasn't happy with her job, made her do it over. My butt was so sore for sitting for almost 2 hours, and I'm not positive, but I think I got foot fungus from that place or another one, had to take pills to get rid of it. I just do my own now, less time, and way cheaper. Go for the facials, not the pedicure. Looks like they do great gel and fake nails, but I never get manicures of any kind. Lots of choice for nail colours too. read more

Pretty good service I got gel nails with an acrylic base for $54 which is a pretty good deal compared to others. My nail technician was pretty nice....did not complain at all when I was being pretty indecisive (and annoying). The only thing that bothered me a little was that the shop was kind of unkept but I still got pretty good nails that I love. I will definitely go back. read more

Sorry to say, the lady I had was very pleasant, however my manicure only lasted 2 days. I feel like this place is not professional at all and the older lady aka "ring leader" has a rude demeanor. Won't go back here again. Anyone know any good nail places in Surrey, where the manicure lasts more than 2 days. Should have shellac' it instead... I got burned for the pedicure the hot stone was soo hot, my toe nail wasn't filed down (didn't notice till i came home it had a wave look) big toe problems. My bf had a burn and told the lady and she put the hot stone right on it! The ladies were speaking about another girl waiting to get her nail repainted and made her wait 1 hr (2 girls were not with clients didn't even help her). Not a place I would revisit. read more

I give 2 stars as a pose to 0 because even though the gentlemen who served me was novice, he was kind and friendly. I am most disapointed because I was not happy with my mani. (See pic of pink nails.) I let them know while i was there and my tech and the one next to him reassured me that with a 3rd coat and the final clear coat it would look better. I told them that I was afraid it would look too thick and would chip..and chip they did! Today (the next day) they are chipping like crazy. I really should have insisted that somone more experienced come and redo my mani but my tech was so nice that I felt bad. Now my nails are chipped and I regret having walked out th door like this. I called today and they only offered to fix my chipped nails. This does not solve the problem because they will fix the chipped ones but the other ones will end up chipping because there were 3 coats applied!!! Called to book an appointment and was told to come in 20 min. When I arrived they had several appointments and walk-ins already. Only had to wait 15 min. which was alright. But then Cody rushed through my shellac manicure to get to the next client. Didn't push back my cuticles or even catch my hang nails. The shellac looks nice. Also do not go there if you are sensitive to smells! The chemical smell is VERY over powering. Had a headache by the time I left. Price is very reasonable though. read more

I am disappointed that there isn't a 0 star option.The place was so bad like I walked in and it smelt like a musty armpit , when I actually got my nails done they were absolutely garbage like I had called in advanced to make sure that they were capable of doing a nail design that I wanted and they had said they can do it ,and when they were done I was very disappointed with the finished product, the symbol that I had wanted(I provided a picture of it)was total messed up and me and my friend had both gone and gotten the same thing and both very underwhelmed with it ,and I almost forgot to mention when I was getting my nails done and they were putting on the acrylic it for some reason was burning my nails, and not to mention that the coffin shape that I had asked for was really messed up, and the length was sorter then I had asked ,and this didn't happen to me but my friend told me that the person that did her nails gave her the file,buffer, and another thing they had used in her nails and they told her to keep it cause If she comes back here they would use the same items(btw we aren't EVER coming back), like that should just prove that the place is very unsanitary and unprofessional , I do NOT recommend going there, I'm not sure if it was just the location or something but I had a very bad experience. read more

First time here and I'm very happy. I had Lily, she was gentle and did an amazing job with my acrylic fill and shellac. Which was $40+ tax. The salon is in a very convenient location (right by Surrey Central) which makes it easy to just hop off the train coming home from work downtown .
