However, the owner seem to take the customers for granted, by being very unprofessional in his dressing (as though he is taking his dog for a walk), smoking and smells of smoke when he takes care of customers. I know there is a language barrier, in terms of communication, but he should work on his communication skills. That said, he is a nice person, but his presentation, wearing shorts/tshirt that is not" kept well", needs some work. When you deal with the public how you present yourself is very important. I want to start off with saying that the nail tech was very nice and did try hard to please me but the language barrier just made it extremely difficult. The shop was full of flies for some reason and they would not stay out of my face. The prices were average but the quality was sub par. I came in for a pedicure. It was clean and peaceful inside. I sat in my chair and the water was just warm rather than very warm which I prefer. The massage part of the pedi was decent. The grooming and painting was not. The polish wasn't down to my cuticles and looked a week grown out. My nails were shaped unevenly and curl tucked barely trimmed. The girl who did it was nice. She said she only works there when they call her to help out. They did offer a glass of wine. Price was reasonable. The grooming and polish matter a lot to me as that's the most important to have my nails look great after and last a couple of weeks. I'm on the fence about trying it out again. My best friend, her daughter and I come here every three weeks. It's a small salon and you have to book them at least 1 week in advance. They're very popular so it's not the kind of place you can just walk into and expect service. Call before you come so you're not disappointed if they're booked already. My nail tech, Tina, is very professional and does a great job on my nails - keeping me cool. Her hubby, Thomas, does one of the hardest jobs ever, that is giving me a pedi. I'm very ticklish so we have to deal with that. Yesterday, I did more than the basic pedi on his recommendation. As soon as the warm parafin wax molded to my feet I could feel the stress that is stored there leave.. They are consistently good, the staff is friendly and I love coming in as much as possible. I got my nails done there today (10/14/2020) and it was a great experience. It was relaxing and clean! I had called around 2:30 and I was able to come at 3. When I got there I was seated right away and the lady at the front helped me choose my color. I didn't get the name of the man who did my nails but he was very kind and gentle to my nails since I had previously had dipped on and it is hard to get off. I had been recommended by a coworker that this was the place to go to in Corinth so I really wanted to give it a shot. And I loved it! When I walked in, I wasn't greeted for a bit, but Tina was really friendly and offered options that I wasn't given during my phone call or when I walked in. SO happy with my service today. I had an eyebrow wax and classic pedicure. The place is clean, nicely decorated, English speaking (don't pretend this doesn't matter) and has quality equipment and products. As a former nail tech and multiple location spa director, I'm unusually neurotic about quality and cleanliness. This place got an A++! Ugh wow. I had such a great time here. I normally go to another salon in the area but they were closed on tuesdays. it was a Tuesday and my birthday and I was determined to get my nails done at a clean and nice shop with wine. I found this place on yelp or google and called and made an appointment. When I arrived I was greeted by Corri who was very accommodating and get this...she introduced herself! It seems so simple but I've been to MANY nail salons around the country and Canada. And more often than not they never tell me their name or ask my name and it's just such a simple hospitable thing to do and it sat so we'll with me. Literally flattered me! Anyway she asked exactly how I wanted my eyebrows and did them perfectly! My pedicure was done by Kevin who was AWESOME. He was super thorough and gentle. I was extra relaxed and my Deluxe massage which felt like a full 10 mins it was great. Also note. This is more of a "spa" as it was very quiet so if you're looking for a salon where u can talk on the phone and stuff all loud it might not be for u. I personally can't talk on the phone quietly so I had to delay my calls lol. But that's a good thing if u like to escape and have some peace and quiet. MAJOR ALERT!...the technicians were professional. They weren't speaking to each other the entire time and speaking in another language while in the middle of working on me... which I understand is more comfortable for some people. But it can become a little awkward and what not and again just goes to show how hospitable and professional they are. It was refreshing! Then I got a dip by MIKE and mike was AMAZING. Super nice friendly and conversational enough to where u could have a full convo or just a quick chat. He hooked my nails all the way up and while I would love for him to do me every time I come --because this is now my new spot--I think my nails would look great regardless of who did them. I hate leaving negative reviews but I think it's important in this case. There are so many positive reviews that I didn't take My friends advice and go to her nail place. My mistake. I'll start off with a positive. It's clean and the owner is very friendly. On the negative side, Firstly, the color selection is ok, not spectacular & a lot of them were very obviously diluted. Secondly my daughter and I both were bleeding due to cuticles being cut during our mani and pedis (on our hands and feet). We both got gel manicures and they both are a bit lumpy and pocked. The edges of the gels are shrunk up and uneven and the top coat was noticeably not applied to the entirety of the nails. The 'massage' with the manicure took about 60 seconds and was basically a few pinches and light strokes and that was that. The massage for the $40 pedicure was also pretty flimsy compared to most that I've received elsewhere. The nail polish on the toes is also not evenly applied and some areas are more covered and opaque, while other areas have some of the actual nail showing through. The staff wasn't unfriendly but they weren't exactly happy about being there either from their demeanor. It showed in their work product. Out of the 4 techs working on our nails, one seemed to care about what he was doing. Even the front counter lady didn't engage much and even forgot to bring my manicurist the gel color I picked out. She was more concerned about sitting at the desk watching tv. It's possible we just came on an off day, but when I'm paying $150 between the two of us, not including tip, I don't expect anything less than a professional staff and clean lines and smooth colors on our nails when we leave. We are going on vacation and aren't going to spend more money to have someone else fix it & won't have the time before we leave, but I really wish we could. My only advice is to look closer at your nails before you leave the store. It wasn't until my kiddo and I were home and really had a chance to look at them that we were really displeased with the color evenness & overall sloppy application. I knew I'd been cut on my pedi but my kid didn't show me her toes feet and fingers until we left also, or I would have not tipped as well as I did. Oh well, lesson learned. Next time take your friends' advice who gets their nails done regularly & don't always rely on fantastic yelp reviews. read more

I took my little girl (7) for a little pedicure. I made an appointment for 2pm. The lady on the phone said nothing else was available. When we walked in I was very surprised it was not busy at all. There was only 2 people getting pedicures. I asked the lady at the front (a middle aged white lady) if my daughter and I could get a design. She asked if we wanted a flower and I said no, we want college football teams. She asked for a picture. I showed her my picture (USC) and she said they could do a SC but couldn't intertwine the S and the C. Um... no I told her never mind. If the two letters aren't intertwined it's not USC. She was really not very accommodating, but I did notice she had just had her own nails done as she was blowing on them. She told us to pick a color. As we were doing so another customer walked in and she never turned around. I actually told her she had a customer at the counter. Never said, thank you or anything of the sort. Just turned around. The receptionist never offered us a beverage. I don't know if this is the owner but she needs some help with customer service. The two male nail techs that did our nails were very good and kind. The receptionist turned away 4 customers as we were sitting there and one of the techs (servicing another client) was saying that was money walking away, I totally agree with him. Why wouldn't the receptionist ask the employees providing the services if they could do it? We liked the nail techs so much we will be back, but I will speak to them directly and ask about designs since they are the ones doing the work. read more

I had lash extensions and a manicure at Couture. The lash extensions were okay - pretty heavily applied and not balanced as my right eye was not applied in the same way as my left. The manicure however was horrible. Possibly the worst I've ever had. The second coat was uneven and didn't even cover the first. I could have done better myself at home and in the dark. UPDATE: Cory reached out to me after this review, said that the work was not acceptable and said she was going to refund me for the services. I had the manicure redone completely and had to visit a lash salon to have that work repaired. The new salon said that the lashes were not placed close enough to the lash line which is why they leaned to the center of my face. The technician who did the repairs also said there was twice as much glue as necessary which explains why I had brittle, crunchy parts of my lashes at the base. It cost me as much to do these repairs as the lashes originally cost me at Couture. The damage to my real lashes will take four to six weeks to grow back. When the refund didn't show up after a week, I reached out to Cory and she said she was only refunding $80 - less than half of what I paid and less than half of what the repairs cost. The refund was never made, which means that Cory lied - about her dedication to customer service and about her refunding of the cost. Do not go to this salon. read more

What a hidden gem! I visited for the first time today, as I work down the street, and made the last-minute decision to do a little pampering. As always, I scanned Yelp. I started in Denton, but didn't see the kind of reviews I'd hoped. Just for kicks, I searched within a mile and found Couture, and with the reviews it boasted, knew I must give it a try. I was catered to from the minute I walked through the door! GREAT selection of nail color that is well organized! Not many places can make that claim. Jenny did a great job on my pedicure, and was just the sweetest to talk to. The foot and calf massages were perfect, and she didn't tickle me at all with the pumice. That in itself made me so happy! Corey did my brows and I was equally impressed. She's so nice and does a fantastic job. This was the kicker for that 5th star though... I was out in the parking lot, getting ready to leave, and Corey came out calling my name. She admitted that she had miscalculated and over-charged me (I thought the price was already appropriate for the services I received, and thought nothing of it), and gave me back the money I was owed-- right on the spot.
