I just wanted to update my review. They are definitely still a 5 salon. Everyone has always been nice and professional. Each service has been above and beyond what I've received at other nearby salons. I can't believe some people gave 1 reviews. But some people are never happy. I've been going here for several years and I'm not aware of anyone who could "barely speak English ". So now onto more positive things. Brittany has done an awesome job with my hair. I had a really awful cut 5 years ago and she helped it grow out to be very flattering. In addition, I decided to quit coloring and blend in my natural white/grey tone. Again, Brittany did an absolutely wonderful job, which I always get compliments on. I am to the point where I tell Brittany to just do what she wants with my hair, because she never disappoints! Since my previous stylist left I have been using my recent one. Each visit was kind of awkward thou because she would do my hair little differently each time , in the end she usually fixed my hair and I would be satisfied, not sure why I was told that my stylist did not want to continue cutting my hair! She usually does pretty good but on my last visit she almost cut all my eye brows off and I made a comment that I was disappointed about it! Instead of apologizing about it and saying it won't happen again she told the receptionist to not reschedule me! I found that out when I called to reschedule! Is this really a way to do business by not being open to negative feedback? I've went to this establishment for years with different stylists, they all did their best! Sorry if I upset my last one! She really shouldn't be doing this line of work if she's not willing to hold herself accountable for her mistakes! read more

MThis place was recommended. I made an appointment to get a dramatic change of hair color. The stylist asking me if I wanted highlights, coloring, lowlights, etc. Since I am NOT a trained hairstylist I do not know what kind of techniques these people use. I show the stylist a picture of what I wanted to her. I explained that I wanted something that would complement my skin tone. She was unable to explain to me what she was going to do. She excused herself for a moment and when she came back she said my manager said I can't work on your hair. It would have been really nice had the manager came out and asked me what was wrong and try to explain it to this lady who had no clue what I wanted even though I showed her pictures. Obviously the manager sucks as much as the rest of the shop does. I would suggest that people do not go here because the staff is not trained, in the manager obviously doesn't care either because if she would have cared she would have come out and spoken to me directly. BTW, in response to the managers comments: I was NEVER provided any color samples!! The girl could barely speak English and was not able to to understand what I asked for!!!!!! read more

I have been going there about 4 years and noticed it has been looking dirty and dingy. The front desk personnel never smile or acknowledge you any more and the product is way overpriced. I have decided to fire them and go elsewhere. I don't like going somewhere so sad. Why did they get voted Denton's best??? Please don't go there, you guys. read more

Amazing staff. The salon is warm, inviting and fun. Everyone feels like a family member every time you walk in the door. I am always treated as if I'm the most important person in the salon. Could not ask to be treated any better. Y'all are the best! read more

My hair stylist was Brittany, and she was very sweet. The girl at the front desk was very professional and sweet as well. When I came in I told her up front that I was very nervous about getting my hair cut because I was wanting to cut a few inches off. I told her what I wanted and showed her pictures. She listened, and said that she understood what I was wanting. But then got out a razor to cut my hair. I have had that done ONCE, and it turned out AWFUL. When I expressed concern she was like, "if this is the style you want then this is the way we would normally cut it" I considered just walking out then. But I gave her a chance. She starts cutting and I'm watching her every move. she pulls my hair up to start cutting the layers, and normally they pull out a section at a 125 degree angle, you know not straight out to the side, but kind upwards, then they cut your layer.. Brittany took my section and pulled it straight up above my head and started cutting. When she let down that section my heart sank, because it looked HORRIBLE. There was this huge chunk and it was choppy looking, and my layers were HUGE. I freaked out and said "this is not what i wanted. It's so choppy!! Look at this!!" I held my chunk out and she explained that she wasnt done, and asked if I wanted her to stop cutting. I said " NO?? I can't go back to work like THIS!" So she kept cutting, and I had already accepted that it was going to look bad. Then with my hair still looking horrible, she hands me the hand held mirror and asked me to take a look... I said "this looks horrible... this is still SOOO choppy right here.. and the back isnt stacked like i asked:" She said "Well I'm not finished yet" I'm thinking "if youre not finished then why hand me a mirror and ask me to look at an unfinished product??" I told her to get the thinning shears and even out the layer and blend it, and she did.. My hair turned out nice. There is still a choppy layer in the front, but I style it to where you cant tell. I think that me being super nervous about it maybe made her nervous. I will still come back to have my hair trimmed or styled, but I will not get a major change there anymore. Brittany was still very pleasant to work with, but I'm very picky. read more

So terrible! Never come here. My mother, sister, and I came on recommendation from a family friend. My mother explained what we needed, 3 hair cuts and one hair coloring, along with our hair types. They said Rosa would be out stylist. First of all, it took 4 hours to do three people, but that wasn't even the issue. It took 45 minutes to start on my mother's hair because the stylist was unable to help her figure out what she wanted. Then my mom finally finished asking for one color, not high lights, in a dark chocolate brown color like Zooey Deaschnel from New Girl. Rosa said she understood. She did her hair and when she washed it my mother was freaking out saying it was WAY too light and the complete wrong color. Rosa insisted it would be darker dry. It wasn't. I mean it when I say it looked the way black hair looks when someone bleached it, a horrible orange color. Another stylist who seemed way more competent came over to try to help fix it. They did some kind of gloss but it still ended up the wrong color. It still has a bad orange hue. Not once did Rosa apologize, she was very adamant that my mom was unclear when in fact I was there and I helped my mom explain what she wanted and we were very clear and used a photo. I wanted to walk out right when she messed up, but it needed to be fixed. My mom is going to try to get it fixed in a month or two somewhere else. She should not have paid for that horrible dye job and should be refined the $110 it cost to make her hair look horrible. So honestly never ever go to Rosa for coloring and don't expect an apology if someone makes a giant mistake. read more
